Plumbing reviews in Round Rock, Texas

Mario G did such a thorough job checking the gas line to our water heater. He took his time and answered all of my many, many questions. He practically read my mind when he sensed how uncomfortable I was with the gas line and even showed me how to check for gas leaks on the line in the future. Additionally, he showed me how all the features on the water heater work as well — I now know how to adjust the temperature of the water for the whole house. I highly recommend Mario. He was polite, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure I felt safe in our home.

Edit: I did some additional research after posting this review. There is a pattern to this company’s poor performance. Look at last few reviews on other platforms. e.g. Yelp. A lot of people complain about exorbitant costs, unprofessional technicians, unresponsiveness, and not completing the job without charging you a fortune. Stay away!
The State of All State is poor! Mike and his team only want to get your money and not do the job. I contracted with them to find a water leak under my patio sink. They sent a subpar, incompetent plumber for the job who spent hours trying to cut the concrete under the sink. At one point, he didn’t have the right supplies and had to go to Home Depot to find supplies. He was gone for hours. How do you show up to a job not knowing what to do and without the right tools? He charged $250 and made 0 progress. Mike and his team came back 2 days later to investigate and wrote me up an estimate for $1200 and still couldn’t say for sure they’ll be able to find the leak. I had another plumbing company check out the project and they were able to get everything done in less than half the cost and within a few hours. Do not recommend All State at all! They just want to write up expensive estimates, not send experienced plumbers for the job, and leave you hanging half way through.
I made an honest phone call to Mike requesting to be refunded part of the payment I made for the job since they didn’t make any progress. He flat out refused and just said “you’re getting nothing!”. My 2 cents for anyone looking to contract with this team, save yourself the hassle and do not contract with this company. -
Needed to have my water filtration system replaced after it sprung a leak. I called Allstate and they were able to send a technician out that day. Dion was very professional and polite had the new system replaced within the hour. Explained the process and how the new system works and was able to dispose of the old system for me. I was very pleased and would highly recommend Allstate for future references.

Very thankful that Holly was able to dispatch immediately to my mom's house in South Austin. Marco was thorough in getting the water disposal fixed and gave us quotes to replace the hard to turn bathroom sink and for our water heaters so that when we need them, they won't charge another service fee when we're ready to move forward. Thank you!

Allstate Plumbing came out and did our bathroom plumbing remodel. We had to get our bathtub, and sinks moved and also replaced. They provided the fixtures, labor and materials. Thank fully I didn’t have to run around and look for the fixtures. I just don’t have the time. We worked with Mike and Beau and they explained everything to us. I’m glad we chose them because they did a great job and provided a great service!

We had one faucet with slow flowing water and one faucet that made a loud chattering noise when the water was turned on. Allstate came out, took one faucet out and determined that they needed to replace the cassette and regulator but did not have the part. On a second day they returned and installed the parts. The problems were not corrected. The technician called another plumber for advise and then said he would come back another time and "check the isolation valve behind the trim plate". (It seemed to us that this should have been done before replacing the cassette.) We were charged $617.24 (parts and labor) and nothing had been fixed. We called the Allstate office and were told the owner would contact us. After a day we called again. Still no response. On the 3rd day we called again but still could not talk to the owner. We then called back one last time and said we would put a stop on the check if we did not get a response. We then got a call back from the technician that did the work (he could not make any adjustments or suggestions) and a person that we think was the office manager. She was very irate about our mentioning a stop check and would only discuss all the charges they would add on if we did not pay the $617.24. No one would ever talk to us about the amount of the bill for replacing 2 cartridges which did not solve any of our problems. We really feel like we were taken advantage of and only wanted to have a reasonable discussion about the situation. I have never had such a negative experience with a business and would suggest that you try someone else.

My water heater went out. I called Allstate Plumbing and provided the general manager with the make/model of my existing water heater. The general manager immediately responded with a quote. The next day my new water heater was installed. I am 100% satisfied with the fast response, competitive price and professional installation. I highly recommend Allstate Plumbing and will be using them for any future plumbing needs.

Allstate plumbing is hands down the place you go to when in need of a plumbing emergency! I had a broken pipe that needed immediate attention and the Allstate team was very responsive. They had a plumber at my place within 20 minutes. Their plumber was super competent and helpful. He knew what he was doing and he was efficient. Wasted no time resolving the issue! Thank you Allstate Plumbing for providing excellent service! 😁

George came our to the rescue on a weekend to assess water leak and emergency issue, and he provided details for the home insurance company. He was knowledgeable, kind, efficient, and fast! He gave us some great information and plumbing care tips. I would definitely use Allstate for prevention, inspections, and repairs in the future! Very great customer service!

They came over and did an excellent job. They were on time and replaced my Water Heater. Their master plumber Tommy even came over and did an inspection afterwards to make sure all was well, that guy knows everything. They were so polite and and hardworking. I would definitely recommend hiring them. They don’t even charge you 139$ if you end up getting the work done.

