I called Richmond Air for a heating tune-up since it’s getting chilly, and their service was excellent. The technician was friendly, efficient, and made sure our system is ready for the cooler Richmond evenings.

I’ve been with Americool for 2 years now. They installed a mini-split in my sunroom (which is now an all seasons room). I was impressed with their product and service, so I switched from another company for maintaining my hvac equipment. As a retired maintenance professional from DuPont, I appreciate their knowledge, professionalism and customer focused technicians and staff. I do recommend this team to help you with your home’s heating and air conditioning needs.

Amazing service, amazing people! They came out the next day to diagnose our problem, and had a quick turnaround to order/install our new AC system (during a heatwave!!). Everyone on the team was very knowledgeable and professional, and we couldn’t be more satisfied with the work. We will be return customers the next time we face any HVAC issues!

Our system is complex but Chip's folks are always working to ensure its operation is effective.
Last winter, we had a problem with our coil. We could have replaced it. It would have solved the issue but Chip, educated about the option to replace both the coil AND our compressor together now, even though the compressor was fine. The coolant recommended in the industry was changing and compatibility later would be an issue. Even though the price was 11K vs $3500, we opted for the "big" job now. It was the right decision.
I mention this because it would have been easy for Americool to simply replace the coil, but Chip's honesty enabled us to evaluate choices and land on the one best suited for us.
That's both good business AND good people!!

I am extremely happy with the staff and service that I received from Americool. The representative came to my home within 24 hours of me calling for a quote. We worked through 3 possible options for my issue with needing to install a 2nd unit upstairs to take the work off just having a one heat pump home. He listened to what I thought I needed, how to use my existing duct system, snd save costs where we could. Because of his help and knowledge, I’ve already noticed a huge decrease in my light bill. Mr. Wells educated me so I could make the best possible choice and the option for which I would be happy. Americool looked out for me and understood my needs better than any of the other companies from which I had gotten quotes. The service men and staff that came to do the install were efficient, polite, and thoughtful, taking care not to let pets out or a grandchild. The unit area when they were finished was completely clean leaving me nothing to go back and clean up. I really appreciated that. I recommend them if you are in need of service or a new unit. If asked to rate on a 1 to 10 scale….. my whole experience was 10+.

Chip and the guys from Americool were wonderful! I would highly recommend them to anyone. They repaired my second floor AC where another company messed it up and they even gave me loaner AC units to use while they were waiting for the parts to come in for the repairs . I also had them install a new mini split system and the crew was very helpful, polite and clean, I can’t thank them enough!

Prompt attention to my problem. Came out same day . Evaluated the issue and repaired on the spot . On time for appt and called when on the way .Was really nice to have instant relief from the 90 plus days . Ive known the owner for over 30 years . He or his techs have always taken care of my needs in the same manner mentioned above.

Service was amazing and they were able to get my repair scheduled immediately. Gary was timely and was able to identify the problem within 5 minutes of looking at the unit. I would highly recommend Gary for your service needs as long as he is able to always be able to take care of mine! Gary also recommend a service contract and the cost is very reasonable.

Americool was assigned to repair my ac/heater by our home warranty company. The first company cancelled. Americool had the same concerns but checked out the unit. They listened to our concerns and desires and was able to provive us with options. They were personable, professional, maintained excellent communication. We decided we wanted a new unit. Americool did the research, educated us on the best fits for our home. Totally enjoying our new unit and noticed the difference. You are in good hands with Americool.

I have been using Americool for years to meet my HVAC needs, both maintenance and unit replacements. They have always been reliable and stood behind their work.

I’ve known Chip and a had a service contract with Americool for years. They are professional, thorough, personable, and trustworthy. My recent experience was my upper AC stopped working. I called left a message and with a half hour someone came to my home and fixed the problem. It’s nice to have a relationship with a company and people you trust.

I had my HVAC system replaced a few years ago by Americool Heating and Cooling. Since then I have received service checkups every six months. The service is thorough. The technicians are courteous and helpful. I can be confident that my system will perform well through our the seasons.

AC wasn't cooling like should so I called Americool. Jason was sent to my house and said, my 2 coils needed to be cleaned and that the cost would be $800. I payed for the visit and got a second opinion which all that needed to be done was to changed my filters. My air is blowing properly now thanks to getting a second opinion and not giving Americool my hard earned money for nothing!! I can stay that they come quickly when call and thanks Americool for giving me a refund!

I was extremely impressed with my interactions with Americool from start to finish. They returned my initial call within the promised timeframe. They were prompt and efficient with all aspects of the job from scheduling to repair and they were upfront and informative about timing and trip charges. The technician was pleasant, knowledgeable, and highly competent.

We had a great experience with Americool heating & cooling. Last year when my old system died they were very quick to respond even though I was not a current customer. They came quickly and completely replaced my whole unit. They were very knowledgeable and professional. This year they came for my one-year service, which they reminded me I needed. They were very prompt and courteous. I will definitely be signing up for their maintenance plan.

I've been pleased with Americool service over the years. Last year I had them replace my heat pump. They are pleasant and easy to deal with. Recently I had them evaluate a HVAC system in a house I intended to purchase. Their technicians found some serious errors in the installation. The evaluation fee was reasonable. That service paid for itself many times over. Highly recommended.

My A/C went out right before the 4th of July! Needless to say, it was HOT. I researched emergency repair and came across the is company. I put in a request and the technician was at my house 1 hour later! Diagnosed my problem and had it fixed within the hour. I recommend them for any canoe heating issues.

Our AC went down in the middle of the heat wave. I called couple of companies. It’s difficult get an appointment. My work colleague recommended Americool. I called and the tech came on the same day and made the precise diagnosis. The company ordered the parts the same day. We then scheduled a repair appointment on the day I can be home. Mine was the last appointment of that day, the tech still came to my house in the evening after the first few jobs. He started the work but needed additional tool. So he came back the next morning and completed the job. He double check to make sure the system has no issues. The tech is very skilled, very sharp, knows exactly what he is doing. More importantly, willing to repair instead of pushing for replacing the entire unit (cost effective). I appreciate his dedication. I am very happy with his work. I would not hesitate to use Americool in the future.
