⭐☆☆☆☆ — Extremely Poor Service and Damage to Property

While the technicians who came out were polite, the overall service was deplorable. The work they performed resulted in thousands of dollars of damage to my ceiling. Despite multiple visits, the office staff could not even locate my records when I called for help—despite having voicemails and invoices proving they had been out several times. The lack of accountability and coordination between the field technicians and the office is shocking. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Burnside AC.

Burnside is the best in the area with consistent service and work. Yesterday my heater was not working and Garrett came after hours on Friday evening. Very friendly and accommodating. Went over and above!

I usually don’t leave reviews but Burnside AC really impressed me both times I’ve used them. They were honest and affordable, and they worked around my schedule without any problem. Every technician I met was pleasant, professional, and willing to go above and beyond to make sure everything was done right. It’s rare to find a company you can truly trust, and I highly recommend them.

We called Burnside after receiving a questionable assessment of our HVAC from a different AC company. Darryl came to the house and performed a thorough evaluation of the system. He showed and explained everything, letting us know the true condition of our system and answering all of our questions. He was knowledgeable, polite, and personable, and we were sure we could trust what he said. We highly recommend him and this company to everyone!

Jason did an excellent job as usual. He serviced both of our Oennox units and provided some helpful recommendations.

Just so you know, this company is offering $25 off of work they will do for a 5 star review but I can’t. I had this company on a contract. Their prices are high, but the last straw was when they told me they could put in a vent that would take heat out of the second floor and put it back into the system. In the summer it always gets too hot because heat rises. The vent would cost me $400. I paid it and they installed it. It made no difference whatsoever! $400 wasted! Every time a tech came, I told him about the problem and that I needed my money back. He said it does the job but not as well as it should, which was a lie. It does not do the job at all. As soon as my contract ended, I switched to someone else.

My A/C decided to quit working and my normal guy retired so was in a prediciment. I found Burnside on the Better Business Bureau, they have an A+ rating, good reviews and zero complaints. I called they fit me in the same day, I ended up rescheduling to the following morning and they were very accommodating. Chris the tech called me to let me know when he was on the way and provided an estimated time of arrival, he was super cordial and professional. He also explained everything he was checking and doing the whole way through. I inquired about the age of my unit since I was contemplating replacing it with a more efficient one in the near future and he was able to provide details not only about it but also comparatively to a newer unit as well as the different options available. He didn't try to pressure me into anything but he gave me the information required so that I can start planning and making arrangements. My whole experience with Burnside and Chris was fantastic.

Burnside is tops. Jacob, our technician was amazing. We had to have a part replaced on our unit . We finished , he left, and 10 minutes later he came back and said he wanted to check to make sure with the air on that it kicked on. I really appreciated his care and attention to detail. They are superb company.

I have not had the service performed yet but I will say the estimate visit went very well. Aaron answered all my questions and gave me additional information that I need to consider as I gather the rest of my estimates. Very transparent and he is such a fun-loving representative of a company who's work he is passionate about. They have a flat rate per unit but if he had not come out, I would not have learned all the additional information which will help me greatly in my selection process.

Jason was excellent. Extremely knowledgeable and very professional. I am really happy with the service he provided, as well as conversing with him personally. I highly recommend him and Burnside. They parked their service truck partially covering my driveway and I had 2 cars parked on my driveway with the one blocked having to leave, so when a guy came back to the service truck I asked him if he was going to leave and then asked him if he could move the truck. His response: “Yeah I’m leaving soon” in an extremely annoyed tone, slammed his door, and just stormed right back to the house he was working at. As he was walking away I said “EXCUSE me? Did you hear what I said?” And he completely ignored me and continued walking off. I was caught so off guard by his response, I called the number plastered on the truck and all they said was that they’ll reach out to technician. Never got the name of the technician. 5-10 minutes later I walked back out to see if I can leave and sure enough the truck was gone. To be fair I’ve never used their services but now I know to avoid them like the plague in the future since they clearly don’t train field workers to act professionally. I wouldn’t be surprised if this shows in the quality of their services. Incredibly unprofessional.

Darryl Penn from Burnside A/C & Heating was hard-working, so friendly, and very professional. He worked incredibly hard for us, spending hours in the attic inspecting our system when it was 100 degrees outside, all the while making sure everything was fixed in a timely manner. He has made me and my family customers for life. Because of my experience with Darryl, I know that Burnside is a company I can trust. I will be requesting him anytime we need help with our A/C and heating systems! Thank you Darryl😇🙏!!

I had a first class experience with Dominic and his crew. From the start including the site inspection, and mechanical drawings, to the completed installation, every detail exceeded my expectations. There were plenty of guys on hand to get the job done quickly and to leave a neat clean job site! I would highly recommend Burnside Heat and Air, they will certainly be my first choice for future projects

They were referred to me by a friend. I called them earlier this year to fix my AC and they were vert punctual in getting me in. The technician told me several things were wrong and fixed them one including the panel. He also told me I needed a new AC soon. Not long after this, my heater stopped working. I once again called them and they were very punctual about coming to see me. It was the same technician. He told me my AC unit needed to be replaced and that was it. I called to get another opinion from another company. Come to find out the Burnside technician didn’t replace a part for the heater which needed to be done since I had anew panel. The part was still in the box that the Burnside technician left in the attic next to the AC unit. The other guy fixed it for free and told me I probably have several more years on my AC unit. So far so good. I would NOT trust the technician from Burnside that helped me.

Knowledgeable technician, nice guy, very honest. I love Burnside and the family-owned format. Screw all these private-equity profit mills succumbing to greed. I’ll stick with Burnside as ling as they remain fair, honest, and independent, because they represent.

The technician was extremely fair, honest, affordable, and arrived on-time. He was pleasant and competent. Excellent communication. He educated me on additional services but there were NO high-pressure sales pitches. I’ve had annual maintenance plans with other companies that were constantly up-selling and even up-charging. Not Burnside, however. They’ll be my annual providers, now!

Had our compressor go out last year. Jason Sherrod was our service tech. Very efficient and professional. Signed up for the bi-yearly maintenance plan for peace of mind. Would recommend Burnside!

I used their service last year to replace a coil in our main unit and they offered a fair price. They were always on time and the quote matched the job they did. They did excellent work and were very respectful.
I did sign up for their gold service at the time and they just came out today for the free service inspection. The tech was great and didn't try to offer or sell me on anything I did not need or want. Thank you.

Texas weather really keeps you on your toes, and when we suddenly hit freezing temps earlier this week (in November🥶), our thermostat displayed an error code and the heat completely stopped working. Total panic moment.

We called Burnside and spoke to Retha. She understood our urgency and got us scheduled right away. Of course Texas weather then decided to be back in the 80s, but that did not change us needing to get the problem fixed! Hamza came out to the house, figured out the issue in no time, and had our heat running again before we knew it. Hamza also showed us our air filter and recommended we change it. Our filter had only been in the system for about 3 months, but with 3 dogs in the house it sure was ready for a new one. He also helped us understand how we can better set our thermostat temperature ranges so we make full use of our duel fuel system.

Donnie, Dean, Kevin, and Tim have put together such a genuine, hardworking crew at Burnside. We couldn’t be more thankful for how quickly and kindly they took care of us.
