Shannon is cut from a different cloth. A man of integrity, great humor, and expansive knowledge. I called on a Saturday afternoon to schedule an appointment for my garbage disposal. To my surprise, Shannon picked up. His humor quickly put me at ease. After talking about the issue, Shannon did something that I've never experienced with any contractor. He suggested what the problem may be. And he was right! I was able to fix the issue with his guidance. That could've been easy money for him. But he didn't take advantage of the situation. He just wanted to help. He reinforced the notion that there are some good people still out there. Would definately be using Shannon again. Thank you Shannon!

Shannon is responsive, helpful and honest. More than once, he has picked up his phone after 5pm or on the weekends; his willingness to go out of his way to help his customers is admirable.

Over a holiday weekend he responded to my call when we found our hot water heater leaking. He immediately scheduled a time to come and replace it, and then told me if things worsened in the next day or so, he would be there earlier!

Shannon was great. I had a hunch something was wrong with my sump pump since I hadn’t heard it operate in a while. I called O’Neill Plumbing and Shannon answered. He spent approximately 30 minutes talking to me about what to troubleshoot. Based on our discussion, I was able to determine that I did need to replace my sump pump and texted Shannon pictures of the condition. Shannon came out later that day to replace it. Shannon is super friendly, knowledgeable, professional and honest. I would definitely use O’Neill Plumbing again.

I contacted Shannon pretty early on a Monday morning regarding issues with our hot water heater. He immediately responded and walked me through a few diagnostic tests then quickly set a time to come and help us out. Colton arrived promptly and was very knowledgeable, taking the time to walk me through everything he was doing and showed me some preventative maintenance to avoid future problems. Shannon and his crew have helped us out before so we felt comfortable reaching out and like the first experience we were not disappointed. I recommend this company for their expediency, professionalism, and friendly demeanor.

We had a plumbing emergency late Friday night, Shannon came to our house Saturday afternoon (he was early) and he was great!

He was friendly, personable, funny, he got the job done, thoroughly explained every step of what we was doing. He cleaned up after himself and set us up for success by thoroughly testing the job and informing of the warranty.

The O’Neil plumbing team replaced our recirculation pump for $924. because it was making a grinding noise. Ten months later and well within the one year warranty the grinding noise started again. I contacted O’Neil plumbing and got the runaround for 10 days and Shannon ultimately told me that he wouldn’t replace the pump because in his opinion it is working.

I then contacted Emerald plumbing who diagnosed the issue on that very day, and replaced the Taco pump with a different model.

If you want to work with a company who honors their warranty I would steer clear of Oneil plumbing.

Shannon O'Neill called me after I sent in my request and let me know that he thought, based on our conversation, the issue was something different. He quoted me a fair price and came out the very next day to do the work. Right away he put on shoe covers and laid out tarps to protect surfaces. There was a minor problem during installation when he realized a part was faulty. He came back the next day and finished the job. He stuck to his quote despite the extra work, and was very friendly and professional. I appreciated that he invited me to watch and learn what he was doing.

I have utilized O'Neill Plumbing Services at least three or four times over the last dozen or so years. Of course, a plumbing emergency always seems to pop up over the weekend or after hours, but Shannon has been super responsive, often coming out within a few hours of a call. He is honest, thorough, and stands by his work. I appreciate the time that he takes to explain the process and his prices are fair. I highly recommend the next time that you are in need of a trusted professional plumber!

We had a great experience with Shannon and O'Neill Plumbing. My husband and I purchased our home in April, and found in late July a leak in our guest shower that caused damage on all three levels of the townhome. Shannon was quick to respond to my call, and came out the next day to identify the issue. He provided great recommendations for water mitigation services and mold damage repair, and helped to put us at ease in a stressful time with his humor and good nature. Once drywall was removed by mitigation team, Shannon came back to make the pipe repairs. He explained everything he was doing to fix the situation, offered advice for home maintenance, and kept transparent about pricing. Shannon's pricing was very fair and he worked quickly to get our guest shower back up and running. I am grateful for his great attitude and assistance in a stressful time, and will use O'Neill Plumbing again if we need more plumbing repairs!

I recently had a problem with a whistling toilet. When I contacted O'Neill, Shannon immediately knew the issue and asked if I'd like help fixing it myself as it was a simple (for him) job. He then stayed on the phone with me while we worked through the repair, which was really easy. He was knowledgable, personable and most importantly, I could tell he really cared more about me as a new homeowner then about a quick payment. This is the third time I've worked with O'Neill Plumbing and I'm more impressed every time. They are the best!

