Appliance Repair reviews in San Antonio, Texas

Please do NOT use this company. We had to use this company for Lowe's warranty repair work. It took them over a week to come out and then 5 minutes to diagnose the problem. They said 3-5 business days for the part and it has over that long and the part is STILL not in. Our washer has been in 2 pieces and there is no ETA yet. Not good, avoid at all costs.

If I could give them no stars, I would. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! We have been without a fridge for 2 months. Every time we call to get someone to look at it, it takes forever for them to send someone. Then they have to order a part which takes another week. They have been to our house 5 times with no resolution. The technician that came out each time was always a hour late and could never tell me exactly what was wrong with the fridge or what he did to fix it. When I called them to voice my concern, they did nothing to help. We have been extremely frustrated about this whole situation and this company has only made it worse.

AHS stable of companies they contract with, Absolute disaster. My freezer is still not working properly and it's been down almost 60 days from the initial request for service. Still waiting on AHS to request the call back or figure out what the next step will be in resolving this issue. My warranty expired during this timeframe and Im expecting them to wait me out so they won't need to do anything. They almost had me renew with AHS and I almost did before this fiasco.

I have a Samsung dryer and I couldn’t figure out why it stopped drying clothes. I looked at everything and thought originally that it would be a clogged exhaust port, but I checked that and it was clean. My warranty company apparently goes through A’s. They contacted me immediately and scheduled an appointment for the next day, which I was very happy about. The technician showed up on time, was very professional, and fixed the problem immediately, which just turned out to be a bad moisture sensor, which I guess is common on this dryer. Not only that, but he showed me how to fix it myself in the future which I greatly appreciated.

AHS had assigned A’s appliance to service my oven and microwave. Drake was very knowledgeable and prompt he even explained what happened and fixed it same day! Having him here was just like having family over!
Highly recommend, great company! -
American home shield sent them to repair our fridge. We have had our fridge repaired 8 time for the same issue and have lost over 2000 dollars in food lost. We asked them about replacing our fridge and they don't do that. I was told by Destiny they just repair not tell them to replace. So American home shield will only replace something if the repair company recommends it. So we are at a lost here with a issue that will never get fixed cause or samsung fridge is just a bad design.. last fix was gonna be gasket on our fridge that been replaced before that was gonna magically gonna fix it from freezing over again.
We do not Recommend American Homeshield or any company that works with them they are in it just to cash out and make money on repairs that will sometimes not fix the problem on a reoccurring issue.
The bad part is they will send a diffent company everytime good luck with a company that does business with this company like this, America at its best and insurance. -
If you have a warranty with American Home Sheild I would recommend anyone but them.
They came to my house due to my fridge not cooling and not making ice in both ice makers. They came to our house at least 10 differnet times and never fixed it. This was over the course over 3 months. They replaced every part in my fridge at least twice. Had us defrost it at least 3 times. No surprise never got fixed. The last time the tech came he said "did you get a new fridge". We said "Nope still the same old one". He didn't even take off his backpack off and wrote a ticket and left. Then I was notified by AHS that a part had been ordered. I immediately called them asking what was ordered, they told me a drip pan!!! A DRIP PAN FOR A COOLING PROBLEM!!!!! I finally had, had enough with these people and demanded a second opinion. They sent out Appliance 911 and in a matter of minutes was able to discover the problem. It so bad and obvious, the back of the fridge had been rusting for a long time. He reccomended to have it replaced by AHS. A's appliance will waste your time and will never recommend a replacement to AHS. They will just keep ordering parts and parts until you ask for someone else. Moral of the story THEY SUCK!!!!!!! -
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
First, they use a 3rd party, off-shore customer service company. You will never reach a real person from the company if you have a problem. AND YOU WILL HAVE A PROBLEM if this is a warranty claim
Second, my issue was clear cut. Or so I thought. The hinge to my top load washing machine is broken. After almost 2 years of self-closing lid it now SLAMS. And the young people in the house (even the old person writing this review) have had fingers and hands hurt.
The hinge's plastic parts keep breaking off into the machine. Can't see or know it's happening because the slam of the lid breaks off parts and they fall 'quietly' onto clothes.
This company told AHS that this was a cosmetic repair so now I'm out $75 and then an additional $75 for a second company to diagnose and repair.
Use All in one appliance repair instead! Honestly, I'm done with warranty repair companies. It's such a waste of money and you get the lowest denominator for a service company. They will either upsell you or just not bother to repair. -
A’s Appliance Repair was sent to my home to repair our oven and dishwasher. The technician was polite and found the problem right away. After he fixed it, he gave me some helpful tips on how to properly care for my appliances. I will be recommending this company to all my friends and family.

It sucks that Google wont' let you give NO STARS or NEGATIVE STARS.
A's Appliance Repair is the WORST and SHADIEST repair company ever. We have been working with AHS (our home warrantee company) since March of 2024 to get our refrigerator repaired. These JOKERS have been out to my home SEVEN times and have NEVER fixed or replaced anything. The are professional GASLIGHTERS.....saying they have parts they don't have, they need new parts, or the new parts they have are broken....its a different excuse every time. It is ridiculous. Avoid the most frustrating experience of your life and DO NOT USE these MORONS and LIERS!!!! -
On 07/26/23 Drake came to troubleshoot my dishwasher. Found the issue called in to get my part order. They call me with an appointment for today 07/31/23. Drake came out once again and got my dishwasher fixed. He was very informative and professional.

