I was at my wit's end with HVAC companies that wanted to replace rather than repair, could not figure out what the issue was, and could not follow simple contact instructions. Ray was prompt, VERY competent and thorough, and I could tell he enjoyed sharing his knowledge during the course of the visit. Where's that six-star option?!

Ray has done great work for me on both my AC and heating. He explains everything clearly, does exactly what’s needed, and takes real pride in his work. It’s such a relief to have someone I can trust to get the job done right. If you’re looking for a dependable and quality HVAC company, Ray is your guy.

Moved in two years ago and haven’t had AC maintenance since last owner. Found Top Notch listed on Yelp and thought I would give them a shot. My husband was an A/C tech so I’m picky about service. Service Tech Ray showed up on time to do a tune up and I was shocked when he called me outside to show me the state of my outdoor condenser. He had opened it up and found it was completely caked in mud! He hosed the entire unit down and the before and after photos are crazy. Thank God he checked on it because I would have never thought to ask. The whole tune up and cleaning would have cost $129 but I ended up signing up for the Club membership because my husband used to always say memberships save money. Its bi-annual tune ups and 15% off parts and labor if I ever need a service call, which makes more sense to me because here in Texas, this heat is so scary. I like that these guys have very straightforward pricing because other places kind of gave me a run around when I asked how much it would cost and the tech was really nice. Sometimes you get a guy that leaves you in the dark but he explained everything and I didn’t feel pressured. I would recommend calling them.

I called several HVAC companies after my unit went down, but most of them only gave me appointment times without much help. When I called Top Noch, Ray personally answered and immediately took the time to troubleshoot possible issues over the phone. That alone convinced me that his service would be different. We scheduled a same-day appointment, and when Ray arrived, he carefully explained the entire situation with my HVAC. Since some parts weren’t available, he ordered them right away and had them rushed so he could return and install them the very next day. Ray’s customer service is truly on another level—his prices are fair, and the knowledge and care he provides are invaluable.

Ray was fantastic! I reached out with an HVAC issue, and he came out the same day to take care of it. He was prompt, professional, and explained everything clearly so I understood what was going on. The repair was quick, the pricing was fair, and my system is running perfectly now.

Unfortunately, another hvac company sent a tech who almost destroyed our unit and wanted us to replace the entire system which would cost us an arm and a leg.

Ray came through, put everything back together and fixed the heating for a very affordable price. Also, his customer service is 2nd to none.

If you want a trustworthy hvac professional, Ray is the one.

They came out and replaced our entire unit and did an exceptional job from start to finish. The technician was extremely personable and professional he genuinely cared about helping us, not just completing a job. It didn’t feel like dealing with a typical business; you can tell they truly value relationships and customer satisfaction.

He went above and beyond, even registering our new unit for warranty and scheduling the inspection on our behalf. The installation was flawless, everything works perfectly, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience.

Our AC stopped cooling and we called Top Notch.
Had an awesome experienced with TopNotch’s service. Ray was easy to work with. Very knowledgeable and explained everything at the initial visit. 3days later, he got the parts needed and fixed our AC. Top Notch also added a return in our hallway ceiling and charged us a very reasonable price for it since he they were already going to fix the AC anyway. Ray and his team did a very good job!!!

Our larger compressor just stopped working. We called Ray with Top Notch about 8:30am and he found a way to work us into his packed schedule same day. He was able to quickly identify the problem and get us back cooling. Cost was very reasonable and we highly recommend Ray and Top Notch. We were so impressed we signed up for the Comfort Club that includes spring & fall cleaning/tune ups of our 2 systems. We recognize the value of routine checks but other companies always seem to press for us to buy something “extra” - we didn’t get that feeling with Too Notch.

I text a message hoping to hear from someone in the morning...nope....got a call from the owner Ray at 2:05am. He arrived before 3am and found the issue. Definitely a God Send. So grateful for this wonderful man getting us taken care of with a kind and cheerful heart for serving others. Have a heating or air conditioner problem here's your guy. Ray is truly awesome. We're part of the membership he offers for maintenance tune ups, and thank goodness we are! We have old systems (20 years) and he comes out every once in a while to tune them up. He has always gotten us in same day and fixes our issue. We get 15% off repairs for being members as well. He explains everything and documents very well. Highly recommend Ray and Top Notch AC!!

Ray did amazing job on our AC unit! We had to do a weekend call for our A/C unit to be fixed for Texas up and down weather. Ray communicated throughout the entire experience with my husband and I, who were in two different places. Ray was very respectful and thoughtful. Small family own business and I love that. I would choose this company again for anything we need!

Awesome! The AC bombed out tonight. Left a voicemail expecting to hear from them tomorrow. Within a few minutes, we got a call back. Once he found out we have little ones, he was hoping in the truck right away. Then he was here! He fixed it in less than 15 minutes. Malcom's is the best AC repair service you could hope to have. He hits that perfect trifecta of fast, cheap, AND good! There aren't enough stars for this review.

I called Malcolm's on a Sunday morning, and was immediately greeted by a technician rather than a dispatcher. He told me he could be there in an hour or less. Every other AC repair company I called said it would be at least 5 hrs. Malcolm's was here in under an hour and was not only incredibly knowledgeable but took the time to show me what he was doing every step of the way and answered all my many questions. Extremely professional and fast service at a reasonable price! Was able to diagnose the problem on an old unit, order parts (!!) and get it back running before a winter storm. I would recommend Malcolm’s Heating & Air to anyone!

I could not be more satisfied with the way my call and repair was handled, David came out within 10 minutes of the call and the repair was made in about the same amount of time all in all from call to finish took 20 mins. David was kind and that's such a blessing in itself.

Not only did the previous company not fix the problem, they charged me for a new thermostat I didn’t need. Within 3 minutes of listening to what my AC unit was doing, David had already opened the closet and pointed out the problem. A very simple problem that he fixed then checked again before leaving. He also serviced the outside unit. Unlike the companies before who just charged and rinsed it with a water hose, David took the top off and cleaned the entire unit, inside and out, motor and all. Great price, even better service. Highly recommended.

David Malcolm responded immediately and professionally to my call on a July 4th Sunday evening around 8am. My tenant's A/C was not working. Prior to calling David, I tried calling several places, left them messages but no one responded that evening. I was grateful that David responded and got the A/C working for my tenants. Apparently there was a leak that flooded the floor underneath the unit. David went above and beyond to remove the excess water. I was expecting a huge bill but his cost was reasonable and affordable esp on a holiday weekend when I know he didn't have to respond to my call. He was personable and professional. I highly recommend David's excellent service and definitely will use him again.
