Jim and his daughter Emilee are a great team! They always answer when I call, or call me back fast if I leave a message. They've come when scheduled in advance, but also on emergency when I had a leaking pipe. They communicate well with their customers. Jim is focused and efficient while working. He never hesitates to explain what the problem is or how things work, which I appreciate! I'm just really happy with their service, and he will be my go-to plumber in the future.

Hogins Plumbing and Heating puts helping the customer as priority over making a profit. They could have easily charged me a service fee to come out to my house and tell me that I simply needed to change the batteries for my touch faucet (batteries that I had no idea even existed since I was completely unfamiliar with a touch faucet). Instead, they troubleshooted with me by text on a Friday night, after hours (as late as 11 pm), and they were able to figure out what the problem was so that I could get the sink working right away. I will definitely call them next time I have a need for service.

Jim is very trustworthy and conscientious in his work. I have counted on him over the years for my plumbing and heating needs. He has fixed my leaking p trap under my kitchen sink, installed a water heater and replaced my failed blower motor in my furnace after the recent cold snap. Thank you so much Jim for being reliable and for doing the job right the first time!

We would highly recommend this service to all our friends. We had a power surge/fire at our house that ended up affecting our heating system. We called Steve, the service manager, and within an hour we had Joe out to diagnose our problem. Joe was very polite and professional- he found the problem and quickly ordered the part.

We have also had Shawn come out in the past for another issue - he was able to get us fixed up quickly!!

I broke my tub faucet off trying to fix it myself. It was after normal business hours and now I had no water in the house! I called Flow Star and talked with Steve. He sent Jarrod over with a new faucet within the hour. Jarrod made quick work of a bad situation and had me fixed up in about two hours. He even cleaned out the mess in the tub!! What a pleasure to deal with true professionals who know how important real customer service is!! Hats off to the folks over at Flow Star!! You have a

Flow Star is the best!! Very responsive and professional. An earthquake broke my water heater and it was flooding my garage, I called Monday morning and someone came out that afternoon to replace the entire unit. The service is unbeatable, and the staff really hustle to get parts even when they're discontinued or unavailable without making you wait or having to come back numerous times. This is the second time they've come through the same day to resolve an issue. I won't use anyone else.

Marco from Flowstar came out to my mother-in-laws house to check her furnace. Although it has made a few unexpected noises, he assured her that it did not need to be replaced and throughly checked it out and cleaned it up. She got a report of everything checked and what the current condition was for each thing checked. Not only did he check the furnace he took the time to check on a plumbing issue, which he was not scheduled to do. My worry was that a company would come in and take advantage of my mother-in-law. That did not happen. I have referred Flowstar before and I will continue to do so! Two thumbs up!

I called on a Friday for leaking hot water tank, got an appointment for Monday to come give me an estimate to replace hot water tank. Technician that was sent was able to give me an estimate in about 10 minutes. 30 minutes later I called back to make an appointment for install. Technician returned two hours later with everything needed to complete the job. Communication was awesome, they explained what was going to be done, and answered all our questions. Technician was very professional and made the install look easy.

Kurdell @ Flow Star provided stellar service. He was able to get us in quickly, complete the water removal and install a sump pump within 24 hours of reaching out to him. He communicated with me throughout the process. He even sent pictures and video of the repair since I was out of town. I will definitely be using & recommending Flow Star for my future plumbing and heating needs.

My heat went out in the middle of the night, and I awoke to a freezing house.

Flow Star Plumbing and Heating was able to fit me into their schedule on short notice on the day I called.

I initially spoke with Steve, who was great. He let me know they were pretty booked out but if they had an opening he'd call me back.

Shortly after I got a call back, and explained what was going on. He had a technician out to the home in about 30 minutes! Incredible stuff.

Tino was the technician I worked with, he was extremely professional and has exceptional customer service skills. He quickly diagnosed my furnace and explained our resolutions.

He suggested we think about replacing the furnace soon as it's well past it's life expectancy, but we could get it up and running by replacing the inducer motor. After calling around to find the part locally, he picked it up and had my furnace up and running in no time.

I felt very educated afterwards, and extremely grateful to have a warm house again in less than two hours!

I will happily continue doing business with Flow Star for all my plumbing/HVAC needs.

Yeah buddy, Flow Star saved my day- and house. My boiler went out in December AGAIN and everywhere I called was booked, didn’t answer, or wanted to charge me an arm and a leg for an emergency call out. I called Flow Star and got a very prompt response. Within minutes Tino was on his way to save the day! Tino was prompt, professional, kind and knowledgeable. He got my boiler up and running and was able to provide me with the best suggestions on boiler replacement. I highly recommend Flow Star and will be using them again!