Great service - called late at night for a plumbing issue and I was able to receive services within an hour. Walks you through the process, and makes sure you understand what is going to be done. They will not leave until the job is complete.

If you are looking for an experienced plumber with an ability to troubleshoot difficult issues, Shannon and ONeil is your solution. I had a relatively complex 3 sink drain configuration that required a complete redo. Shannon worked on it for 3 plus hours, greatly simplifying and improving the system. Excellent work and enjoyable to talk with. Highly recommend.

O’Neill Plumbing Service was wonderful to work with! Shannon was incredibly helpful and thorough. He put us at ease right away and had such a friendly and professional demeanor. My five-year-old son was thrilled to see him with his tools and has now informed me that he wants to be a plumber when he grows up too.

Shortly after, Shannon called me on the way to my house and spent about 20 minutes on the phone with me trying to understand the issue and what I was hoping to have assessed. He was very thorough, kind and conversational.

Shannon arrived and immediately offered to take off his shoes and laid down tarps everywhere he was working in the house, including down the stairs. Greatly appreciated - it was raining and we have young kids.

Shannon spent 4-5 hours at our house, on a Sunday, in the rain, fixing our issue. He made sure we both understood the problem, causes and solutions to our issues. This was a large, unexpected expense, so we were very appreciative of the thought and explanation that went into his services. He took pictures throughout the job and shared a detailed report with me when he was done. I don’t know much about sump pumps, but he made sure I understood what he did and how to work/monitor/manage the system (luckily there's not much to do!)

Shannon called me the next day to follow up and check in, which was really nice. Especially given I’m still chasing the first company for a return phone call a week after they charged me for an issue that had to be properly fixed by O’Neill.

Our old electric hot water heater died the same day we brought our new baby home from the hospital. It was a big day! We called O’Neill and they came and got us up and running the very same day. They were professional and did very high quality work. Many years later when I had a maintenance question they talked me through it right over the phone rather than making me pay for an unnecessary service call. I’d recommend them without hesitation and they are at the top of my list when I have a plumbing need.

On a recent move to the area we were in desperate need of plumbing help when we discovered both of our bathrooms had very slow flushes because a valve needed to be replaced in each toilet. To help us avoid an expensive emergency call (on a Saturday), Shannon very kindly gave us support on the phone- across multiple phone calls and exchanges of pictures. He even sent us an instructive picture to give us a better understanding of how to make the repair. As we lacked the proper tools, he continued to help us over multiple calls ( we had to go to the store to get the right tools.) Shannon was patient & funny throughout this whole process. We appreciate his kindness and support!

Shannon (owner) was amazing! Late in the evening on a Sunday, with a snowstorm looming, Shannon offered to try to diagnose my plumbing problem via photos sent by text. He immediately understood the problem and called back with a quick fix that I was able to complete myself. Shannon could have insisted on an appointment and charged me the emergency call fee, but not only was he willing to help, but he saved me money AND the inconvenience of 2-3 days without the use of my kitchen sink (which would have been a crippling inconvenience).

HONEST, HELPFUL, and KIND. How rare is that in a service provider. I 100% will call O’Neil Plumbing in the future. Thank you again, Shannon!

As always, Shannon made a stressful home-repair easy and stress-free. My partner and I had a toilet that was continuously filling with water, and Shannon not only helped diagnose the issue and support us in repairing it, but he was friendly, communicative, and clearly knows his stuff. O'Neill is the only plumber I use, and I recommend Shannon to everyone that asks. He's done all my work since moving to Northern Virginia and it's always been spot on. He's willing to explain what he is doing, why, AND, teach you how to work, adjust, or prevent future issues.

Extremely impressed by Shannon at O'Neil Plumbing. We were in the middle of a kitchen renovation when we realized one evening we didn't have hot water. We called and Shannon walked us through finding the hot water shut off valve we didn't even know existed and turning it back on. We then noticed our current water heater was leaking internally and immediately Shannon loaded up his truck with a new one and was at our home within an hour. He worked with our home warranty company and was very knowledgeable and professional. The whole team from the call, scheduling, and installation was amazing. Would recommend his services.

I called Mr. O'Neil this morning Dec 28th with a request for a fix on leaking toilet. He was ABSOLUTELY THE BEST CALL I've made this year! Not only did he help guide me in the right direction to fix the problem....he was gracious and thoughtful enough to take call after call walking me thru every step of the way. Wow...just WOW!!!! The luckiest Ive ever made was to the this plumbing service...when others would have charged me an arm and a leg for a dignosis...Mr. O'Neil didn't....for that he will have my business from now on!!!
