Hmmmm...where do I begin? I guess to sum it up, they are contractors for American Home Shield Home Warranty Company, and that should speak volumes.

Our minisplit, dual system, went out this summer so our warranty company sent Same Day Air Repair technician Chris out to help. After spending about 15 minutes, he gave the diagnosis that they would basically have to replace the whole system. He promised to call the next day. Nothing! We called Same Day Air a few days late and were told they were working on it.

When we didn't hear back from Same Day Air Repair, we called the warranty company who said THEY were waiting on Same Day Air Repair to get back with them. Thus began each company subtly blaming the other. Confusing, frustrating and time consuming on our part. Because by now, we realized we needed to keep records of this imbroglia.

Finally, July 18th, we received an emal with a total estimate. On September 2nd, a technician came out to replace (or fix) our system. However, I want to mention in the time between July and September temperatures reached 118 degrees.

From the second week of July to the end of September, there were so many times we were promised to get a call back yet didn't. We spent hours, on many days, trying to communicate and keep records of both AHS and Same Day Air Repair. In that time we were also told that the unit just needed a new compressor.

The new compressor was difficult to find and took time getting to Phoenix. After weeks, a tech came out to install the new compressor; it still didnt work. So, they went back to the original diagnosis of needing a new system. A true, first world nightmare!

The estimate of our out of pocket was reduced from $9000 to $5000 by AHS. We agreed and at the end of September Same Day Air Repair sent ONE technician! (Angel, who was actually great.) But they sent him with the wrong unit. Not his fault. Tired, defeated snd hot, we decidrd to bite the bullet and get a cash payout from the warranty company (AHS)of under $2000 . We took the money.

ChatGPT helped us find a company experienced with mini splits, and who are highly rated, we hired AZ Perfect Comfort. They were truly a Godsend. AZ Perfect Comfort sent three experienced technicians out within days of the estimate, and were finished installing in a few hours.

It is now December. AZ Perfect Comfort CALLED US (imagine that!) to see if WE needed anything!

It seems to me, that a company who contracts with home warranty companies have to play by the warranty company's rules to get paid. In a way, I feel a tiny bit sorry for SDAR because in our case, they probably lost money. My husband and I are both retired so we have the time to wait it out, do the work of documentation, calling, and being persistent. Most people are working, have kids and are busy managing their lives and they give up. They pay the $9000 or $5000, or whatever, to just get it over with and (literally) quit sweating.

Still, I think SDAR could have done so much better with communicating and problem solving. I honestly don't think their technicians know minisplits.

So there you have it. If you've read this far, you decide!

McKinley was on time, polite and very knowledgeable. I've never had a tech be so respectful of my home as McKinley was. He went above and beyond to explain what he was doing and did a great job cleaning up after himself. I wish there were more McKinleys in the world.

James Wilson came out today and check my unit and gave me a replacement price, very detail understood what my options were.
Follow up to my review, had a complete system install by Angel and Brandon was on time and did a great job with a few issue but was taking care of right away. Thanks to everyone involved with the whole process.

We had Same Day air out to figure out why when it is under 40 degrees outside our heat pump trips the breaker. They sent out Rob and within 90 minutes he tracked down a bad wire connection. We're very happy with their totally professional and prompt service. They are the best Heating and cooling company I've ever dealt with. Thank you again, Rob and the Same Day Air team.

AC went out for the third time this year. Everyone at Same Day Air Repair was kind, friendly and understood the urgency in getting our AC fixed. I loved working with Eva, she went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of the very next day, despite putting in a request close to end of day. The next day McKinla came to install a new unit, he was quick, thorough and went the extra mile when it came to making sure we were set up! I’m so grateful for the SDAR team. 10/10 recommend

We have had a great experience with Same Day Air Repair in the last two days. We had Steve and his trainee Kevin over yesterday for several hours while it was determined that we needed a new air conditioning unit. They were both positively charming to start. They arrived on time. They were proffessional and efficient. Today McKinley is here to install our new unit. Again, charming, efficient and on time. I did not get the crane operators name, the company was CUCOS. Again, super nice guy and exceedingly skilled and careful. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SAME DAY AIR REPAIR!

The AC went out and Andrew was able to come the same day to look at it. We needed a new unit, which couldn’t be done til the next day, so he set up portable AC units, which was much appreciated. Andrew and Angel were there very early the next morning to start the replacement and duct cleaning. They were very kind and professional and were able to get it all taken care of. They worked very hard to make sure everything was in working order and I am very appreciative! Thank you Andrew & Angel!

FANTASTIC service and AMAZING prices. Steve and Kevin are wonderful at their jobs and were exceptionally professional. They discussed tips on how to keep my AC up and running. They inspected my equipment and told me what did and did not need to be replaced. Absolutely recommend this company for any AC repairs.

They stayed well after hours to finish the project ensure it was to my satisfaction. They never once made a stink about the difficulties they were experiencing. I was totally impressed with the work that was done. I had four gentlemen installing my HVAC units, McKinley, Jeremy, Zachary, H, and Zachary S. These guys were kind and courteous. I’m not even sure they ever took a lunch break. I would highly recommend same-day air repair. Great job thank you.

I was very pleased with Same Day Air Repair. The lead technician who visited (Trequan) was absolutely fantastic, highly experienced, and was able to answer my (many) questions about our current HVAC set-up, when to consider upgrading, and providing options for doing so. But there was no “hard salesman” stuff, just very good info. 2 thumbs up and 5 stars from this happy customer!

We had a dreadful, not cooling issue with our AC middle of the summer…worst possible thing that could happen. We called Same Day Air Repair. They were super empathetic about our situation. Got us on their schedule, kept in touch with us. Let us know when we were next in line then the tech even us called when he was in route. Christian showed up on time was super friendly, knowledgeable got us up and running in no time. It was so quick. I am so happy with their service. If we ever have another issue, I am requesting Christian. He was in and out in no time. I highly recommend Same Day Air Repair. They made this very hot stressful situation so simple.