After leaving the below review, the owner reached out to me to resolve my complaint. He looked into the issue and was genuinely concerned about the service that was received. I appreciated how important customer service is and how much he wanted to resolve any issues i still had. I can tell his customers and business means a lot to him. I believe that his knowledge of short comings he uses for training opportunities.

I called this company for a leaky faucet. Which should be a simple repair. They got me in right away, but what they did not tell me is they were gonna charge me for drive time, and they also did not explain any pricing before he got started or when they called me to give me the time they would be coming. I realize there should be a 1 hour minimum. But when it takes you only 15 minutes to drive to my house and 10 Minutes to Fix the Leaky Faucet and Charge me 1.5 hrs, which is $165 an hr so $277 for a leaky faucet. They need to tell customers. They are unprofessional. They even replaced parts my husband had already replaced but he did not tell me what he was going to do and just did it. I could have said something. So basically not good communication with this company.

I work for Alaska Ship Creek RV Park for the season and we were suppose to be fully open today but ran in to issues with busted pipes after we had our water turned back on. Called Flow Star out to repair it and Tino was amazing. Came out same day to fix an emergency leak and even came in to the office to show us what the problem was and how he fixed it. Super professional and nice would totally recommend to anyone looking for plumbing services!

I had an emergency (no hot water) at my business on Friday afternoon. After a misunderstanding, the owner of Flow Star made himself available after hours AND had a technician fix my issue promptly that evening. I GREATLY APPRECIATE Flow Star and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them. They earned my business going forward!!

"Flow Star" is now my "go to" company for heating and plumbing services.
First I needed a plumber, but everyone I called couldn't come out for a couple of weeks, or not at all. I called Flow Star and they sent someone that day to fix the plumbing issue we had. The service was great. Professional, courteous, on-time, quick but all quality work...all the attributes one would hope for.
So I decided to call them back to service my furnace. Again I was very impressed with the level of service. They are definitely doing it right. Very honest and trustworthy. I'm glad I found them.

I appreciate good service especially plumbing. I was scheduled quickly, I had 3 issues zone valve out, leaky shower valve and a cracked elbow on my heating element. Jared was prompt had all of the parts, very courteous and quick. He also fixed a power head and auto vent. I’ll definitely call Flow Star again. It was 1/3 less than I estimated, I’m a pleased customer.

Kurdel went out of his way to help us get hot water as our waters needed replacement on the same day. The techs were great and very professional and did a great job installing the new water heaters. Can't say thank you enough. Thanks again, great Job. Would recommend them.

Submitted a warranty request through HSA which sent me to Flow Star for my Furnace. Every part of working with them from talking to the receptionist for an available service appointment, to trouble shooting my furnace over the phone with their owner until the technician made it to our home that same evening was absolutely wonderful and easy. They went out of their way to come to my home the same day I submitted the claim because we weren’t getting heat in this severe Alaskan cold. Would highly recommend a company like this that goes out of their way to take care of their customers no matter how busy they are.

Flow Star Plumbing and Heating is our new go to for all of our plumbing needs. Big shout out to Steve, Anitra and especially Hill. Anitra always answers the phone quickly and professionally , her sweet demeanor makes my day every time I call. Steve works with us when it comes to scheduling he is friendly and very accomadating. Then there's Hill. This young man has made three visits to our home on three different jobs. He is so intelligent, thorough and experienced. We are an older couple and have hired lots of plumbers for a variety of issues but I have to say, Hill is unique, he laser focuses on the job at hand. .Hill intstalled two different vanities in two different bathrooms and he did an absolutely beautiful job with each one. It is very nice to call someone who you know is going to be prompt, professional and such a joy to work with. We appreciate you folks keep up the great work!

UPDATE: I've knocked two stars off this review after using Flow Star again today and being hit with what was, to me, a SURPRISE! charge. BE AWARE: Flow Star is now charging a "driving fee." At $165 per hour, this added $80 to today's repair bill. This fee didn't appear on my bills when I first started using Flow Star in 2023. I still got the same friendly, competent service today, but that extra charge came as a very disappointing surprise.

I've used Flow Star twice in recent months (after 15 years of using another more established and well-known plumbing company) and I couldn't be happier. Both times the Flow Star plumbers were courteous, competent, and efficient. They fixed the problems (both of which were errors left over from the work of other outfits) and for a darned good price. I called Flow Star this morning when our Burnham boiler stopped working. Tino came out and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. Flow Star is now my go-to for our home's plumbing and heating needs.
