HVAC reviews in Chesapeake, Virginia

I am a long time satisfied Miller’s customer but I got exceptional service this week!
My home is at the North End of Virginia Beach.
I needed a new inducer motor. At first, Dean the technician told me it would take at least a week to get the part but the Miller’s team went to work, got one from Newport News. Dean came back that day! Did the install and full service! -
Great assistance , William knew what he was doing and provided great insight. I’m glad we had him come out and assist us with our HVAC system, will definitely continue to use Millers due to his influence.

Excellent customer service. Jason came recently with a great attitude and HVAC expertise. He was super professional and courteous. I call and they come immediately, troubleshoot for quality control and fix the issue for free with my purchase contract. Last Summer, I bought a York system with dual fans, stand alone unit and it has saved me hundreds of dollars so far. My winter bill was shockingly low just as they promised. I love them and as long as I’m in 757 they will always have me as a customer.

The install crews customer service was outstanding. They were happy to answer all my last minute questions and went strait to work. My family's home never felt so comfortable. Thanks Miller's!

Savy was professional, polite, knowledgeable, and relatable. If we continue to do business with you all, I will request that he be the one to service our contract. He seemed honest and trustworthy, and not focused on just upselling us by laying out all of the options. He gave repair options along with his recommendation for system replacement which demonstrated an understanding of the economic stressors we all face these days. It is folks like home that create a good brand image for your company and inspire loyalty from your customers.

This is the THIRD issue we have had since the installation (August 2025–December 2025)
1. August: Condensation drain lines were disconnected (presumably to remove the old system) and not re-connected during replacement. My husband fixed this himself (to my annoyance) when he discovered water pooling on our laundry room floor. I felt we should have called the company back out.
2. October: No heat available. Apparently there was a “wiring issue” and AC was provided when heat was called for. This happened when our baby was 5 DAYS OLD (around 10/20) and had just come home from the hospital, at the first cold weather in October. I felt the room getting colder rather than warmer and chilled air coming through the vents, despite being on heat setting. No error messages provided through thermostat, but the temperature readout confirmed the room was getting cooler while running.
3. December: No heat available, aux heat not available. I was up with the baby for a middle-of-the-night feed with our now 7 WEEK OLD baby, and upon returning upstairs realized how cold our room felt. I checked the thermostat and found the room at 57 degrees along with two error messages on the thermostat.
I called the service line and was assigned an appointment for Wednesday afternoon by the AI receptionist (it’s Tuesday 4am). This is too late, and not appropriate for an infant sleeping in these rooms. With the cold temperatures I do not expect the house to warm up significantly during daytime. We also have my mother-in-law and her sister visiting!
We spent $18,000 on a brand new system in August, which has obviously not performed the way it should. It concerns me that the first two errors were incorrect installation--missed at installation and final check over (if performed at all).
I would not expect to have this third issue on a brand new system, *especially* after having things looked over more thoroughly in late October.
While weighing our options to repair or replace in August, we made the decision to replace our aging HVAC system SPECIFICALLY because we had a baby on the way. Unfortunately, our $18,000 investment hasn’t saved us the worry that our system won’t completely fail us when we need it the most.
I am at the point where I have lost confidence in the service and product Miller’s provided, and even prompt service and correction at this point (understandably so) won’t redeem the way I feel about our overall experience.

I just got an AC and furnace install. There wasn’t really any personal service. The only person I consistently spoke with was a scheduler but they weren’t up to speed on the technical aspects of the install.
I was the quality assurance for the project (some things were mis-wired, the system shut down after a couple weeks due to drainage, had to ask if the roof work was completed, they missed a service window by half a day). I asked for a call from the installation manager and another manager but received none snd they won’t give out their phone numbers. I think we had a total of seven visits over six weeks (install, trim work, duct work, re-work) requiring us to take time off from work (one of which they were 6 hours late for).
Most of the technicians who came to our house were terrific. Many explained what they were doing or had done. In some cases I wasn’t sure the status of the work they came to do. I felt like I was doing some of the project management and quality assurance.
I can’t speak to the quality of work since we just had our last visit and the hot season has passed. I’ll update after awhile. -
Prior to having our new HVAC unit installed on 10/23/25 we thought Millers was going to be a great choice. Our new unit did not work from day 1. The night it was installed alarms started going off at 3am indicating there was an issue. We contacted Millers and twice they came out it was determined that we needed a new part which was going to take over two weeks to get to them. It’s now been over a month since they installed a very expensive and ultimately broken system. The part they needed should have been in to them on 11/28. We had to reach out to them on 12/1 to get the status which due to phone tag we still do not know when they plan to fix our system. There have been several very cold nights, getting down into the 50s inside our house. We have two small children and Millers has done absolutely nothing to make this right. We are extremely frustrated, disappointed, and cold. I could not recommend Millers less.

Man where can I start! From the initial meeting from the field tech that came out Eric, they made this whole process very easy and stress free. I got an entirely new HVAC system put in my house and water heater as well, and the pricing compared to other companies, it simply can’t be beat! The two techs Mike and Caleb that worked on my house were phenomenal and talked me through everything they were doing and answered any questions I had as well. They were very friendly and amazing at their jobs, and always gave enough time notice of when they were coming in the morning to work. This company is amazing, and I’m very glad I heard the commercials on the radio that helped draw my attention to them. 100% would recommend for anyone!

