Great experience! My tenant called me in the evening to let me know the overflow drain in the basement was clogged and condensation from the AC was backed up. I called Northern VA Plumbing Service 10 minutes before they closed for the day and talked to Dave, who was extremely friendly and courteous! Thank you for the great customer service!
They worked with my tenant and went in the next day and freed up the drain quickly and professionally. There were no hidden or unsuspecting charges! This was a great experience and these guys will be my go-to company for any future plumbing needs!!!

Had a little emergency on New Year’s Day. Attempted to replace my hot water heater drain valve due to leaking. When I went to replace it, I hadn’t realized it was cracked. So, as I was loosening it, it broke off and I had water draining quickly and needed a professional. I made the call and even though Reid was on another job, he rushed right over within 30 minutes. He jumped right in and began fixing the issue as he thoroughly explained every detail about how hot water heaters were made and how they function and that sometimes they use cheap parts. He replace the drainage valve with a nice reinforced high durable valve. He also noticed my water inlet line and exit line had some corrosion and suggested I replace them immediately and that this would make my hot water much more efficient and not only that but extend the life of my hot water heater to almost new condition. Reid also replace my pressure release valve while he was at it. His expertise was on point and he made this former Marine feel “at ease”. Thanks Reid for a job well done! Two big thumbs up!!

These guys are great! My hot water heater burst and I needed same day service. Other plumbers in the area would not give me a quote over the phone, instead insisting they come out to the house first. Dave gave me a very reasonable quote over the phone and dispatched Reid out the same day to replace the water heater. Reid is a master plumber and went above and beyond. I also found out they can service my old 1980's era solar hot water heater system. Northern Virginia Plumbing has earned my business for life.

Reid and James came out to replace some valves for my toilets and the service was excellent. They did a fantastic job in a timely manner and were very professional. The price was great as well. They also spent additional time discussing some other plumbing issues with me at no charge. Would highly recommend giving them a call if you have a plumbing issue!

I've called Northern Virginia Plumbing Services twice, once to replace a water heater and again for a disposal replacement. The service is friendly and upfront. They tell you the issues, what to expect from the replacement process and what the cost will be. They have become my go to for my plumbing issues.

Reid was a fountain of knowledge and information and got our water softener back up and running in no time. After allowing the softener to cycle properly he came back a week later to program the softener to run correctly. We are so happy with the outstanding service that we have them upgrading our water heater and adding a carbon filter. Highly recommend them.

Reid Maxwell came out and replaced my sump pump. He was an absolute professional. He was quick, thorough, and went out of his to provide a bevy of future recommendations that I should consider years down the rode. The price was extremely fair and I am happy I went with them. This might be one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a service company. I called to inquire about having two toilets installed, replacing shorter, round bowl toilets with ADA compliant toilets with elongated bowls. Additionally, I had one toilet that had to be special ordered because of a non-standard 14 inch rough in. Reid was so gracious, always answering my many phone calls, and giving me expert and professional guidance to ensure I purchased the proper toilets. On installation day, Reid discovered that the people who lived in the house before us had improperly installed the flanges, with one being too high and the other being too low. He fixed both and installed the toilets within a couple of hours. His work was impeccable. Too boot, he provided assistance with winterizing our pipes so they don’t freeze- a free lesson that will come in handy for years to come. But, the best part of having him perform the installation was just the pleasure of dealing with him. He was genuine, nice, and a complete professional. A class act! For these reasons and more Northern Virginia Plumbing Services receives my highest possible recommendation. I will definitely be hiring his company again.

Fantastic service. Reid was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. He fixed the garbage disposal, which was the main reason for our call, and answered our other questions and concerns regarding a faucet in the master bathroom and the main water shutoff valve. We'll absolutely call Reed again for any future plumbing repairs.

Very professional , prompt and extremely helpful. I called them on a Saturday morning to schedule service on a down water heater. They had informed me they had a very busy schedule that day and could get us taken care of later in the afternoon!
They texted me when they were 20 minutes away. The technician , Reid was extremely knowledgeable and helpful! He was able to repair the water heater in a few minutes. He explained what the issue was as well.

Reid seems like a good guy that knows what he is talking about water heaters, but unfortunately they failed to install a water heater on two different appointments. Reid came to my house to review my water heater needs and provided some suggestions/options. He showed up a couple of hours after the appointment time and only communicated with me after I texted him about our appointment. After I signed a contract, NoVA Plumbing Services was not able to conduct the water heater install on two different appointments. I wanted to like these guys, but they just couldn't conduct the install. I'm not sure if they are short staffed, but they failed to come through on the install. I will give Reid credit for promptly answering my calls and texts, but disappointed that they couldn't conduct the install. You may have better luck.

