When you need to make a call to a heating and air company, for the most part something's wrong. Many times I've called Gregory Heating & Air, because something in fact was wrong. At those times when I needed to make that call, I called "Steve"; one of the "Main Men" at Gregory Heating & Air. Steve replaced my furnace, my condenser, and numerous times when my capacitor took a vacation on me, Steve installed a new one. I've even had my coil replaced on couple occasions. I've received service when I lived in Ashburn, Va., and several times at my property in Manassas, Va. I'm very pleased with how this company interacts with its customers. I feel like a familiar friend. These folks know how to make a "hot day" cool down, and a freezing weekend warm up! I will continue to do my part to keep people in business like Gregory Heating & Air; a company who makes you feel like a "familiar friend".

Steve and Mario came out right on time, but I had put us down for half hour later on my calendar. So I was late. No matter, they'd gotten right to work, and in less than an hour they'd fixed a leaky line, replaced a capacitor, and filled up the unit and line with refrigerant. Steve also got me hooked up with filters and Mario's going to come out and do my yard. All this (except the yard work) for less than snell wanted to charge for the refrigerant alone. Highly, highly recommend.

This company has been taking care of our HVAC for 20 years with a full replacement initially, warranty work and some minor repairs. Responsive, experienced and professional service.

We have hired Gregory Heating and Air on two emergency occasions - Steve and the office team have fantastic communications and take the guess work out of the HVAC repair puzzle. Highly recommend them in case of emergency or routine maintenance.

I usually don't review companies that I haven't actually worked with, but feel compelled to say something in this case. I called to see about getting an appointment scheduled for an HVAC issue and the guy that answered was not friendly or helpful. His tone gave me the impression that he didn't care that I even called. Don't bother with this guy, he doesn't want or need your business.....

I would not recommend Gregory HVAC due to a pattern of poor customer service and poor workmanship. For full disclosure, we eventually received our money back.

I called Gregory HVAC to transfer a furnace warranty to my name after purchasing a home. The gentleman who answered the phone was rude and barked at me when I explained why I was calling. Afted looking up my account and seeing that my AC unit is old, he changed his tone entirely and suggested i schedule a tune up. A few months later, the man arrived and said our AC worked well but needed a new capacitor. He did not clean the unit as described on their website under tune up, but installed a new capacitor. A few days later, the AC unit stopped working. After having another company take a look (through our home warranty), they found that the wrong capacitor was installed and it blew the motor for our fan. The Gregory HVAC tech insisted he wouldnt do that because hes in the business for so long. After explaining that we had an invoice from the other company, he returned and replaced a few parts, installed and connected those parts incorrectly, and left telling us to call our home warranty company. The contractor hired by our home warranty company returned and properly connected the correct parts and the unit works fine as before. When we requested our money back from Gregory HVAC, the tech told us we needed to talk to someone else, but we weren't given the information to reach that person. We sent an email also. Weeks later, we finally reached another person on the phone and received a check in the mail.

Gregory HVAC has always done a great job servicing my heating and air units and correctly has diagnosed and fixed any issues that have come up with my units. I highly recommend Steve and his company!

I was referred to RS Gregory by my plumber after having repeated furnace failures that were misdiagnosed by a large, well-known HVAC sales and service company - with large bills to go with each unsuccessful repair call. RS Gregory quickly diagnosed the issue - correctly. They also took extra steps to provide visual confirmation that their diagnosis was correct, so I could see and confirm it, myself. They've always been extremely honest and fair and also stand behind their work. Most recently, they replaced my HVAC system with a really nice Amana system that I love. They also went above and beyond by helping me troubleshoot a new thermostat - they didn't need to do this and could have easily categorized this as a separate / new call, but they didn't. I can't say enough positive things about them and plan to be a customer for many years to come. Highly recommend!

Steve & his team did a great job upgrading our HVAC system! We were very pleased with the removal of our old monster system & the installation of a larger, much quieter one. He helped us keep the old one running much longer than it should have. Thanks Steve!

He has taken care of my heating and air-conditioning needs for several years and each time he diagnoses the situation, then provides me with available options. Steve goes the extra mile to really explain what is going on, the causes and the remedies. He will also research parts suppliers to provide the best solution.
