After several failed attempts at finding a spout for my tub to replace an old, rusted over one, I made my way over to Central and I was helped to quickly find a solution that ended up being cheaper than Lowe’s or Home Depot! I didn’t know that Central sold materials and had been under the impression that they were solely a servicing business, but was happy to learn that I could support local and fix the issue myself. Mark knew exactly what I needed and gave me several options to try, reassuring me that I could return whatever I didn’t need. I will absolutely be shopping here again - awesome customer service and staff that didn’t make me feel silly for having so many questions.

We scheduled an appointment for repair of our garage heater. When we made the appointment, they asked for the model number. Before coming out, the technician called for a description of what was happening so he could bring the most likely parts with. The technician arrived at the scheduled time, had a great pleasant demeanor, quickly diagnosed the issue, and replaced the faulty part with one he already had on the truck as a result of his calling ahead.

I was having some furnace issues. Replaced the thermal coupler, still not working. So I took it apart and brought in my pilot assembly to Central Plumbing & Heating to hopefully get a replacement, my furnace is as old as the hills btw. No pilot assembly in sight that matched mine, to no surprise. The fellow working asked if he could bring my pilot assembly in the back, to try and clean the pilot orifice, I agreed. When he came back with my parts, they looked brand new. I asked how much I owed him. He refused any payment and simply said, “Why would I charge you anything, if I didn’t sell you anything?” So I thanked him and went home. I reinstalled my parts into the furnace, and everything worked perfectly. Thank you so much for saving the day, your kindness is greatly appreciated!!!

I live in Mat-Su and had a kitchen sink malfunction. I contacted several of the prominent plumbing companies in the Valley. It seemed the staff answering the phone didn't understand my problem nor recognized my sink brand or issue. One even said they couldn't send a plumber out to look ("I don't think we can fix it for you."). So, I drove to Anchorage and brought my smartphone photos. I was greeted by knowledgable staff, and actually several plumbers were there. They identified the problem immediately and sold me the parts. I just repaired the sink and it works great. I've lived here for over 60 years and Central has never let me down. Thanks.

Had many home issues with leaking. Called about the water heater along with other leaks.. Paid plumber $225 to come over and tell me I needed a new water heater. Didn't want to help with other issues. This process took approximately 10 minutes. Called to schedule with someone who was busy. Took my name. Called a few hours later. Still busy. Sent an email a few days later. Said would hear something on Monday. I didn't. I called on Tuesday and the person on the phone told me to respond to the email. I told her I would go with a different company. This company is a big rip off from the technician to the phone operator, to the person in charge. Never again will I use this company. Save yourself $225.

Can I just say that whoever the gal is that works their parts counter is about the most lovely human I have encountered in a while. She knows her stuff and really loves plumping parts!

Friendly local business, knowledgeable staff. Guided me through my options, taught me what I needed to know to make an informed decision and do the job safely and correctly. Referred me to other local businesses for things they don't carry.

Needed an item to get my hotwater heater fixed and they were able to help when no one else did. Also were very patient even though they were very busy today. Thanks guys

Paul is a wealth of knowledge and has pointed me in the right direction. I am updating/replacing my forced air system. By doing this I should save money by having new components being energy star rated and long run savings not needing to retrofit newer components on an 80' custom built unit. I have purchased all of the suggested components from Paul and look forward to have an updated system in my home.

I had an EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE with Central Plumbing and Heating, in Anchorage Alaska! Despite not having the item I was looking for, one employee ✨ Kalei C. ✨ went out of her way, to build a custom order for me, to fit my needs. She is a shining star there! 🤩 THIS IS THE HIGHEST CUSTOMER SERVICE, that anyone could ask for!!!! 🙏🏻 I hope the company recognizes what an exemplary employee she is, and afford her the recognition through advancement, etc. that she is deserving of! Literally, there was a young male employee, that kept shaking his head (as she and I were in conversation) and saying no, no no. He could do with some professional training in customer service. If my experience was based on him, I would probably give it 1 star review. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!

Just called to ask some questions about my boiler and Paul was extremely helpful and provided a lot of information about how to test the system and make sure our heat works well. That type of customer service is rare. Thank you!

They arrived on time and very efficiently finished the job, cleaned up after themselves and presented a very reasonable bill.

Arctic Sewer and Drain came and fixed our problem. I called 4 places for our issue on a Sunday morning. Arctic was the only place that answered. They came and fixed the problem within a few hrs. I will definitely be using them again. They were very friendly & explained what he would be doing as well as what caused the issue.

These guys are great! Within an hour of when I called about a clogged drain in our garage, John arrived and fixed the problem. Our fastest service ever for any kind of repair. Nice guys and very reasonable cost.

My kitchen sink drain created a rubber duckie pond in my kitchen cupboard. Isaac at Arctic Sewer & Drain was recommended to me. I called him the evening I found my mini indoor pool. He helped me out the next day. Both he and his coworker were friendly and knowledgeable. They fixed my problem quickly and I do not feel like I was ripped off. I will use them again should the need arise.

I just moved to Alaska and into my first home. I was here just a few days when it was clear my drain in my garage was clogged. One morning I happened to be looking out the kitchen window and Artic Sewer and Drain was pulling up to my neighbor's house. I threw on my jacket and boots and went over and asked if they had a moment when they were done to diagnosis my problem and then get me on their schedule. I by no means expected them to resolve my problem that morning. But father and son Isaac and Isaac Jr. (or Joe as I like to call Isaac Sr ;) ) popped over when done at my neighbors and fixed my issues right then and there. Then they dispensed some friendly Alaskan advice to me. They both were incredibly welcoming, kind and friendly ... and got my drain issued resolved! I now have the sewer and drain company I will use for the rest of my Alaskan life! Thank you Joe and Joe Jr.!

Isaac is AWESOME! Not only did he answer his phone, he was quick to respond, quick to find the problem, helpful and fun to work with. We had to call after hours and even with overtime cost, it was cheap for all he had to do. Arctic Drain is on the top of our list and the only one we will use and refer to friends and family. Thanks Isaac for still being customer oriented, friendly, helpful and affordable.

We had a mysteriously leaky toilet. Our regular plumber diagnosed the problem as a clog in the pipes leading to our septic system and advised us to call a specialist. Isaac and his son were just super, starting with the initial call. They came out quickly, cleared the clog and re-seated the problem toilet.We couldn’t have been more pleased. Highly recommended!

Had an issue on a Sunday morning. They responded immediately, arrived within 2 hours and fixed the problem in 20 minutes or less. Super recommend especially for emergency situations! I called 3 or 4 different places and they were the ONLY ones to call back.