I worked with Reid on 11/8/17 in order to move a gas line for a new range I purchased and he provided excellent service. He was prompt for the appointment, moved the gas line perfectly, connected and tested the range and cleaned the work area. Additionally, he provided me with a consultation on my water heater and advised me of the proper care and continuing maintenance to perform to ensure I could maximize its life expectancy. If I run into any plumbing or HVAC issues in the future, I will be sure to call them again as well as recommend them to friends, family and anyone else looking for an experienced, completely competent true professional for performing these services at a reasonable price with no headaches. I called Northern Virginia Plumbing to drain my water heater that Dave installed 3 years ago. He came out and got the job done within a timely manner. He was very professional and even provided me advice moving forward with the replacement of my toilets. Dave is great to work with and I can appreciate his services, yet again. I called Northern Virginia Plumbing for the installation of a new water heater - removal of my old one. Dave worked with me ahead of time to determine if the installation would be a simple one or require more work. He honestly answered ALL of my questions on the phone prior to scheduling the appointment with me. He asked my availability given the typical work day schedules we all have and he worked with me. In fact, I showed up approx. 30 min AFTER the time I promised I'd be home (thank you NoVA traffic) and Reid was still there waiting for me. During my commute Dave stayed in touch with me as I was hoping they would not want to reschedule. They did not. They kept to their promise of work and Reid did a great job. Friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I appreciate good, honest people when I need work done to my home...as I'm not the expert in these areas I rely heavily on their knowledge and experience. Reid even offered for himself or Dave to come out in 1-2 yrs to show me how to filter the water from my water heater. How many businesses do you know will offer services like that "just because..." You don't. Great company, great service, reasonable/fair prices, reliable staff and personable. Definitely deserving of 5 stars. Thank you Dave and Reid. I'll be in touch for future projects!!

Northern Virginia Plumbing was great! Reid did a great job installing our new heat pump, which was much larger than our original water heater and required pipes and the expansion tank to be moved. He was very knowledgeable and did not mind us asking him questions throughout the process. They also did a great job working with our busy schedules. Highly recommend their team and the hybrid heat pump which should save us some money in the future. They also picked up the heat pump from Home Depot for us along with the overflow pan and expansion tank. Great experience overall!

It's not often I take the time to write reviews but sometimes I am so impressed with the level of service I receive, that I feel compelled to do so. My experience with Northern Virginia Plumbing Services is one of those times. My hot water heater went out late Friday night of a holiday weekend. I contacted this company on Saturday morning and spoke with Reid. He would have had someone out to my house that day, but the matter was slightly complicated due to an unusual matter related to the water heater manufacturer's warranty. To make a long story short, Reid was very responsive from Saturday thru Monday helping me to sort out the issue and choose the best way forward. On Monday, (a federal holiday), Dave came out to install my new water heater and right from the start he demonstrated, knowledge and professionalism worth noting. He was also very personable and easy to talk with. The installation went very well, very neat and I am thoroughly pleased with the end results. I will most certainly call this company back the next time I need such services and would highly recommend them to family and friends. Reid, Dave you guys are top notch and it was a pleasure doing business with you.

Reid & James from Northern Virginia Plumbing Services are two great and friendly people who were excellent to work with. They replaced my water heater in under 24 hours from when it broke on a cold and busy holiday weekend. Reid was kind enough to walk me through the entire process over the phone, answering all of my questions before I decided to hire them. Once onsite they went above and beyond to do a great job. They’re prices were more than fair. I’d hire them back in a second.

Reid was amazing! He diagnosed our low water pressure issue, installed a new tank in the basement and fixed a leak in our well pipe. He explained everything that caused the problem and how he was going to repair it before we paid for the work. We would definitely recommend him and his company for plumbing work and will certainly call him again if we ever have a need!

IMMEDIATE ISSUES!!
The service we received from this company- Reid in particular- was nothing short of tremendous !!
We had a lifetime warranty on a Whirlpool eighty gallon electric water heater. It started leaking from the top element. Not too bad. But within three hours we couldn't keep up with 'the small leak.'
I called Reid back and told him of the situation.
Reid was at our house that FRIDAY evening , within hours of my panic phone call.
Not only did he speak with Whirlpool directly- He ensured we would get a replacement water heater - THE NEXT DAY.!!
Reid came to our home on Saturday afternoon and installed our new water heater.
I cannot say enough kind words -
For the professionalism , the Kindness and Concern that this company showed to our dire need. This type of service is hard to find in any business.

I highly recommend this company! Reid was extremely professional and very patient. He thoroughly explained the details of my water heater leak and offered an quote that no other company could beat. To prevent my carpet from developing mold, he gave me a bottle of enzymes, which worked effectively. Another employee, Andre drove a long distance to deliver an air blower to help dry my soaked carpet. I will definitely call them again for future plumbing issues.

Responsive, professional and reasonable charge! The technician solved my sinks clogs (pretty bad ones) very fast and professionally. He was also nice enough to answer some questions about my AC/heating systems, including showing me where the damper is. I had a great experience working with them as I just moved into the area. I’m glad I just found my go-to place for plumbing/AC/heating issues! Highly recommended!!