A's appliance techs did a good job! Wesley and Shawn fixed my oven in a few minutes. If you need a service for your appliance, I definitely recommend A's.

Yesterday they sent a technician out that spoke no English and used google translator to speak to me. Because of the language barrier he put a note that the physical damage was not for wear or tear for interior door. My tempered glass on my three year old stove on the exterior door exploded. I had not used the stove nor had I damaged the tempered glass on my oven. It is the first time my claim was ever denied. I'm upset because of the language barrier and the way he worded the claim and I was told by the Home Warranty company that I could be charged another 100 dollars to send another person out to provide an estimate. I'm out of $100 dollars.

As part of Lowe’s payment protection plan, AVS was sent to repair our washer. Our washer is only 2-3 years old. Filed a claim Sept. 3 and Oct.14 still not repaired. A tech was sent for initial diagnosis-part ordered, 2nd visit part replaced and another part ordered, 3rd visit part replaced and informed a faulty part sent per tech. 4th visit requested another experienced tech, dispatch said I’d be sent an experienced tech. but sent same tech. Informed per tech. washer now works, part replaced. It was the actuator. Tech departed. I checked x2 wash towels, did not go through cycles, stayed at sensing and water sensed to the top. Washer still not working. If not had been on standby, my home would have been flooded. This experience has been emotionally draining advocating each week for a repair. 42 days with no repair, that’s unacceptable. Waiting a week for an authorization and part to waiting a week for an appt. for a tech to come out for only 30 min. Need to bring back Sears. Sears washer lasted 17 years and need only 1 repair, which was fixed same day. If you can, avoid Lowe’s and AVS Repair. I had to go speak to Lowes Mgr. at local store to advocate for myself and express my dissatisfaction with the payment protection process.and the repair. Mgr. was helpful and now intervening. He informed me after 2-3 visits if appliance not repaired, supposed to be issued a new one. Thankfully, received a phone call 48 hours later from Lowe’s Leadership will be refunding our purchase.

AHS sent this company to fix my dryer. The man that showed up did not speak English and used an app to translate. He said that my dryer was fixed and I needed an electrician. Yet failed to put that in his diagnosis for my dryer. When my insurance tries to reach him to understand the issue with my dryer he is unreachable. It has now been a week. Why he didn’t put this in his paperwork is beyond me. According to him the issue is fixed yet my dryer still does not work.

Came out 34 days ago to fix the draining issue with my dishwasher. Ordered a part and came back to fix. The same problem is still happening. The gentleman who did the repair said I had nothing to worry about. Recommend being wary before choosing A’s

SCAMMERS! I’m so furious. I can’t believe after reading all these negative reviews, that American home shield still does business with these clowns. How dare they put that my appliance was caused by physical damage thus denying my claim. It was clearly caused by wear and tear! I think they just didn’t wanna do the job. I have the technician on camera contradicting himself stating that it was normal wear and tear. Then we see the report and it says under contractor notes that it was physical damage. I can’t believe they have the audacity to do this. But then I read the other comments on these reviews, and you can clearly see that it’s in their modus operandi! No shame!! Look them up on Better Business Bureau and you can see yourself!
Took a day off for nothing because they were late too! Paid $100 for nothing! American home shield better get it together and start listening to their customers and stop sending these people out! We work too hard to be treated like this. Now I am waiting for a call from the supervisor and it better get it right this time! I’ll be editing my comment soon. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY and thank god I have all these cameras installed around my home! -
This company was sent by American Home Shield in response to an issue with our freezer drawer not opening and closing properly. The issue with the drawer was addressed or fixed. Instead the technician showed me a picture of a corroded control board on his phone and said it needed to be replaced and said stated that is why the refrigerator wasn't cooling and left. I contacted AHS and they stated the part was not covered due to the corrosion as relayed by the technician. I asked what does a control board have to do with my freezer drawer and they said that my request had been fulfilled. Shortly after that (the same day) I noticed my refrigerator had stopped cooling. I moved the refrigerator and accessed the control boards from the rear access panel. No corrosion. No sign of water damage at all. I called another appliance repair shop to investigate and they discovered the evaporator fan had gone bad. Coincidentally or not, the part that stopped working would had been covered by AHS had the technician not lied in an attempt to scam a more money for a more expensive repair bill. I looked up this company and they have a one star rating with the Better Business Bureau. I cannot state how unethical this company was during this one and only experience.

My family and I are grateful for this company! Our refrigerator stopped cooling. Our home warranty sent A’s Appliance Repair and assured us this was the best company. They were right! Our technician was punctual, knowledgeable, and clearly skilled. After the repair, the office staff followed up to see how everything was working. We are happy to report that our refrigerator is cooling better than ever!

This company is not honest. AHS assigned them to fix our washer and their diagnostic ASSUMED the problem was due to overloading which is a lie and even the teck never mentioned that when he visited. Because of their false and wrong assumption the repair or replacement was not approved. After a second opinion from another company sent by AHS, they clearly established that the problem was not due to overloading. The problem was that A’s simply do not want to tackle the problem. The second opinion resulted in a recommendation to replace the washer and we will get a new one. Do not use this company, they are not honest and they lie when reporting “issues”. I could have give them no stars but it’s not possible here even though they deserve no stars at all. KEEP AWAY from the company at all costs!

A's Appliance was assigned to us by First American and did a great job. Their technician, Drake, did a great job diagnosing and repairing our dryer in a very short amount of time. It's nice to be able to dry our clothes again.
