The individual came out to the house check the furnace. Made it seem like if he didn't check it it would have died on us over the winter. Did not check the filter which was very dirty. Proceeded to check part of the AC. Did not check the pressure of the AC to see if the freon was low. Just that the compressor was junk and the AC unit only a few years old was a cheap unit and all should be replaced. Quoted $5,000 plus labor to replace. Did not diagnose 100% or give a price on fixing old unit. Underhanded Scare Tactics in my opinion. I will be calling for a partial refund tomorrow we'll see how that goes. Seems I've already called and was supposed to receive a phone call back today about the service that was performed. Have not heard anything.

I called 3 companies to get quotes for my A/C to be replaced because it was 35 years old and stopped working.
1st place came out and told me my furnace was 22 years old and also needed to be replaced. They gave me 3 quotes, the cheapest being $12,900.
2nd company we sent photos to and they quoted us $8,900 for A/C and Furnace.
3rd company was Kettle Moraine. I asked to submit photos and get quote for A/C and Furnace. Guy told me Furnace is 5 years old and doesn't need to be replaced. He quoted me $4,700 for A/C and sheet metal work. I agreed. When quote came in it was $4,300. Woo-hoo!!!! When the techs came to install they found the motherboard on the Furnace was bad so they replaced that as well. I wasn't home but my wife had nothing bad to say so that's a good thing. With motherboard we were right around original quote which is way better than $12,900. I would absolutely recommend this company and use them again myself.

Reliable Mechanical Services recently replace our furnace and central air units. Wade and his partner showed up at the time they had set with us, brought everything needed for the job. I would like to send out a huge thanks to Wade at Reliable Mechanical Services. I received a phone call while at work (in my 100 plus degree auto shop) from my wife complaining about how hot the house was. After she told me the temp was 92 degrees inside I immediately called R.M.S. and I’m not sure what kind of magic he pulled from his hat but he was able to get my central air unit back up and running. I was incredibly pleased when I got home from work later that night and my house was cooled back down to a chilly 67 degrees where I like it. He was kind enough to explain to me that the current unit on my home was definitely being pushed beyond it’s designed limits (undersized for my home) and provided me an estimate for a more efficient and larger unit for about a grand less than his competitor. At this time I’m going to continue to use my undersized ac unit because after some maintenance he did for us it cools our house perfectly but it will definitely get upgraded next year by his company for sure. After he explained that a more efficient unit will cool just as well if not better and only have to run about half the time to do so as my current unit it’s kind of a no brainer. Huge shout out to Wade at RMS for allowing me to have a nice cool night after a very long hot day of working in a 100 plus degree auto shop all day!

R.M.S. installed a mini-split in my garage. It's been about a year now, and I have enjoyed both a warm garage in the winter and a comfortable and cool garage in the summer while tinkering on projects. Also fixed my main A/C unit that just needed a capacitor. Knowledgeable, fair, and quailty.
