I have been using Zagreb for over 2 years now. First they installed a Heat pump for us over 2 years ago. After installation of heat pump, it needed som attention as in leaky pipes etc. Ray( The owner) graciously took care of the problems immediately. I entered into HVAC maintenance contract on my own and they have been performing routine service every summer and Winter. The whole team Ray,Peter, Sean and another service person (I do not remember his name are a pleasure to work with. Sean kept me posted of my appontment and if the technician was running as much as 15 minutes late, Sean would me keep me posted. Excellent team to work with. The last thing I like to mention is that when I was shopping for Heat Pump, I found their price to be the best.
Most recent update, This morning we had an issue with the heat pump, which was taken care of by Ray in a matter of hours(including visiting our home).
Excellent job every single time.

Best in town, hands down. I got an estimate from at least 8 different companies before installation and Ray had the best estimate (approximately 4k less than the competing companies) for the same exact system. Installation was just as painless and Ray was there the entire day to make sure everything went smoothly. Highly recommend!

Following their diagnoses, had 2 systems at two separate properties that warranted replacement. When compared against another well-known local brand, I estimate we saved $4,670 between both homes. Operations Manager Peyton extended a high level of professionalism and customer service you rarely see these days, and Ray and his crew effortlessly commandeered the installs. For the past 20 years Ray has replaced 5 of my old HVAC units for my different properties. He has also repaired the units when needed. Ray is very reliable and performs a good quality work with reasonable price. I highly recommend him.

The technician from Washington Gas danger-tagged my furnace, citing a broken/cracked heat exchanger and probable carbon monoxide emission. I went online and put in my information; within minutes Peter from Zagros called. He had someone here within 30 minutes -- the owner and president of the company, Ray Ghofrani. I decided to replace the furnace and the air conditioner; both were 28 years old. Ray gave me a very favorable estimate and got on the phone and made arrangements to pick up the Carrier equipment the next day. We made an appointment for the following day 7:30-3:30. The men arrived on time and went right to work, finishing around 2:00, including hauling off the old equipment and even sweeping out my garage! How nice is that? In no time at all, I was cozy and warm on a very cold day. Now my garage is about ten degrees cooler; the old unit was losing heat into the garage. I couldn't be happier!

I have contacted the manager and owner Mr. Sean and Mr. Ray. They have taken time, going beyond my expectation to check my unit immediately and diagnose the issue. Once I realized the repair is not an efficient option, I have asked them to change the unit. They did explain every step clearly to someone who doesn't have any knowledge of AC, and they provided one of the best unit in the market so quickly which it surprised me . They provided the best and great professional service, the whole team came to my house on-time as scheduled and the whole replacement took about 2-3 hours when I was planning for an all-day long installation. From the financial aspect to the time management, and responsive staff , they have been the best. Thanks to Mr. Ray and Mr. Sean.

Needed a new heat pump/ac installed on a rental property. I called one of the bigger name HVAC companies, and their estimate was ridiculously overpriced. They obviously pass on their tv advertising costs onto their customers. Then, I saw that Ray/Zagros installed our last heat pump/ac about 17 years ago. I also learned that average age of a unit is only about 15 yrs. Called Zagros. Peter had our records still on file. He provided a very reasonable and much more realistic estimate that I agreed to. The new unit was installed a couple days later without any issues whatsoever. I was concerned about "supply chain" delays. There was none. Ray and Peter were excellent and worked with my tenants on the best schedule for them. The crew was excellent and the price was excellent and very fair. I highly recommend Zagros and will surely use them again on my other properties.

I do not recommend Zagros due to followings:

1) prices are not competitive. And is a bit expensive compared to other places. You can shop around for fairer prices in NOVA, I was able to find a cheaper unit. Make sure to get quotes from at least two vendors as well. I realized this later and it was late.

2) after speaking with Zagros about their price and requesting if they can honor a discount, they said they will follow up, and they never did. I followed up again but not to avail!

3) only one week after install, the unit started rattling noise with significant vibration. Installation service was very poor. And customer service wasn’t professional.

In the Spring I contacted Zagros to do an A/C inspection. Mr Zagros did it and it was by far the best I’ve ever had. The owner was so thorough; don’t remember what I paid but worth every cent. I had them do a furnace inspection and two young guys showed up we’re in/out in 30M charged me $175. Latter was very un-thorough! The owner was fantastic his helpers mediocre. I felt ripped off!

The entire process to replace my HVAC system was easier than I imagined. Peyton the office manager and Ray the owner are very responsive to all emails and phone calls. Ray gave a very fair and competitive estimate. Ray and his technician worked seamlessly in unison and completed the removal of my old system and the install of the new units in only four hours, including their clean up. I would absolutely recommend Zagros to my friends or family.

I got several other estimates and I am glad I chose Zagros. I highly recommend these guys to all home owners and business owners in the area. Their focus is on forming a client focused relationships unlike many other companies who just want to get their money and leave.

Professional, honest, fast and reliable service with a very good price. Their transparency for the required service/job is greatly appreciated. We been told by different companies that we needed to change all of our units which could have cost us alot. We also got some quotes from others for a longer wait and almost double the cost for fixing the zoning panel.but instead, Zagros heating & air conditioning fixed the zoning panel and solved our problem with minimum cost possible on the same day. Highly recommanding this company to everyone.

Zagros provided a quote last October to replace my upstairs HVAC system because the old A/C unit was failing. I was not ready to have the work done until April and was very happy they honored the original quote. I had obtained a few estimates and Zagros provided the best proposal. They came promptly at the beginning of the time windows specified and were very professional in their manner of work, keeping the areas as clean as possible. I was pleased to see the A/C and furnace units installed all had new, recent manufacturing dates. I would highly recommend Zagros for any residential HVAC service needed.

Afros HVAC has maintained my systems for years. They have replaced three main systems for me during that time due to the systems age. They have very competitive pricing, will only recommend work that is necessary and are very prompt and professional. I highly recommend them.

Ray and his two guys changed my full HVAC system, as it was failing to work after 20 years of usage.
They were professional, knew their process and were able to find solutions to issues that came up when installing the components. They stayed entire day working hard to finish the job. Ray came back to visit the AC unit a week later to ensure it works as expected. His rate was also competitive among other offers I had received.

While Zagros Heating and Air Conditioning offered a low bid, the workmanship reflected that price. The two-zone system was installed without a bypass vent, which created unnecessary vent noise; the air handler arrived bent; the wiring was messy; and some of the new ductwork was left with sharp, exposed screws and unconventional exhaust venting that raised safety concerns.

As always Meades AC did a great job for us today, but we’ve got to give a special shout out to the Tech’s on the job - Will and Chase! The two were absolute rock stars! Hardworking, polite, good communicators and tidy on the job site. Thanks, gentlemen!

Technician (named Douglas) was able to service our HVAC on same day as our initial call. He texted to let us know that he was enroute and arrived on time, so from the very beginning, we were very impressed with the professionalism of this company and the technician. Douglas did a thorough job today and we highly recommend him! A+++
