This is the third visit we have had from Emerald Plumbing Co. and all have been good. On Feb. 10th Rod and Ariel arrived to Jet clean a pipe in our kitchen. Both worked very hard to help us get the pipe cleared. Then Rod decided to open the grease inceptor in the kitchen to see if it was operating. That is how we discovered that it is still in operation, related to our dishwasher.Both Rod and Ariel took time to explain to us what was happening and to recommend that they come back and clear out the small grease trap in the kitchen and the large one outside.

Courtney has always answered all of my questions on the phone with patience and clarity. We are looking forward to working with them now and in the future.

Emerald Plumbing was amazing! We had a burst pipe right after a snow storm. No other company would even consider coming out same day. Their customer service was bar none! We got a real live person on the line not a robot when I called. They were clear compassionate and efficient. When the time frame had to be pushed, they immediately communicated clearly. The technician John knew his stuff, assessed the situation, and quickly remediated the situation. When the part we needed they prioritized our call when schedule the return. If you have a plumbing emergency it is worth calling Emerald!

WOW!!! I can’t say enough about the EXCEPTIONAL service I received from Emerald Plumbing company. It started from the moment they answered the phone. Devin, oh gosh, Devin was so pleasant, professional and compassionate!! She even listened to my ranted frustration with my home warranty company. She never rushed me into making an appointment, never gave me a “sales pitch” and was so honest and upfront about the pricing. I called them on a SUNDAY at 8:53am and was given a same day appointment from 10:00am - 12:00pm, again, on a SUNDAY. The plumber, Azure, was absolutely AMAZING!!! He arrived at my front door…..get this….at 11:00AM……again, on a Sunday!!! From the moment I opened the door, he greeted me, gave me his name and was truly ready to get my plumbing issues resolved!!! He did such a thorough analysis and gave me a full understanding of what the issue was and what he needed to do to fix it. I had a main line blockage because somebody put a large amount of wipes in the toilet. He talked to me the entire time, but never lost focus on what he was doing, gave me step by step instructions of what he was doing and even showed me a thing or two about plumbing. Once the blockage was clear, he didn’t do like other plumbers I’ve had and abruptly leave, he spent another 45+ minutes making sure the job was truly completed to include cleaning up. When I say my bathroom looked like there was never any heavy machinery and tools in there…WOW. Every company needs a Devin and Azure, but since they don’t, Emerald Plumbing Co. will be my FOREVER company for any and all plumbing needs!!! Oh, and guess what…..I wasn’t charged a penny over the quoted price for this phenomenal service!!!!

Overall I had a fantastic experience with Emerald Plumbing Co. The two plumber that came out to address the issue were polite and had a big interest in helping us unfreeze the pipes. The office staff was also great and communicated well, especially Devin. Me and the tenants loved Rod's working style. He was genuinely interested in helping us fix this issue. He came out twice. Now I will say that the price was a little higher than I thought it should be around $1,500 for a frozen pipe, but they had great service so I will keep them in mind for future jobs.

In response to their reply below. I cannot believe they DARE TO lie in their reply below! They never sent any soil report proposal. They lied I refused to pay for it!!!!
Again! Be extremely careful to deal with this company!!!!! Do you own due diligence!!! Bunch of liars!! NOT KNOWING WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!!

I contacted this company about installing a new septic system. Initially, they told me I needed a soil report. They charged $150 to come to the property and provide an estimate. After paying the $150, they said a camera inspection was required and charged me another $750. I paid that as well. Then they requested $4,250 for excavation.

When I spoke with them again and clarified that I only needed a new system installed, they said excavation was not necessary and went back to saying I needed a soil report.I agreed. After Waited another week with no update, I called in only to be informed that they were not even licensed to perform the required work — despite the fact that I provided the property address on day one.

It has now been three months, and I have received nothing: no soil report, no inspection video, no documentation — nothing at all. I wasted three months with zero results.

Throughout this entire process, I called weekly for updates. Each time, I was promised a callback for update. Most of of the time there is no update. Instead, they kept making up stories and cheating for more money

Do not waste your time or your money with this company!!!!

This was our first time using the Emerald Plumbing Co. We had our septic tank flushed and 2 risers installed. They did a fantastic job! They were on time and the cleaned up after the job was done. The cost was a little higher than we thought, but it was worth it.

Edit: Thank you for the response. However, you seem to imply that is fine for commercial vehicles to block protected bike lanes for business-related reasons. There is no such proviso in DC law. This particular lane is blocked almost constantly by various delivery trucks and other commercial vehicles when other parking options exist nearby (albeit perhaps not as convenient). This is not what it is there for. Cyclists have been injured and even killed in the course of maneuvering around commercial vehicles blocking bike lanes, which is why it is illegal regardless of whether the driver is on-the-job or not. Unless the situation is an emergency and no other parking options exist, there should be no reason for your drivers to endanger or even inconvenience other road users. Happy to adjust the rating if we are on the same page on this.

It is dangerous and disrespectful for vehicles to block protected bike lanes. These lanes exist to safeguard the safety of DC commuters, not for the convenience of truck drivers.

Antonio is by far the best knowledgeable plumber I've met great customer service was able to answer all questions we had. He left the house with us being satisfied.

I was met with the most respect by the employees here, they talked me through everything and made sure we could my service done in a timely manner, definitly would recommend it.

I called because of broken disposal. Alexandria plumber showed up and fixed it in less than an hour. I will be calling again for other repairs—affordable, knowledgeable, and friendly service.

We were extremely satisfied. We had an emergency leak after hours and within an hour a terrific plumber was out to fix it!

Rude guy answers the phone. Mabye they are great but the guy doing the scheduling is rude. Called just to say hey what's the cost for diagnostic and he said $99. I said well i know what is wrong could you give me rough estimate over the phone? he said what is the other guy charging you? I said I would really like to not tell you that and just hear what you would charge...He said sorry don't have time for that mam... I said fine.. I mean I was very polite, not pushy..he was rude. Period. Simple as that moving down the list!

Brian was professional, prompt, and really helped to get this project sorted in a timely manner. I would recommend him and his team to any commercial company in need of a reliable plumber.

Mike came out within an hour of calling about our main drain issue. He was super helpful, professional, and even cleaned up any mess that was made from the job. I was super impressed!

Alexandria Plumbing Pro Services came and assessed the problem and explained why I should replace the water heater. Early the next morning, they called and scheduled the same day installation.

This company is a total scam! They charged $500 to snake a tub drain for 10 mins, then told me it wasn’t fixed and we’d need further work done. I was totally scammed.

The price was way higher than it should be for snaking. I was told before I agreed to the service that they would clear the drain before they left, but it was not cleared.

The positive reviews are clearly fake - look at the reviewers. Save your money- do not call them!!
