We had AIRCO install a 4-ton Daikin Fit heat pump in our home in west Austin. Our old Trane system had given up after 13 years. We had gotten 4 bids from other Austin HVAC companies and went with AIRCO based on price, warranty and quality of installation. Their bid was the second lowest but it was for a much better system -- a variable speed inverter compared to a single stage system -- and it had a better warranty on parts (12 years vs 10) and labor (5 years vs 3). For the record, the lowest bid was $12K and the highest bid was $25K (!). The AIRCO bid was $14K.

But what was most important to us was the quality of the installation. Modern heat pumps are pretty reliable and most of the problems you have with them come from sloppy installs. I can attest to this: our old Trane had great hardware but it was installed by hurried subcontactors who slammed it into our house like a NASCAR pit crew. We had all sorts of intstall related problems afterwards.

In contrast AIRCO took most of the day to do the install right. I know this because I had downloaded and read the Daikin install manuals and, because of our previous bad install experience, carefully watched the whole process asking question at each step. The two installers did a great job and I'm sure I made a nuisance of myself but this time I know everything was done right.

Three days after the install we had a icestorm and temperatures dipped into the low 20s. And the system worked like a champ. The only issue I had was that some of the default settings for the new thermostat were left unchanged and the aux heat came on sooner than it needed to. A call to the AIRCO office resolved this in a few minutes.

Brandon was great! Super fast (turns out it was a very simple issue) and he showed me how I can prevent it from happening again. ComfortAir was very responsive from booking the appointment quickly, and the communication up to Brandon arriving at my home. I will definitely use y’all again should the need arise.

Texas Comfort Air came to my house for a routine service and to check on why my float switch kept tripping. They resolved the float switch issue and cleaned out some of the AC parts. Brandon was professional and I will continue doing business with Texas Comfort

Had an issue with the excessive heat causing problems with the efficiency of the unit. Technician was timely and did a thorough inspection of the unit and explained what he found to me. After a short tune up of the system, he was on his way and my house was cooling better. Being a member of their maintenance program simplifies keeping everything in great condition.

I absolutely do not recommend this company! Our experience has been horrible from install to service. We used Mark's company Texas Comfort Air twice for our new construction homes and were told that we were getting the best units possible.

In our most recent home, we have had to replace every single coil at two years post-construction which cost us thousands of dollars (over $6000+) in total repair on our dollar. They didn't cover any of the issues. Let me add we have had issues from day 1 with cooling and heating and there are always excuses to why it doesn't work properly. The excuses have been ridiculous...It's too efficient, it's too smart, it's too hot outside, etc. We have built over 7 new construction high-end custom homes over the last 15 years and have never experienced any of these issues with prior installs and servicing from other companies.

While we have had issues, from day 1 and had very costly issues at 2 years that we had repaired, now at 3 years post install, we have an air leak in our attic, an issue with the AC motor, and likely more coil leaks. We scheduled an appointment for service/repair and they notified us on the day they were supposed to come that they are no longer servicing us (how convenient). The owner is not responding to my calls and gave ample chances to rectify the issue. If you live in Spanish Oaks (a high-end neighborhood) where there is lots of new construction, I am aware of several families that have run into the exact same issues.

The fact that Texas Comfort Air installed and recommended these products, charged us for thousands of dollars in repairs within two years that we paid, and at three years still having major issues so they are no longer servicing is beyond unprofessional.

Texas Comfort Air is a wonderful Company. They showed up, diagnosed my issues and they were here the next day to put in a new unit. They did an amazing job, the staff is wonderful, professional. Brandon was awesome! He was able to address AND fix the issue within half an hour. On top of that he cleaned our outdoor unit of debris and tightened a bunch of screws so our unit no longer rattles. He went above and beyond and was confident in his work and diagnosis, and within 15 minutes of him leaving we have sweet sweet cool air being pumped through the house again, much to our pets relief as well.

Excellent response time and fixed the issue. Brandon always does an excellent job. Thought there shouldn’t have been a charge since the problem should’ve been fixed on a previous semi annual maintenance call.

Terrible bookkeeping, STOPPED honoring initial , on brand new system installed CMC contract pricing. Mark the owner never got back with me about my partial contract refund, after they decided San Antonio was no longer in their service area.

Two technicians came out to diagnose a potential leak or mildew issue. Guys were very friendly and very knowledgeable on the situation. They took the time to address all the questions I had and asked if I had any more. However, I was pretty surprised by the hefty $250 charge just to tell me that everything is in good and normal working condition. I don't believe the amount of service they put in was worth that much. Otherwise, great experience.
