Americool did an outstanding job replacing a part on our gas furnace. On time, professional and charged a fair price. Highly recommend.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND using Americool. One of the few honest companies left in this industry, they saved us from being totally scammed by another company trying to scare us into just replacing our whole unit when we just needed a simple repair. Customers for life!!

I did not have a pleasant experience. Started with the original visit where the technician determined that the unit needed a new motor. And he informed that the charge was $400, and he ended up charging me $550. leaving my unit vibrating and making a sound that with time became louder. I call them to return because the noise was incredibly loud. I was informed, by the same technician that I needed a new blade for the motor, charged me 130.00. Leaving the unit working. I was contacted by their office, and the job was priced at 600 for the part and changing the blade (3 hours of labor). Next day the unit stopped working and when I checked the blade had slided down the center rod and stopped with the unit's compressor. When I checked, the screw that holds the blade in place was left loose. I ordered the blade which it cost me 40.00 and installed myself in 20 minutes. The unit was not cooling, and I contacted them and after complaining about the overcharge for the installation of the blade, they offered to check my unit again and not to charge me for labor if parts were needed. The technician informed that it was the capacitor and wanted to charge me 200.00 for the part and installation. I purchased the part myself for 15.00, changed in 15 minutes, the unit was working like new. From this point on is going to be very difficult for me to trust any HVAC company.

"I wanted to share a great review about Chip, Ray, and Colby. All three were total pros, and always showed up on time. They installed 4T and 3T units in our new home's HVAC system. Chip really stood out because he took the time to explain the whole process to me from start to finish. Honestly, I didn't go with the absolute cheapest quote. Chip's quote was a bit higher, but that's because I wanted some specialized stuff done.

The team was at my house every weekday for over a month. Every day, Ray would call me and let me know what they got done. We were actually living in the house during a crazy four-month renovation, but you hardly knew they were even there. They cleaned up great each day! Chip was the brainpower behind all the calculations, balancing, and figuring out where everything should go. I even saw him training his team on the job, showing them how to handle unusual situations that came up. Our floors and carpet were already in, and they made sure to use drop cloths every day.

Thing is, most contractors just care about the immediate job, not building a lasting relationship. Chip stayed in touch with me for over a year and a half, just checking in on the new units. When I moved and bought a new house, Chip was the first contractor I called.

I believe in paying a fair price and building a great working relationship, not squeezing every last dollar out of a contractor. This team went way beyond what most contractors do these days. We live in a world where it's usually all about the contractor. This project was definitely expensive, but it was a fair price, and we both walked away happy. I would definitely recommend Chip and his team."

Since I have multiple dual natural gas/heat pump zones, I signed up for twice a year maintenance checks (spring and fall) which keeps things running at high efficiency and prevents system failures during peak demand. They do full installs as well as routine fixes and tune ups, check for warranties to save customers money, and give good advice. They recently repaired a crawl space leaky flex duct which is an underrated cause of energy loss inefficiency. On another call, my furnace/air handler lost power with a blank thermostat. The tech figured out it was a faulty furnace door cutoff switch which was inexpensive to repair.

John and Craig came out for yearly maint on a/c and instant hot water heater. Did a thorough check and took the time to explain things. Extremely happy with the service they provided.

As a homeowner and a realtor, I came across Americool heating and cooling. I've had good service and luck with them over the years, replacing and upgrading my furnace, hot water tank, and involved in my central air unit. They're technicians are qualified and their workmanship is good. I'm also involved in their yearly maintenance program for the units. Needless to say, I really do not have to shop around. They're great people to work with and they come on time.

Americool has helped us with 2 different unplanned projects in the last 2 years. Starting with our HVAC system and more recently our water heater. I'm extremely disappointed by Automatic Climate's communication and service. This was a bait and switch!

The blower wheels on my mini-splits units have acquired quite a bit of debris, so I called Automatic Climate to request a quote on mini-splits cleaning for my indoor units. The quote they gave me was a bit cheaper than what I had been quoted by other companies in the area for a cleaning. Because of this and their good reviews, I decided to make an appointment.

When the technician arrived, however, he only performed routine maintenance on the system. He checked if it worked, he cleaned some of the leaves from the outdoor unit, and then he gave me a quote for what a cleaning would be. Twice as high as others I had received!

I called to request some kind of refund, because Automatic Climate made me pay for a service I did not request nor need. However, the company refused to offer even a partial refund, because they "did the service I paid for," even though it's not the one I thought they were doing.

It's as though I paid for a painter to come paint my walls, and then they only measured the room!

I don't understand why this company has such good reviews given their awful customer service. I cannot recommend them in good faith to anyone.

Automatic Climate installed a complete HVAC replacement in our home last year and have been out a few times for scheduled maintenance. We are very pleased with the installation and service.
