House Cleaning reviews in Spring, Texas

Was so excited to walk in to my sparkling house. My husband said the team was polite and worked hard to make us happy. Now thinking about a regular bi-weekly service. I’m very picky and I highly recommend Merry Maids.

For me the job was good. My wife is just coming home from the hospital. She is probably more demanding. What we would like to know is if we could expand your services to twice a week, perhaps Tuesday and Friday or Monday and Thursday?

I was surprised after being quoted $180. The bill was over $200. I’ve never had to pay taxes for housekeeping services before.

I love the little extra touches they leave for me. The paper 🌹 roses they leave in the bathroom s.

I have really been impressed with most of my cleanings! I feel like they get better and better every week. The one time I did have an issue they responded quickly and offer to fix it the next day!

The two women who came to my house worked pretty hard. But they did not dust my kitchen appliances. They did not clean around side of my toilets. The coffee table in my library was not dusted. Everything else seem to be done very well.

Used twice; both crews were good. They do what you ask, and do things that they see need attention along the way, and that's what makes them Great! They take the initiative and that's really appreciated.

I have been using Merry Maids since April, and each week they have not cleaned my house properly, Basic house cleaning 101, no dusting, counters not washed. floors not cleaned, toilets missed, beds made with the sheet inside out with all the seams showing, one bed made one not. A few times they have shown up after 4 pm and left after 6, disrupting our dinner. They have no- showed. I call and complain and all they do is say they are sorry, but they still charge my card.!!!! I spend my hard earned money to have my house clean and to be quite honest I should hire teenagers to come in and clean they would do a better job and cost less!

Today they sent 2 maids that I have strictly told them to never send again because the are the worst 2 of the bunch, that is it! I am DONE.I am canceling my service, my patience is done.

Service is amazing. I've never been treated with such patience. What made us make the decision to go with Merry Maids was the incredible service I received over the phone during my first call. Their customer service deserves to be recognized!

I got the deep cleaning service so that I could come home to a spotless house. They charged me over $600 for less than 3 hours for two people. That's $200 an hour! They didn't clean our half bath at all. All doors were gross the same with light switches and baseboards. All they seemed to have done was vacuum and dust the fan. I tried calling the number on the reservation, and emailed them multiple times and could not get ahold of anyone! DO NOT USE these people!

I got a deep clean for my first clean and it was FAR from a deep clean. My ceiling fans in all rooms were dusty. They didn't clean the dust under the bed in the master. They didnt tuck the sheets in when they made the bed with the fresh linens I left out. My appliances in the kitchen were not wiped down. Knobs on my stove were dirty. My living room and great room floor still had debris like it was never swept and mopped. My guest bathroom still had soap my daughter left on the showerhead that morning before school. I had guests coming over for dinner so I didn't have time to have them come back, nor did I want them to return. I signed a contract for 10 cleans and I have received two. Both times I had to vacuum, clean my mirror in the bathroom and bedroom. My toilet was not cleaned in my master. This has been the absolute worst experience I have had with a cleaning company. I am just throwing money away

The basic cleaning items were fine - vacuuming etc. My shower looked like it was sprayed and dripped clean and never scrubbed. The sink backsplashes still had toothpaste on them. My floors through out the house had a film left on them because the dirty water should have been changed half way through the mopping. Coffee beans were still on my counter because they didn’t move the coffee maker when wiping the counter. Dirt and dust bunnies were left in lots of the corners. Definitely not a “deep cleaning”

We had our first clean with Merry Maids today and I am so impressed and thankful for the amazing job they did. Their communication was great. Thank you so much María and Mónica! I feel like I have a piece of my sanity back!

Professional cleaners were on time and did a phenomenal job. They removed soap scum I struggled to get rid of and cleaned surfaces to the point where they looked like we were never here. Not only will I recommend this service to others who are moving out, but I will only be a customer of this business. I'm extremely impressed by the quality.

They cleaned the blinds, baseboards, vaccumed, cleaned the kitchen, crown moulding, window sills, bathrooms, and appliances. I'm stunned. I wish I would have taken a before and after picture. 10/10

We have a security system so I know for a fact that they were only at my house for less than an hour for the first cleaning. That set the precedent, I knew they weren’t going to do a good job. It’s like they skimmed thru as fast as possible to leave. Never had a deep clean the first time like promised. I even slapped a mosquito on my bathroom mirror the day they were coming to clean. It was still there on the mirror when I got home. I called to complain about not cleaning the mirrors and other stuff so they came back the next day to clean what they missed but the mosquito was still there. They were here 5 times but only one cleaning was done well and that was only because the supervisor came. We cancelled the service because I was tired of calling to complain. Then they had the nerve to charge me the initial fee that was waived when I signed the contract.. I never received the type of service that was promised. I will never recommend Merry Maids to anyone!

I've experienced at least three different work crews since I've been with Merry Maids of Spring, TX. They all have done an okay job with cleaning. Each cleaning left something more to be desired, but I also have come to understand that NO ONE can clean better than I or you can.

So with that being said, I've accepted the downfalls. I'm on contract with this company until Dec. '22. I will more than likely look for a different company just to see how they clean in comparison to Merry Maids. If I discover others are better, I'll switch . . . If not, I'll stay with Merry Maids.

I had used this company for a few one-time cleans, and felt they were the best priced service in the area. I signed up for a 10 cleanings package, and ended up cancelling it after the 5th cleaning.

Their manager made a lot of promises he couldn’t keep. Some examples were, after one of our scheduled cleanings, the cleaners missed several kitchen, bathroom and living room counter surfaces, literally cut corners while vacuuming, and just didn’t even touch an entire room. When I complained to the manager, he assured me that I would never have that cleaning crew again, and that he would send a different crew to re-do the clean for free the next day. Well, knock at my door the next day, it’s the same exact cleaners as the day before, annoyed that they had to come back. I showed them the areas they missed, they quickly cleaned just those areas and left.

This week, I received a call the evening before our scheduled clean from the manager. He told me that one cleaner quit and another was fired, and that he was trying to get my cleaning scheduled for the next day. After trying to send just 1 cleaner (when our contract is for 2) He made me lots of promises of when he would contact me with an updated schedule, but would never get back in touch until I called or texted.

If you appreciate thorough cleans and reliable service, avoid this Merry Maids branch.

Staff is great. Cleaning is hit or miss. Quite a few times complete bookcase shelves have not been dusted. Most times the top bookcase shelves are not dusted.I have called and they offer, and have, come back for a reclean. Sometimes they don’t get all the way under the bed.

Bree and Luis at Merry Maids were so friendly and extremely thorough! I can’t wait to have them back!

The ladies are very nice, however I’m very disappointed they didn’t wash dishes, change sheets for the master and the other bedroom. No change of towels. I had to point out the bathrooms were dirty after they said they were clean, Monica took note and cleaned again. I mean, this is a very expensive service for swiping and mopping. I regret signing a contract for 10 of these visits. I also asked them to have the office call me and no one reached out. Smh.
