The tech came to my door without a mask. No big deal I thought we are probably the first customers of the morning he probably has forgotten. After coming in and walking to my fridge and talking to me about the fridge I asked him if he had a mask or needed one. He said that he has asthma and couldn’t wear one. I didn’t want to argue but I told him my kids are in the bedroom and I would feel safer if he put a mask on. He continued to argue with me that he could die if he wore a mask because he couldn’t breath. He was talking on the phone the entire time as well with someone named Brian and relaying everything I was saying to him. He actually pulled out a blue mask he had and put it on. He advised that he would not be finishing the rest of the job only the fridge and I said that’s fine as long as you have the mask on. He was upset over it and started arguing with me over it. I told him there are people who don’t care about masks, he should go to them...and send someone who wants to wear a mask. I left the room to call the company and he left did not finish the job. He was very rude unprofessional and argumentative I find it completely absurd that any employee would speak to a customer the way that he did and argue with them the way that he did. I then called the company and got the receptionist who was not polite either and said yeah I heard his side of the story and I said can I speak to the manager and she said you can tell me, I said are you the manager she said no I said I would like to speak to the manager then she said he was out on a call and would have him call me back. Very rude as well. Then my husband called because he was super aggravated how both of them have treated me and amazingly the receptionist apologized to my husband for the way that the tech has treated me not to me but to my husband. This is absolutely unacceptable I would never use this company.

Started off bad with this company. Needed my dishwasher repaired at my rental and no one showed up for the appointment and then was told a part was being ordered (without looking at the dishwasher) and after multiple attempts have heard nothing. Going with someone else.

From the scheduling to the work, everything was great, easy, and I would definitely recommend! Brian is friendly and helpful! Work was done promptly, and while doing so he even offered some very helpful advice on another couple of issues I was having!

Have used them twice now over the course of 3 years. Excellent service! Brian is very knowledgeable, nice and professional! They've assisted with everything from plumbing, electrical, removing exterior gates, cleaning and replacing tile grout. I would recommend them to anyone.

Recommended to me by Spencer’s TV & Appliance… awesome customer service by Jen, and Brian came out within 48 hours to do our repair. He was early/on time to the appointment, and in and out in just a few minutes. Very good experience, highly recommend. This is a family-owned/operated business.

"I want to start off by saying thank you. On May 8th, Kenny from Herb's Appliance Repair came out and, within a short time, figured out why our refrigerator was leaking into the fridge side. He fixed the issue quickly, and it has been working perfectly ever since. This was especially impressive considering that your competitor had seven chances to fix the problem. After spending approximately ~$6,200 and multiple visits by their competitor, they were still unable to resolve the issue. Kenny’s expertise and efficiency truly stood out, and we’re incredibly grateful."

Our 2013 Kenmore LG refrigerator stopped working. PORA recommended 5 repair companies. We called one, who came promptly but could not fix the problem. He had a recommendation for us, though, and phoned Herb’s Appliance Service on our behalf. Jennifer answered and soon called us to say that Brian (the late Herb’s son) could come in 20 minutes.
When Brian arrived, he diagnosed the problem: a malfunctioning compressor. Repair would cost as much as $1300. Another option would be to move the refrigerator out to the sidewalk; someone would take it away.
Option 3 was to remove the refrigerator and exchange it for the older, smaller Kenmore which we had in our laundry room. As we wondered aloud who we could ask to move the refrigerators, Brian stated that as it happened, he had room in his van and could haul it away. Soon its doors were removed and out went the fridge. Brian returned, removed the doors of the old fridge and moved it into the kitchen.
His energy and competence and knowledge and communication skills are amazing! As if that weren’t enough, he gave us tips for maintaining appliances and entertained us with stories about his tortoise, Marley, and much more.
The bill for all this work was very reasonable. We feel so fortunate for having found Herb’s Appliance Service and wholeheartedly recommend this company.

These guys are a class act. They are honest, on time and very knowledgeable. They have fixed my ice maker and my refrigerator. They have fixed my dishwasher and did so in two days with ordering a part. They get the job done so fast. I would highly recommend this company. From the woman who answers the phone to the technicians, they are a class act. Always good to have an honest repair company on your side and these guys are it. Thanks guys

Brian came out to fix my dishwasher. The filter was always grimy and it never got hot enough to dry the dishes. While he was here he noticed the water in the filter was too high and the switch for the heater was turned off. He got the heat working in the dishwasher and needed to come back another day to replace a part. $200 later the dishwasher has heat but nothing else is fixed. The filter still gets grimy even when I don’t leave food on my dishes. The water level is still high in the filter too. For the amount of money, it was not worth the $200 when only one of the problems was solved. Sad to say but I wouldn’t call for services again even though they were nice people.

