Constraction reviews in Madison, Wisconsin

Carlos and his team were very professional and exceeded our expectations for finishing our basement. They listened to what we wanted and were respectful of our budget. The project progressed quickly once it got underway and without cutting corners. His insight and eye were very appreciated. We felt totally comfortable having his team in and out of our house at any given time throughout the work week. All of the specialists, whether it were carpet, painters, etc were all very professional. We would totally recommend working with him again.

Carlos and his team did a great job finishing our basement with a family room, full bathroom, and gym. The team was always respectful and communicated throughout the process. The project ended up being exactly what we were looking for at a fair price. We highly recommend.

Carlos and his team were excellent to work worth. They dug, cut and installed an egress in our basement and were nothing but professional, knowledgeable and friendly from start to finish. The finished product looks amazing. I ordered the wrong egress insert and Carlos went above and beyond to get the correct one same day to finish the install. I would highly recommend Capital Custom contractors and if I ever need anything else done Carlos will be my first and only call.

Carlos and his team built us a deck with a screened in porch below. They used a gutter system on the deck to keep the lower porch dry. The deck turned out great and we couldn’t be happier. They were timely, professional and helped guide us in our material choices to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. I would highly recommend them to anyone and we hope to use them again in the future!

Carlos and Daniel did amazing work! They installed the Kerdi board, tile and flooring in our mater bathroom and we love it. They made sure that it was sealed and water tight before they installed the tile. They took their time and paid attention to every detail. I highly recommend them!

They took over a job that I started as was too much for one person and where able to fit me into the schedule before it got to cold to do concrete work. The crew do an awesome job and very respectful. I will definitely use them again.

We were so pleased with Carlos and everybody on his team. He took a part of our unfinished basement and turned it into a beautiful bonus room that we will get so much use out of. Would highly recommend this company.

If I could give them 0/5 I would. They came to my home for an electrical quote and they never got back to us. We tried calling and texting them multiple times. It is extremely uncomfortable knowing they walked through my house, saw my belongings and then ghosted us. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.

We had such a pleasant experience working with Capitol. The whole team was very responsive and exactly executed my vision for our total bathroom remodel. Thanks especially to Carlos and Tracy for making our vision come to life! When we asked for changes or had to wait for an item to arrive, Carlos was very accommodating. No hesitation recommending them to a friend or stranger :)

Carlos and his team were great to work with! We had our ceilings refinished and many electrical projects completed. The team was friendly, knowledgeable, and very timely. We will be working with them for future projects.

I recently had my full basement renovated by Capital Custom Contractors, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. From start to finish, Carlos and his team of professionals were outstanding. They guided me through every step of the process—from planning and design to material selection and final touches—with patience, expertise, and great communication.

The quality of the work is top-notch, and they delivered exactly what they promised, on time and at a very reasonable cost. The finished basement has completely transformed our living space and exceeded our expectations.

If you’re looking for a contractor who is reliable, detail-oriented, and genuinely cares about customer satisfaction, I highly recommend Capital Custom Contractors. You won’t be disappointed!

When we decided it was time to move my elderly mother into our home, I reached out to Carlos at Capital Custom Contractors and several other companies for estimates on a full basement remodel to create a private apartment for her. Ultimately, I ended up going with this company because they had room in the schedule to start the job quickly, their estimate was very reasonable, and the reviews were good. What a great decision that was! They did a fantastic job on our basement remodel. We are so happy with the final results. We got excellent, quality work for a fair price. The team was respectful, friendly and flexible. Carlos was only a phone call away when I had questions. A big thanks to Rigo, Gary, Eddy and the rest of the team on a job well done. I'll be contacting Capital Custom Contractors for all our construction and repair needs from now on. (In fact, they are currently working on some exterior work for me as I write this review).

We used Capital Custom Contractors to install some flooring in July of 2021. We were listing our condo on the market and needed the job done ASAP. Carlos brought three employees and they were able to have LVP tile installed in two bathrooms in ONE day on last-minute notice! They were on-time and each employee was very professional and courteous. Would recommend! Thanks so much! - Alyssa

We had Capital Custom Contractors replace our old countertops with granite ones. They were fast, affordable and look fantastic. All workers were responsive, respectful and friendly. We will definitely call them for future projects.

I have worked with a lot of contractors and working with Capitol Custom Contractors was by far the best experience I have ever had! Carlos, Rigo and Eddy created a completely new living space in our unfinished basement including a family area, bathroom, gym and storage area. They were professional, courteous and pleasant and we really liked that Carlos was interested in what we wanted, as well as offering helpful suggestions when needed. They installed everything! Ceilings, walls, flooring, bathroom fixtures, painting, plumbing and electricity, it was a lot of work we wanted to have done but the end result was amazing. It turned out so well the area that was intended to be a secondary living space has become the main gathering area. If you are looking to have a project done I would highly recommend Capitol Custom Contractors!

We had Carlos and his team work on a remodel over the last few weeks. They turned an extra family room into a bedroom with bathroom en suite. They did a nice job, and they are a very polite and respectful crew of workers. They also worked quickly on the project, which was a high priority for us.

We went with Capital Custom Contractors to finish our basement, adding in an office, bathroom, living area and wet bar. The final product looks great! Carlos and team were wonderful to work with. They were all very friendly and professional. I appreciate the extra effort they put into finishing the space beneath the staircase, creating a cozy play area for our toddler. We definitely recommend this team for your home projects too.

We recently had a backyard renovation done and we couldn’t be happier with the results! From start to finish, the team was professional, reliable, and easy to communicate with.

They showed up on time, kept the worksite clean, and paid great attention to detail. They listened to our ideas, gave helpful suggestions, and made the whole process stress-free. The finished product is even better than what we had imagined too!

We highly recommend Carlos and his team to anyone looking for quality work done with professionalism and care. We’ll definitely be reaching out again for future projects! THANK YOU!

I would absolutely recommend Carlos and his team. We hired them to finish our basement and they were great to work with throughout the entire process. We wanted to do some of the work ourselves to stay within our budget and Carlos was always super flexible working with us when there was a step we wanted to do. We also made several changes during the project and he always made sure that those happened without a problem. We added another family room and bathroom (before and after pics attached) and Carlos took care of all the planning and scheduling to make it happen. The team was always timely and professional when working in the basement and answering our questions. We are very happy with the result and glad to recommend Capital Custom Contractors.

We recently worked with DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen to renovate our bathroom and kitchen, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Their team was extremely organized, communicative, and professional throughout the entire process. We always knew what to expect, timelines were clear, and any questions we had were answered quickly.

Renovations can be stressful, but DreamMaker made the process smooth and well-managed. The quality of the work is fantastic, and we’re really happy with how everything turned out. I would absolutely recommend them and would gladly work with them again in the future.

We needed updates to three bathrooms - one a total remodel, one with major updates and one with a new counter/sink/faucet. DreamMaker's did a fantastic job on all. They worked with us so there was minimal disturbance to life and ensuring we had one bathroom that we could use over the construction period. All the staff were great to work with. They get my highest recommendation.