Milliers Heating and Cooling was extremely professional from start to finish. The technician was very helpful and knowledgeable, took the time to explain everything clearly, and explain the different products they had to offer. Technician made necessary adjustments during cleaning and tested the results. They also provided HVAC service evaluation form with pictures of the test results and unit components. Their pricing was fair and transparent.

Will W. was awesome. My heat had been stuck in auxiliary and then just stopped blowing warm air. He was able to find the issue quickly and fix it fast. He also set us up for an electrician for another issue I just happened to mention while he was here.

What a phenomenal service experience! Will showed up on time, was courteous and professional, and demonstrated exceptional HVAC knowledge. Will's inspection was extremely thorough, and he took the time to answer all my questions. Make Will the front man for customer-facing service and watch your business grow and grow! Matter of fact, when Miller's returns the only person I want touching my HVAC is Will. He's that good! Very rarely do I sing such high praise, but this man is passionate about his work - and it shows. He has my highest, personal recommendation, and I will make sure all my friends and family have him on speed dial! Give Will a promotion - TODAY!

They came on time, I was very please with the work they done. They replace my HVAC system. The price was great. I would highly chose them again, very friendly people.

Hired Miller’s to remove our old oil furnace, install a hot water heater, and replace the hvac system including ductwork. The techs removed the oil’s furnace and installed the hot water heater on Wednesday. In the process our garage had gotten flooded. My husband managed to remove most of the water but some items and furniture got wet. We still don’t have hot water also, it’s been almost 48 hrs since the install. Currently waiting for a call back from the office about getting a service technician. At the beginning of this process, I had high hopes within 12 hours of discovering that our furnace had to be replaced, we had a signed agreement for a completely new system. Now 9 days later, I still don’t have hot water and heat.
Update:
Millers sent out a tech the same day I called, the tech, TJ replaced the thermostat and heating elements that were damaged in the hot water heater when it was installed.
This week, Miller’s sent two installers, Everett and Philip, for the hvac/ duct replacement. They are such a great team and made sure the install was a flawless experience. Philip even made a point to introduce himself to our dog, it helped calm our dog for remaining install days. Everett turned installing duct work into an art form. Beautiful work! -
Will was fantastic to work with. He originally came out to inspect our ductwork for possible rodent damage, and he went above and beyond from the start. He ended up locating and removing a dead animal—even though it wasn’t technically part of his job description—and did it quickly and professionally. He then took the time to clearly explain all of our repair options, helping us choose a solution that made sense financially while still fully addressing the problem. We never felt pressured, just genuinely helped. Highly recommend Will for his professionalism, knowledge, and willingness to go the extra mile.

The Millers Home Comfort team did a superb job installing our new heater system. Not all the parts were available so while we waited for the part, our technician, Mike, installed an interim solution so we could get heat during colder temperatures in the winter. The modern, programmable thermostat is easy to use and we were given instruction on how to use basic features. Mike did an awesome job. We are grateful to have heat again and will certainly use Millers for our future HVAC needs!

Great maintenance service experience today! Quality work, thorough, detailed, knowledgeable about what he was doing and recommending. Michael G. was very courteous, respectful and service oriented. Always a great experience with Millers Home Comfort!

Water heater installation. Great experience! From the time I made initial contact until job completion, Millers was respectful, smooth, and informative. My install techs, Arthur and Ryan, were wonderful. They were knowledgeable, professional, and kept me in the loop on progress. Their patience and kindness ment so much during the stress of losing my water heater and the water damage it subsequently caused. They left my house cleaner than they found it… literally! They swept my garage and picked up every spec of ‘evidence’ they were ever there. I know exactly who to call the next time I need work done. Thank you!

We recently switched to Miller's for our annual HVAC inspections/maintenance. We had our first appointment today and our technician, Dean, knocked it out of the park. Within the first five minutes, Dean pointed out several things that our previous company *never* mentioned. He made recommendations, explained his reasons and was super approachable. I was hesitant to change companies- our previous one didn't do anything "wrong" but in hindsight, we never saw this level of thoroughness/insight. Glad we may the switch and super grateful Dean was our first experience to Miller's.

I chose millers to replace my 5 ton Geothermal unit in my house. I placed this order on 1/20/2026 and as of today (3/2)my unit is not up and running. It’s been a cold 45 days in my house and the team has shorted out 3 transfer panels attempting and install and just realized the panel and unit don’t properly communicate. The communication has been poor from the office about replacement parts and when our next appointment will be. My wife and I are beyond frustrated. I have called in 3x over the past week requesting to speak with a supervisor and nobody has called me back. For a job that costs the price of a car, I would expect overall better service and my HVAC to actually work. I am so frustrated that I am entertaining having another vendor finish the install even if it voids the warranty in some way.

They are excellent!!! From calling them with questions and concerns i had with my unit, then scheduling service for guy to check it. He saw the notes she left too. He did amazing with checking the unit, answering my questions. It was great! Now I have peace of mind knowing my system is good. I highly recommend Miller's
