Harvey West Plumbing did a great deal of work for me. Install garbage disposal with all new under sink plumbing. New water heater with overflow protection. Two new toilet flanges. All new bathroom wall fixtures. New shutoff valve for the outside. They did an awesome job for a good price.

Great technician and great and service but very expensive for me. When I called to set up the appointment I said that I had a newly installed one-year-old outdoor patio faucet that had a broken stem which would not totally turn off. I offered to send a picture of the product in order to let the serviceperson know what part maybe needed. She told me not to worry, if they didn't have the part on the truck the service person could go to pick up the part from Plano plumbing. When the service person arrived and I told him of my conversation with his office he said that their policy was not to repair but to totally replacement the faucet in incidents such as this. In about 45 minutes and $514 later, my leak was fixed. Don't get me wrong, this plumbing service is very good and the plumber was very knowledgeable and courteous but I would suggest that you have a detailed conversation with them about the charges before you make any decisions.

I had a leak under my sink and I called Harvey West Plumbing. They fixed the leak under my sink but charge me $450 for 1 hours worth of work and a length of PVC. I called the general manager and asked if this sounded high. He told me I didn’t understand how to run a business and talked down to me. So, here’s the bottom line for anybody reading this review…the hourly rate at Harvey West Plumbing is $450 an hour. I will never use them again, and I regret calling them.

The job was done and professionally. My water heater was still under warranty ( 6 years on most )and they marked on the outside of the heater the expiration date, yea. It did cost more than I expected but he was here for a good couple of hours. All the worked was done in the HOT ( July 100 degrees )attic, didn't come down and complain. I will call them again if need be.

We contacted Harvey West to check out the home we were buying to make sure everything was in good shape. 2 guys showed up ahead a schedule annd were very professional. We had Leo come back out to run some repairs that were needed and he did it very quickly and it all looks great. Leo is very knowledgeable and a joy to work with. I highly recommend Harvey West Plumbing.

Do not use this company. We bought a fixer upper and got taken advantage of by this company. They charged $5000 for: repair the drain pipe from the toilet upstairs, fix 3 leaks (bathroom shower, both bathroom sinks), install/move the washer dryer to inside from the garage, and add the water heater pan drain pipe that was missing.
    Detailed list of issues:
-water heater drain pipe was put on the outside of the house because "it's more expensive and difficult to go through the walls" (half of which were already open and we have since opened the rest of them anyway) We ended up paying a handyman to replace the pipe Harvey West installed and put it inside the walls so it's not an eyesore. This took the handyman about an hour.
-Not sure if they did this, but they definitely should have mentioned it when they saw it if they weren't the ones who did it because they were working right there. We found a flexible stainless steel hose connecting the copper pipe under our sink where they had repaired a leak. Our friend (a general contractor) let us know that that is improper for anything that is pressurized inside of walls and would cause many issues. So we had to replace that.

-Our washer dryer lines were done using PEX piping. They placed these flexible pipes RIGHT in front of/on the single access hole for the attic, so we have to make sure to move them and step over them when we enter our only attic space that we can use for storage.
-We are now replacing the entire toilet drain line because most of it is cast iron and would just rust through soon enough anyway. A good plumber/handyman will tell you this kind of thing when you have a bunch of walls open.

-$$$ Everyone that we've talked to since we hired this company has scoffed at the price. And I have to agree. The quality of work that was done in comparison with the price that we paid (we didn't know better at the time) is pitiful. There was some spots where we were supposed to call them back to put the finishes in. I do not trust them enough to call them again to simply reattach the sink to the pipes.

-The master plumber kept going to his shop for like 45 minutes at a time (it's only about 8 minutes drive from our house) several times a day while the people he seemed to have hired for the day did most of the work.

-They did not clean up before they left and they left blue pipe glue on the tile and walls in the bathroom.

Summary: Save your money. Call a handyman or literally any other plumber.

*I'll try to add pictures later when I find them so you can see the work I'm talking about.

I called Harvey West Plumbing because I had a clogged drain and water was backing up in bathtubs. They were out very quickly and resolved the issue immediately. Their pricing was good and I was treated with respect. All questions were answered immediately. I highly recommend them.

Our outside faucet broke and was gushing water. We called Harvey West Plumbing and they arrived in less than 10 minutes. The plumber was very professional and personable. They had everything replaced, repaired and completed in a very short time and at a very reasonable price. We will be calling West Plumbing for our future plumbing issues!