I had a clogged bathroom drain problem in July 2023 and had Alex from Allstate Plumbing to fix it. It took me $480+ for a mainline snaking and 2 LBS Crystal Heat to resolve this issue. After about less than 3 months (at the end of September), the same drain was clogged again under normal use. I called the Allstate Plumbing, and my call was transferred to Holly. Holly told me that the drain clogging cleaning service is warranted for only 30 days, and I need to pay $139 for someone to have a revisit (only inspection, no service included). So, this is my experience with Allstate Plumbing. Poor quality and poor value.
Update on 01/23/2024:
I am compelled to set the record straight regarding the recent response from the owner of Allstate Plumbing Heat & Air to my comment about their service. It appears that rather than addressing the concerns raised, the owner has chosen to spread falsehoods and misrepresent the facts. Here's a reiteration of my experience:
1. The owner alleges that I refused to pay for the service and called the company multiple times, which is completely false. In reality, I faced a drain clog issue in July 2023, sought quotes from various companies, and opted for Allstate Plumbing due to their prompt response. I paid for the service on the same day. Contrary to the owner's fabrications, I only reached out once in September.
2. The owner boldly states that they don't warranty a clog if there's a necessary repair and the customer declines it. This is a lie. I accepted the solution proposed by technician without hesitation. The subsequent recurrence of the clog prompted me to seek further clarification. However, the company's response was an offer for an additional paid inspection with no assurance of resolution.
3. I am genuinely taken aback by the unprofessionalism exhibited in the owner's response. Falsely accusing customers and dismissing concerns as the actions of a troublemaker is not a good strategy. Upon reviewing other replies, it appears this is not an isolated incident.
I hope that this clarifies the situation and prefer not to invest additional time in addressing this matter. Again, everyone's mileage may vary, but these are the facts of my specific encounter with Allstate Plumbing Heat & Air. -
Dion Kester was absolutely amazing. He explained everything about the issues I was having and gave me several options to choose to get it fixed. He was mindful of budget and insured he had choices that made sense. He was responsive to concerns, and he went above and beyond to make sure my whole house was taken care of. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs someone absolutely reliable.

Allstate Plumbing was very accommodating when requesting they work around my abnormal schedule. Also, due to my house's age, there were additional issues that needed to be addressed that required about 8 hours of unplanned work, but they stuck to their original estimate. Excellent customer service and moral integrity are almost impossible to find in companies these days and it was refreshing to find one.

Our A/C was leaking through our ceiling and AllState sent someone out ASAP. James was our technician and he was phenomenal. We are so incredibly grateful for this company who promptly sent someone out and was transparent about the procedure and prices. We would absolutely recommend AllState Plumbing Heat and Air to everyone. Thank you for everything!

I needed a plumber on a Sunday evening and couldn’t wait until Monday as we were leaving early for a trip. James Shaw came at 11:00 pm on a Sunday and couldn’t have been any nicer, and competent! I will definitely use this company again and I’ll be sure to ask for James.

The team this group has is incredible! I had multiple issues. They navigated me thru all of it. Holly one of the schedulers was great! James was amazing and so was Dion. They both spent extra time making sure I was functional. I highly recommend these folks! I have a very old system, so the job was not easy... They went above what they had to help me for a reasonable price!

If you have an HVAC issue or need a faucet replaced or something small they are about the same as the standard plumbing company. They have an email and text message system to let you know who will show up and when, but that is where the service ends. If you need something larger or have a bigger project beware! While they have the upfront façade of service, we have found out they don’t stand behind their work.
They only offer a 90 day warranty where the majority of other companies will offer a year. In our case Allstate did the rough in plumbing for a detached garage that we wanted a toilet and sink in it for convenience outside. We then had an issue with our contractor who was slated to build the garage portion, so our project was put on hold.
When we started up again 5 months later and connected the rough in plumbing to water there were leaks. We repaired what we could see, but the system continued to leak. After opening up the slab with two holes to expose the plumbing we called Allstate to ask for assistance and were told it was past their 90 day warranty. They took no responsibility for the work and stated that the concrete contractor was to blame for any cracks in the plumbing or leaks. After pressing Allstate again they did send out their master plumber, Tommy, but he provided no help, no way ahead, no call back and no recommendations to correct any of the problems. We paid Allstate in full for the work they did, but they didn’t follow through on their end by verifying and validating their work. Now must hire another company to replumb our project and correct their work.
Again be wary if you do business with this company. They appear professional up front, but that doesn't last if you have future issues. -
We've used Allstate Plumbing twice now. Both jobs were reasonably small things we probably could have eventually resolved on our own (a chronically leaky showerhead and standing water in our yard near the irrigation control box), but it was so worth it to call a professional. It would have taken us at least 3x as long and 100% more stress on our marriage. Both times, they were very responsive (including on a weekend) in setting an appointment, showed up on time, and were super professional. Chase even had to dig quite the hole in our front yard to fix a cracked fitting and left everything looking tidy in the end. The cost was reasonable for the effort/ repairs required. And they were transparent about pricing and the work that needed to be done. We would definitely call them again and recommend them to others.

Our AC went out at 7pm on Memorial Day. We immediately started calling around and the first person to truly offer us any help was Holly. She was phenomenal. She answered our questions and even called the tech to ask about the issue we were having. Luckily, my husband was able to fix it before needing someone out but we will certainly be using Allstate in the future due to their kindness and prompt response!

Had a pretty bad back up in my guest tub drain. Called Allstate and they sent out a tech the same day. He was very professional and clean. Cleaned my drain in record time. Also had him look at my garbage disposal. He suggested I replace it and gave me a fair price to do so. He was in and out of my house in less than 2 hours and left the areas where he worked spotless. The only sign that he was ever there is my brand new disposal and a drain that actually drains. Will definitely be using them in the future!

Allstate plumbing did a great job when we had a clogged main sewer line. They came out in the middle of the night to unclog the drain. When the clog occurred again the next day, they were prompt to come back out and scope the line to discover it was broken. We were able to schedule with them that week to come patch the sewer line. With each visit, the technicians were on time and were helpful in explaining what was going on. In addition, it was always very easy to get a hold of someone at the office if we had any questions, compared to other plumbing companies we contacted. Bradford and Wolfer were always very friendly. Bradford also went above and beyond with sending us photos and videos of the plumbing job. We would definitely use them again in the future!
