In February 2020, Consumers Choice replaced 2 heat pumps in our house. In March 2023 we had them come out to look at the units because our electric bill had more than doubled. After charging $429 for the test, they told us the outdoor coil on the downstairs unit had gone bad and needed to be replaced. The outdoor coil was replaced for $1345. The part was covered under warranty, but the labor was not. After the repair, we signed up for the Consumer regular check up program. In October 2023 they came by for the semi-annual check up. They told us that the wire that ran to the upstairs unit needed to be replaced, and it would cost $1325. We never had problems with the upstairs unit, so we put off the work. In December of 2023 our electric bills increased again (about 2 mos after the check up!). This time Consumers Choice told us that the indoor coil of the same unit that had the outdoor coil replaced needed to be replaced. Again, the part was covered under warranty, but labor would cost $1095. At this point, the unit had cost us almost $3000 in repairs in less just over 3 years.
It's January 2025, our electric bills are sky high again. We checked the same unit and the indoor (air handler) is working, and the outdoor unit isn't moving, just hums. A similar situation to the last two incidents.
Continued problems could be attributed to the equipment itself, but it seems like poor equipment should have been identified by the technicians. It's hard to endorse a company that you trusted to install equipment only to keep charging you to repair. The unit needs to be fixed, but it's probably best we move on from Consumers Choice and find a company that can be trusted.

The first time I met Joe he saved me close to $2000 in unnecessary repair. Over the course of the last 7 yrs, his company has not let me down.

They were prompt, told me what needed to be changed or updated, no hard selling just to the point. A new condenser and suggestion of a UV light to keep the Mold & allergies down.

I’ve used oasis for a few events this past year and both have been great experiences and they definitely have eased my worries as they quickly identify what’s going on and fix the problem.

Very professional and helpful. They answer any questions you ask. They also put down plastic to make sure nothing gets on your floors or carpet. Hardworking and will do the job right the first time.

Lowest price of several options and successful and efficient installation. I would use Oasis again if I needed to replace an HVAC home system.

Great company we’ve used for years. Danielle and Harlan fixed a problem and left the unit in better shape than they found it.

Very much appreciated the friendly customer service and the prompt response to my middle-of-summer-no-A/C issue! What I liked most was that the technician who visited took the time to show me the problem and walk me through what was causing the issue. He also patiently answered my questions about the inner workings of my air conditioner. I learned a lot, and got my A/C problem fixed fast! Great company and 10/10 I will call them again.

We have been using Oasis for basically as long as we've been in our current home (20+ years). Obviously they're doing something right. Joe & staff have always been friendly, professional and efficient;-) Highly recommend!

I wrote a rather lengthy review on the Better Business Bureau and will be lodging a formal complaint, but the bottom line is that an OASIS technician performed a repair on our HVAC humidifier that had become loose and was hanging precariously from its mount. I had secured water and power to the unit until the OASIS technician could make the repairs.
He showed up and wanted to remove the humidifier and place a cover over the hole. We told him we wanted the humidifier mounted back on the duct correctly so that we could use it, that is the reason why he have a humidifier. He mounted the humidifier, but not plug the unit back in or turn the water back on to the humidifier. Three days later the humidifier fell off of the HVAC duct onto the floor in the basement and broke into several pieces leaving the humidifier irreparable and a hole in the ducting. I placed a temporary plate over the hole in the ducting, since it happened over the weekend and called OASIS the following week to repair the humidifier. OASIS wanted to charge us for the visit and to fix the humidifier that broke as a result of their repair. My wife was dealt with rudely by the office girl and I ended up calling the office and got the same rude treatment. OASIS refused to come out and repair the work, and the office girl said she would call the owner and get back to us which she never did. We had to hire a handyman to place a more permanent plate over the hole in the duct where the humidifier used to be. The humidifier is still sitting in our basement in pieces. As a member of our civic association board, I get asked all the time to make recommendations for a reputable HVAC company, this certainly will not be on our recommendation list.

Oasis came out to diagnose and repair a display cooler in our shop. The technician replaced the thermostat and charged us over $800. A couple months later, I am still having problems and they want to charge $188 just to show up. No thanks.

I had a low airflow issue in one of my bedrooms. I paid $120 for someone to come and tell me nothing was wrong. It turned out that I had a damper in the duct that the prior owners installed. It took 5 mins to remove and he was too lazy or inept to find and remove it. I called and asked them to at least acknowledge that it wasn’t up to their standard and the rep wouldn’t.

We have used Oasis for over 35 years. We started with them when they were servicing ECHO FOR FREE. They are GREAT. I would certainly recommend them.

We called Oasis to have a technician come out and check out our unit because we had been using it for a prolonged period of time. The technician told us we need to replace a "contactor". We did that and approximately 3 days later the entire unit stopped blowing cool air in spite of the fact that the fan was running. The unit the technician worked on (The Compressor) was not. When the next technician came out, apparently the owner of the company, he said that the compressor was shorted out and we would need an entire new unit. He was rudely emphatic that it could have in no way been related to the electrical work his own tech did just a few days earlier when the unit was running fine and producing plenty of cool air for the entire house. He insulted the equipment, mocked the person who originally put it in and said rudely, "What do you want to do?" I inquired again about responsibility for his technician and he said absolutely not. I told him that I would have to look into the legal aspect of our situation to which he replied, "My lawyers' got a lot more money than yours!" I questioned that sarcastically and in no uncertain terms told him to get off my property. I told him I intended to write reviews of his service and lack of manners and he said, "Go ahead and try Pal!" So here it is. Don't use these guys EVER! Shoddy work, incompetent employees and moreover and worse than anything, the rudest contractor I have ever encountered in my life and I grew up working in the trades and have encountered some fairly unsavory contractors. At least those other guys knew when to cut bait and accept the fact they or their employees made a mistake. Not this guy. It was utterly shameful.

We have a service contract with Oasis and they are good about reminding me.(which I need)They have always been very helpful and timely when I've needed service.
I trust family owned businesses because their livelihood depends on their work, so its always good.

We called Oasis to come and take a look at our AC unit to see if it had a leak. I had to call multiple times to see if a time and date had been picked so that I could take off of work. I finally got a confirmation the day before at 3:30 in the afternoon that someone would come between 9:00-11:00. This time went by and at 11:35 I called to see where the repairman were since I still needed to go into work at some point. I was told oh they're running behind but they're on their way. (Their office never called to let me know that they were running behind a basic common courtesy). I waited again until 12:15 and I called again and said they were over an hour late from the agreed upon window. The woman in the office was like darn.. at this point I told them to forget about it, that the poor customer service and basic lack of respect that we would go with someone else. When people take time off of work to get something taken care of being respectful and considerate should be the base level of customer service you should expect. We’ll never use this company again.

Fantastic! Our AC suddenly stopped working during the first (early) heat wave and Oasis jumped right on it. The system was repaired quickly and very professionally. Best of all, no dire warnings or pressure to buy or do this or the system will fail kind of thing. We had that with another HVAC company and dropped 'em. We're sticking with Oasis!

When the owner of the company shows up to your house during COVID-19 Phase 1 without either a face mask or shoe covers, hard to want to continue doing business. I was a service customer of Oasis until this encounter, which also include asking me what I wanted vs. being prepared to offer suggestions. They lost their best tech when Brandon left, and they lost this customer when the owner, Joe, showed up to my house without PPE and a customer-first attitude.