I am sorry that others had bad experiences but I have had several jobs done by this company and they have been excellent. Work is done well, options are fully explained and prices are competitive. I have had them replace two outside faucets and repair a leaking main line in the front yard over the past four years.

    UPDATE 5-13-2020
Just had another job done by Harvey West Plumbing. Quick response, cost explained in advance, work done effectively and efficiently. Had leaking pipe connections under a bathroom vanity sink. Larry Fulton replaced a joint and switched out some old PVC pipe for flexible plastic hose to improve the flow. The total cost was quite reasonable.

I have used Harvey West Plumbing quite a few times over the last three years and they have always been very friendly, polite, punctual, on time and a great group to work with! I recently had Leo and Ray from Harvey West come out as I had a water leak in my living room. They checked to see if there was a plumbing leak and told me I don't but they gave me suggestions as to where the water might be coming from. I've always had a great experience using this company and I highly recommend them!

I had a wonderful experience using Harvey West for my new home that came with a number of issues. My list was narrowed down to what was possible to fix vs what was not, and it was all done promptly. I am very satisfied with the work completed and timeline it was completed on! Thank you!

Every repair person who has come to our house has been wonderful. Yesterday, Leo fixed my toilet and was friendly, taught me some new ‘tricks’, and was very thoughtful about keeping the water from flowing onto my floor. I will definitely keep using Harvey West Plumbing! Great company!!!

We woke up to a busted water heater flooding our garage this Sunday morning. We called and had it replaced within 2 hours of our call. Excellent service, would recommend.

Excellent plumbing service! They fixed a tight plumbing break connecting to the water meter and sprinkler pipes ...too many pipes in a small area. Other plumbers failed to fix properly or either quoted me 3 times the cost. West plumbing did the job well and 8 months later, not a single drop off water. Excellent work and highly recommend!

Harvey West was great in the past when we used them for water heater repair. However, we used them in May 2019 to repair a leak under our slab foundation due to a faulty coupling on our sewer line, paying several thousands of dollars, only to have the problem reoccur in the exact same spot in January 2020. They did give us a 70% discount to re-do the work, but it was still well over a thousand dollars and we felt it should be free because the work hadn't been properly completed the first time. They also gave us assurances that it was better secured now (though, notably, no warranty of any kind covering future work).

Fast forward to September 2022, and once again a break was discovered in the sewer line at the exact same spot, that's going to again require tunneling under our foundation, and several thousand dollars more, to fix. Even if they offered a discount again, we would not go with Harvey West, since we have no confidence that the problem will have been addressed even in the short term.

Experience counts and Harvey West has many years of service excellence to his customers. He is not the new kid on the block and his people are well trained and geared to solve any problem. They have helped me several times and I've been very happy with their prompt response and service.

I have used West since we built in 1999 and they have never let us down. We had a water line break in the front to the house. I called and spoke to Jon they sent out a truck same day and 3 hours ahead of schedule. Brandon was fast, friendly, and thorough explaining exactly what was needed. I would recommend them to anyone that wants to pay a fair price for great work.

Diagnosis charge $39.00. Repair $99.00. Technician diagnosed problem after spending more than two hours at my home. He explained that faucet base could not be tightened until three missing screws were replaced. He did not have the necessary screws and did not offer to go to hardware store to purchase the necessary screws. Invoice was supposed to be emailed to me showing charge to my credit card. Did not receive email. When I called the company to ask about invoice and complain because the problem was not fixed, I was told that email address was wrong and kept bouncing back. I was also told that I was being charged $99.00 because technician did come to my house and tried to fix the problem. Problem was not fixed. Technician called me and explained that I would need to secure three new screws before clamp could be tightened at base of faucet. Two days have passed and I have yet to receive my invoice although I continue to receive emails from other sources. In my opinion, Harvey West Plumbing needs to improve their communication skills and be willing to discuss a solution regarding charges for repairs not made. Would never use this company in the future. Cannot in good conscience refer anyone else to them.

I'm very satisfied with Harvey West Plumbing! Even though it was so close to Christmas Day, they accommodated and fixed my leaks in my bathroom and properly replaced the shutoff valve to toilet. The plumber was very courteous, knowledgeable and very friendly! I'm very happy with service he provided!

Harvey Plumbing - One of the best services that I ever received. I have been using Harvey since 2007. Thank you so much, John!!

Ridiculous customer service. Snarky responses when I called in about a plumbing emergency I'm dealing with. "We don't work Sundays. It's a Sunday isn't it?" when they literally have themselves listed as open today until 7pm. Get it together, fix your info and lose the attitude or lose business.