Could not recommend more highly. After a few painful encounters with warranty-assigned repair companies, I asked for local recommendations on my Ring app and it is clear to see why more than one neighbor recommended Herb's. Brian took time to diagnose the actual problem I had with my dishwasher that no one else had done before, and made sure it was completely repaired, including an additional visit as needed. He is honest, enjoys his job, and honors his father doing it. If you are into gardening and plants, expect some fun conversation as he is also quite the connoisseur. His wife, who manages scheduling, was also fantastic and extremely kind to work with. I will most definitely be using them for all of my appliance needs!

Brian came to our house after hours to investigate the problem with our appliance. He was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Even after a long day of work, he was at the top of his game. Highly recommend.

Kenny came and checked out our washing machine. The news was bad, but he had some great info and advice on how to proceed. The visit/diagnostic was affordable ($95) and the appt was two days after I called. (I called Herb's based on a review I saw on Facebook - so glad I did!) Thank You!

I have a Samsung TV that was no longer showing a picture but was still getting sound. Called Valleywide TV Repair they helped me troubleshoot the problem over the phone. I highly recommend giving them a call if you are having TV problems.

I'm very skeptical. I called and asked how much an in home professional tv calibration would cost. And the lady on the phone just didn't understand what I was talking about. She just kept asking what's wrong with it. She then told me to just go in the settings and change it myself. Now I'm wondering if I just asked the wrong question.

I do not recommend this place to fix TV's. While they did fix the problem with my TV. In fixing that problem, the problem was then replace with another problem. Basically they fix your TV by messing it up and giving it more problems. I strongly do not recommend this place.

Horrible experience. We go to valley wide tv repair to get my TVs led lights repaired. They take in my flat screen tv and charge for a $45 deposit fee, which is reasonable. They call me 2 days later that they are going to have it repaired within the next few days for $340!!!! That price is just crazy ! The tv itself doesn’t even sale for that much on Craigslist’s or OfferUp used. But regardless the customer service was great and I trusted the tech with my tv( Hitachi 55” flatscreen) so I pay to get my tv fixed. So then the store calls me a few days later. Saying that I didn’t pay the full price and that my warranty will be voided since I didn’t pay the full amount. Which was insane for a store to call a customer couple days later after paying and getting a receipt for the repair on my tv. At the time I didn’t care because I already paid for it and got my tv fixed. But here we are a month later with my tv having the same issue. Meaning the tech didn’t properly fixed my flatscreen tv. And since my warranty is voided on them lying and saying that I didn’t pay full amount. Who can I contact for getting this sorted out? I basically got robbed for $340 for a tv repair that isn’t fixed. I need help getting my money back should I contact the police for this because I already tried calling the store and they keep giving the same run around. I wanna get this sorted out legally and just get my money back.

Response to owner: I made a police claim and will be in stand by with an officer today with my receipt that says paid in full. You haven’t been corroborative To me. And FYI All of this would have been sorted out when I called if you would have shown me the footage of me not paying in full ! That in return would show that I made a mistake and as an adult will be willing to pay myself. If there is no footage then you’re basically just lying!!!! did not in any way trick your “young 40 year old receptionist.!“ mistakes happen, I get it but you stated you have footage and YOU not showing me when I get there. Makes it look like you’re lying and deceiving. karma is in the works my friend and I hope you learn from this and learn how to property handle a situation that your employees made. Instead of threatening me over the phone to void my warranty if I don’t go back to pay the rest. Wish this could have been avoided honestly. I do not want to do business with you after this too. Which was fine at the time because I didn’t expect this to happen ! It’s sad though, that businesses like you are able to get away with things like this ! But I am not that customer ! Don’t worry you will see the receipt that says paid in full !!!!

Fixed my top of the line 65 inch Samsung 4k tv in two days for a super reasonable fee, rebuying the tv would have cost me over a grand. Absolutely use them!

Came out next day and showed up exactly when they said they would.
Thorough but quick diagnostic. Sadly my TV is shot, but it was well worth exploring the possibility of fixing it.
    Would definitely use again.

Wonderful customer service. We came in with no appt. and needed a Mate for our solar panel control soldered in one place. It was done in 10 mins. We asked "How much?" "Nothing" they said. "Took no time" Just asked for a review, a small business looking to grow. Would highly recommend.

Called around to get a quote for a repair of a bad lamp. 149.99 for the lamp with Exchange and 289.99 for a complete lamp? Wow! Then was quoted "well parts are expensive? Really? Called another place who told me I can get the whole lamp for 93.49 housing included original bulb shipped, you pull the old one out inspect the new one making sure they are identical and push the new housing in easy. Doing bulb only watch a YouTube video and wear protective gloves if your able. If you can't then these guys can fix just about anything. They should also look into getting a new parts supplier.
