Plumber John from Emerald Plumbing Company was very Professional, knowledgeable and understanding as to my situation. He took his time and found the problem. Again, his experience was demonstrated when he returned to abate the problem.

I called Emerald Plumbing after dealing with a very disappointing large, well known and advertised plumbing company in the area, whose customer service was dismal and their assessment incorrect.

Christyna responded to my call, within minutes provided me with action items and a follow up plan that we would collectively work on. Today the tech, John, that she promised the day before, not only showed up on time, but was very efficient. He came through cleaned up and showed me what the real problem was, offered solutions, and was able to pinpoint what the real cause for my sewage back up was.

If you want to deal with the company that is honest, not trying to make commission, direct, fair, who services its customers the right way —please choose Emerald over the rest.

Emerald responded very quickly, sending a plumber the morning I called. The plumber was friendly and competent. I was kept informed of what was going on throughout the process. Would use them again.

Emerald Plumbing came to my house because I had a leak in both my toilet and bathroom sink, and they did an absolutely amazing job fixing everything. They quickly found the problem, repaired the leaks, reinstalled all the parts properly, and left everything perfectly clean. They were professional, on time, and very respectful of my home. I had an emergency lead pipe leak in my basement. The water was everywhere. Mr. Tifaqur Oliver came to my home and looked at the problem. He thoroughly explained the scope of the work to be done. He was punctual, professional and kept his word on when the job begin and end. He would call when he is en route or if they is a problem. The crew came before the appointment time and completed the work. They did an excellent job.

Courtney O'Connell, Customer Service was wonderful. She was very patient and helpful in submitting forms. Mr. Oliver, Ms. O'Connell and their crew were awesome. They were there when I desperately needed help. I found a plumbing company that I will be using in the future and recommending to my friends.

Hello. I live in Accokeek, MD and our water heater started leaking very bad and it was past 10 pm. I Google for a plumber and decided to click on Emerald Plumbing Co. When Ms. Devin heard my issue she informed me they did not have anyone onsite to service me for that night. However she said her master plumber Ron may can assist me to turn the water off completely. Mr. Ron stepped my husband and myself through the whole process by using my iPhone of how we can turn off the water from the water tank and to shut down the main water. Then he went as far of how we can remove the water from the water tank. Ms. Devin and Mr. Ron was a blessing and offered great customer service. My family appreciated it and we were able to sleep without having a pool of water in the basement. Please keep up the great customer service because AI can't do what you did.

Lamar and John stopped by the restaurant and fixed our concerns in a proper timing and did a fantastic job. Great customer service and hard workers! Definitely recommend to anyone for their services

I have been working with Somerville for close to twenty years and I can say without hesitation that Andy is the heart and soul of that place. Over the years I have needed help with everything from plumbing specifications to material recommendations to questions about proper code requirements. Andy has been there every single time with the right answer and the right attitude. His knowledge is unbelievable and his willingness to help goes far beyond what anyone would expect. He has saved me time, money and stress more times than I can count.

When you call Somerville and speak with Andy you are not just getting customer service, you are getting decades of expertise from someone who truly cares about doing things the right way. He knows the industry inside and out and always takes the time to explain the right application for whatever situation I am dealing with. I would not recommend speaking to anyone else when it comes to plumbing materials or technical questions because Andy sets the standard.

Somerville is a good company but Andy is what makes it exceptional. Without him it simply would not be the same place. He is the reason I continue to rely on Somerville after all these years and he is the reason I trust the information and guidance I receive there. If you ever have questions about materials, plumbing codes or what you need for a job do yourself a favor and talk to Andy. He is the man and he is the reason Somerville stands out above the rest.

I saw a large puddle of water on my basement floor and noticed that water was bubling up from a basement drain whenever i flushed the toilet or used water upstairs. So, I called several septic service companies, but I couldn't get anybody to come on Saturday to pump out my septic tank. I was desperate. But when I called Emerald Plumbing they came to my house that afternoon and saved the day. Miguel the septic technician arrived in a new truck and pumped my septic tank. I will give Emerald Plumbing five stars. Thanks Miguel. Thanks Emerald Plumbing.

Lamar is a Pro! It was a very quick and easy job for him. Took him about 5 minutes and we was all good to go! Would definitely recommend for future reference!

Professional, communicated efficiently what the issue was, and while there was an issue *faucet manufacturers/homedepot fault* still satisfied with the service.
I did think the price was a bit steep but after watching Anzurez work, and my experience trying to install a faucet myself. It's a reasonable price for all the trouble it see him install/trouble shoot and found the fault in the faucet I purchased.

Vender was able to meet dispatch expectation on late Friday evening to repair plumbing leak. A return trip was needed and accounting was a bit confusing for new customer but they did give reasonable explanation. Plumber was very kind courteous during visit. This vendor had great timing and did follow all the way through with the repair needed in my home. Giving 5 stars for honesty, customer service from Christina meeting timing expectation.

We had a pipe burst inside of our wall. And Ariel Arrived Quickly. he was very personable and professional and explained The issue and what needed to be done to fix it. And he answered all our questions and concerns. He put our minds at ease from a stressful situation. Ariel is a great representation for your company and we will definitely contact him in the future if we need him again.

This was the 3rd plumber to come to the house to solve an issue where the water was backing up in the basement. Overall they solved the problem and showed up. Did the work and so far all is good. If you are looking for just the problem solved and the work to be done. They accomplished this at a 4-5 star level. Where I felt the lacking came was the communication. I had to call multiple times to confirm show times as their system would text saying someone was on their way to find out that wasn’t true. They charged me for one service twice but very quickly voided once I called to point it out. It seems between accounting, dispatch, office staff, and personnel on ground they don’t communicate well between them which left me in the dark without my continuous calls. This is where the 1 star is taken from. Overall they did the job. They were reasonably priced and I’m happy with their work but after spending over $10,000 they just need to improve communication between themselves and with their customers.

ETA: Emerald has argued and twisted the story on every negative review, so I feel the need to add this edit. The only person who was rude and used aggressive language was the Emerald employee. I was polite to him, the whole 2 minutes he was in my unit. I had a witness there, who also was applauded by the employees behavior. Devin, a manager at Emerald called me 3 hours ago, to apologize for the treatment/experience. I am not sure what changed in those 3 hours, but instead of making up lies, focus on making your service better.

I would give zero stars if possible. The technician arrived nearly four hours past the scheduled appointment time, spent less than two minutes looking at the issue, and stated he needed to “make a call” before returning. He never came back. Instead, he left the property and later reported that there was “no damage,” despite performing no tests and conducting no meaningful assessment beyond briefly glancing at the wall.

From the outset, Emerald demonstrated a lack of professionalism and respect for my time. The appointment was significantly delayed, and the technician failed to perform the job he was sent to do. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

(Hot Water Heater issue) week before Christmas Absolutely outstanding service! The technicians Sam & Jared were professional, punctual, and extremely knowledgeable. They quickly diagnosed the issue, explained everything clearly, and fixed the problem efficiently with no mess left behind. Pricing was good and transparent, and the quality of work exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them to anyone needing reliable, high-quality plumbing work. Will definitely call again!

John was so easy to work with, very professional and answered basic plumbing questions during small talk. He came prepared for our shower fixture and valve replacement and assisted with clean up and made the whole process smooth! Thank you, John would recommend again.
