HVAC reviews in Auburn, Washington
-
Only used them because of our American Home Shield.
My only regret is that zero stars is not an option. Over a nine month period, this company wowed us with their incompetence.
It took that long to fix our furnace. Each time a different worker would arrive, tell us we have a different problem, offer a different excuse and would blame another worker.
They say they would come one day, then would cancel.
This went on for nine months.
Finally they came to fix it. They fixed it!
It broke the very next day.
This is beyond ridiculous.
Also, shoutout to Samantha the customer service rep who never picks up the phone and is unreachable.
This company is a joke. -
Getting rid of American Home Shield and Furnace Doctors! Better to pay out of pocket. Washington State Energy has these guys rated at 4.6 is BS. Its been about 6 months of chasing furnace doctors and American Home Shield down to replace a Motor in my Boiler. Nothing but trouble since we moved to Washington. You cannot leave bad reviews at all on AHS complaints go nowhere with BBB or consumer complaints. People do not believe the ratings do more research! Check out Service Max Arlington Washington! Better Service reasonably priced!

I had a very positive experience with them.

Unprofessional, non-communicative, phone receptionist brags about knowing nothing, ignorance is bless. Do yourself a favor choose someone else

Their customer service is horrendous! It’s so difficult to get a hold of them and getting an appointment is almost impossible. They don’t appreciate you following up and don’t seem to understand the urgency of not having a working furnace in the middle of winter.
-
Extremely rude receptionist, answered phone very impatiently and aggressively, and 90% of the times asking people to hold, although we appreciated the technician applied a quick workaround so that we don’t have to suffer from the cold weather, however the furnace cover was removed due to the temporary workaround, it became very loud and has a smell of gas or something, we contacted for an update for permanent fix, but not a single update in 2 weeks

I will second what this other person says.
“ This company is 100% trash for customer service. Avoid them at all cost. They are not transparent in their costs or list of services provided, and are confrontational when engaged in a professional manner and tone”
They will berate you, be aggressive and lie about how you talk to them. -
This company definitely stands up to it’s 1.9 star reviews. I’ve experienced all the negative that has been said about this company. Unfortunately my Home Warranty company is why I have had to deal with them.
-
They left my air conditioner in the same condition that they found it with a leak and now I have the same problem two months later when they could’ve actually found the leak and fixed it at the time very poor service
-
Thank you JJ for fixing our furnace. JJ was able to diagnose the issue, submit the paperwork promptly and replace the parts that were needed to be fixed. The scheduling team also helped to get us in as early as possible.

DO NOT use or trust this company, especially if you or your loved ones are seniors. They leave people in the cold in the middle of winter and then John will lie and say he was unaware. Their communication is non-existent and they take advantage of seniors. Apparently their warranty doesn't cover anything. John also tried to coerce private financial information out of the client. Reported to the BBB, and put the word out in the general contracting community in Seattle so they know to steer clear.

I am EXTREMELY disappointed that the insurance company did not look at reviews before contacting this company The Receptionist and John are Not the nicest people. They have both treated me horribly just because i had questions and concerns for an order that was made i. September and they Never made any effort to contact us to let us know Anything! I plan on contacting the BBB to make a formal complaint because this is ridiculous! I don’t think its ok for John the technician to tell me that he does care when the job gets done. SMH

When my furnace stopped working, I had to contact my home warranty and let them know. They told me furnace doctors would come out and fix it. I immediately did a google search and was sooo scared since they had such low reviews.
TBH, I do not know why. I talked to multiple people throughout the whole process and everyone, especially the tech, JJ and they were all amazing. I def would work with them again even if it wasn’t with my warranty. Thank you! -
Nice courteous employees but very difficult to get them to finish job. New home construction in Mukilteo, they started a little a couple weeks late which wasnt an issue, but midway through rough in they disappeared for 6 weeks, with excuse after excuse. Now that we are ready for final install, they have been unavailable for over two plus months. The quality of work is fine, installers are professional, but getting them onsite to finish has been a headache.

My heat pump unit was dripping water and Willy from Furnace Doctors came out and fixed the problem. He was friendly and really knowledgeable about what he was doing. Very happy with the service, which was done through my warranty company.

Absolutely the worst. The reviews don't lie. If you're a home insurance customer with AHS, please know you CAN use your own contractor with AHS, you DO NOT have to use Furnace Doctors.
FD called me to let me know a 3 hour window when then would come by. I said great. I stay home the entire 3 hour window. Nobody calls or comes by. I have places I have to be. A grumpy, rude man calls and between berates me for not calling THEM to let them know I'd be leaving. He interrupted, was condescending and rude. Apparently he's never learned the polite thing to do as a contractor is to call and say, "gee I'm terribly sorry we're running late". I would have gladly stuck around. I never got a word in and hung up.
He called back and left a vaguely threatening message about how "very few people work with my insurance company".
I would rather pay out of pocket or use space heaters than deal with this guy ever again. Thankfully my home insurance has got me covered with whomever I choose. -
This company is 100% trash for customer service. Avoid them at all cost. They are not transparent in their costs or list of services provided, and are confrontational when engaged in a professional manner and tone.
For reference, their service was to repair a newer mini-split HVAC system, and they refused to share the details referenced above with me (the homeowner), while also choosing not to be transparent with the root cause of failure and methods and material used for repair. Yet, they did send an invoice to get paid by my home warranty company. -
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Racist customer service, rude, and can't handle a simple phone call to schedule an appointment. I was assigned this vendor from my home warranty. I called their office to schedule an appointment. It took 3 calls over 2 hours to get someone on the phone. The lady asked for my last name, and immediatly gave me another client's full name, address, and appointment date because she assumed it was them because "we had the same last name". She was extremely rude when I tried to let her know I was a different person and the last name was common. She interrupted me to tell me her doctor has the same name and she "felt bad for me" because it "sounds weird". Ma'am, I'm trying to just set an appointment. She said someone from their virtual assistant team would call me after 3 days to schedule the the appointment because their contract allows it and they are in no rush to schedule it with me. The home warranty was able to cancel this appointment and reschedule with a different vendor.

This company was assigned by my home warranty company because they were supposedly the only business in my area available to do a seasonal A/C tune-up. Receptionist scolded me for not giving her information in the order she needed it. Extremely rude person. No thank you. I canceled the service request and will pay extra without home warranty rather than do business with this company.

THANK YOU John and Samantha for fixing our furnace so promptly during this cold season! We were referred to Home Furnace Doctor through our home warranty program.John came and diagnosed our 20 yr old furnace needed an inducer motor and found a company to supply this hard to find part.
Another private contractor had told me that I needed to replace another furnace. John had saved me from spending a whopping $5000! -
Thank you, Samantha, and thank you, Chad! We were connected to this business by our home warranty company. We had a great experience. They scheduled us almost immediately, came out and diagnosed the problem, ordered the part that we needed and expedited shipping, and returned promptly to fix the problem. Thank you for being so amazing and working so diligently around the holidays. I am so thankful to have hot water and heating again. Your kindness goes a long way.
