We had a leak in one of the pipes used for condensation drainage (in the crawl space above the ceiling). I was able to get someone to come out and repair it the next day. I was notified when the technician was on his way. Felipe arrived on time, got the job done, was courteous and professional the entire time.

Had them out to install A/C 6 years ago. Now 20 year old furnace has to be replaced. Rudy diagnosed the problem and quoted me several options explaining each in detail, including a repair option. A+ service every time.

We're sad to leave this review, as our overall experience with American HVAC was a fairly good one in terms of the installation and functionality of the system. Unfortunately American HVAC moved forward with this installation without pulling a building permit, and they did not disclose this to us. Our contract with American HVAC was inclusive of them pulling the building permit and overseeing all inspections and receiving final approval upon project completion. It was only discovered after the installation was complete that no permit had been pulled and only when we inquired about inspections and finalization of the permit. We've been trying to resolve this matter with them for nearly 6 months now and they have been completely unresponsive to us since October.

I scheduled a maintenance call for my A/C unit and furnace since it's been 15 years since I moved in and I read somewhere that you should have it looked at every other year so I knew I was overdue. I called around and liked American HVAC because they picked up right away and scheduled me into a one hour time slot I was rather pleasantly surprised when the technician showed up exactly on time and spent his time carefully inspecting the units and gave me some good options to either replace parts, replace the unit or just wait. I thought the advice was very fair and objective because he told me the risks and costs involved with each. I have already and would again recommend them just because of their honesty and transparency. You definitely don't get that with other companies.

I’ve been having a problem with my furnace, and Rudy came to assess the problem. He was friendly and explained what was going on in a way that I could understand. I would happily recommend American HVAC to anyone who is having issues with their furnace!

I have a client with a newborn in their home and the heater was not working properly. Given the cold mornings I was especially concerned! After two other heating and air-conditioning companies had booked a service call with me, and not showing up,… American HVAC responded to my call, within 24 hours without the home to do an assessment and within the next 24 hours, problem solved!!! Not only did they do an outstanding job, Brian Pepitone of American HVAC was extremely responsive and professional. Their rates were extremely fair and the job got done promptly! I will absolutely call the company the next time I have any heating and air-conditioning issues on any of my properties! They are the best!

Response time is amazing. They had someone come out the same morning I called them. Rudy came out to take a look at our AC unit. We couldn’t be happier with his work and this company. We highly recommend them!

Cuinn and the group were professional and efficient in the replacement of my furnace with a heat pump. The job was completed in one day. And Cuinn Hamm has been extremely supportive helping me obtain an energy rebate for the new unit.
All in all a very good experience.

Edited May 2023. I need to revise my positive review of American HVAC. I have had nothing but problems with the entire heating and air conditioning system they installed in August 2022. First, the heating system wasn't working. They blamed airflow in the ducting in my house, and I paid them another several thousand dollars to increase airflow. The heater works after this, but it took about 6 visits across two technicians to get here, and I've had to adjust my schedule each time to accomodate their technicians. Now, the heater works but the AC doesn't. I have no faith in this company, and continue to pour my time and money into their visits, only to repeatedly have them fix one part of my HVAC system while breaking another. Save your time and go with someone else.

Technician , Rudy was amazing, knowledgable and repaired the problem. Very impressed. This was during the heat wave.

My split level AC stopped working during the record high temps of 110 degrees. I have a 4 story 3300 sqft home with 3 levels occupied by renters and live on the top floor with my cat- the need to get it repaired was dire as not only was my bedroom 95 degrees but I had renters breathing down my neck. American HVAC was able to get me on schedule in next 48 hours-most everyone else was booked a week out despite my pleas.
Felipe was on time, and quickly diagnosed my issue as a blown circuit and some crossed wires. I was super relieved to have the issue fixed for a few hundred bucks, including the 140 service fee.
I know some people have mixed reviews on a service fee, but in my experience you can’t expect quality work for free. Prior to finding this company I had another HVAC tech out to my property (for a free estimate). This guy took one look at my unit and without running diagnosistics insisted I needed a brand new system as the one the builder had put in was not capable of cooling my large home.

We're very happy with the service today from Paul Diaz of American HVAC. (Less satisfied with the installation from early 2020, but that's for another review.) Paul was scheduled to provide routine maintenance on our HVAC. He called about 30 minutes before arriving to give us a head's up. He was very polite and professional, explained what he was going to do, did not seem rushed and was careful to not do any damage in disassembling and reassembling the cabinet of our system. I pointed out to him how a condensate drain tube was being pinched as it made a turn, and he helped to fix it. He showed me how to remove and replace the filter, and advised me to order new ones from Amazon.

Felipe was amazing. Communicated the issue clearly and how he was going to address the problem I was facing. Also took the time to investigate other ways of improving my HVAC system in a safe manner. Even though he ran late due to the heat wave, he stayed late to ensure I was well taken care of. Knowledgeable and great customer service!

I’ve used American HVAC for all of my HVAC maintenance and repairs since moving to the South Bay 3 years ago. They are always on time, friendly and thorough. I’ve needed a few minor repairs here and there which have all gone smoothly. I really like that they call to schedule my annual maintenance (with no sales pressure) so I can take that item off my to-do list. My most recent technician was Felipe and he was fantastic!

Had a good experience for a basic maintenance appointment for a 20 year old furnace at a house we just bought. They had availability within 48 hours. The tech was knowledgeable and helpful and seemed motivated to do stuff the right way rather than turn a quick buck. He helped us understand how some of the ducting worked in our new house. There was a bit of upselling to buy their annual plan, but nothing too bad.

Today Kirk Was here to fix my air conditioning unit. It was currently running, but not cooling. He first called to confirm his arrival time, which I greatly appreciated! He was extremely professional, friendly, and clearly knowledgeable. He quickly assessed the air-conditioning system, and provided me with options and explanations of each, so that I can make an educated decision. Without asking, he provided photos of what he was doing each step of the way. I greatly appreciate him taking the time to explain the issues, and for putting me at ease regarding my air conditioning needs in the future. When I start to look at upgrading to a newer system, I will absolutely come back to American HVAC. Thank you, Kirk!! :)

My AC went out during the recent heat wave. American sent their supervisor tech and he did a great job showing me the parts, how the system works and replaced what the problem was.
He also provided recommendations for general upkeep, which I did not know about.

I believe the pricing was fair. Not in expensive but it was not in the thousands.

They also provide discounted packages that made the most sense.

His work was neat and clean - he had booties to enter the house.

He finish within 90 minutes - considering he had to diagnose and replace parts.

They also provide a confirmation txt the day before.

I recommend American.

Have been a customer of American HVAC since 2015 with only Exceptional service. Just had Rudy come out and explain what was going on with my system. He was Phenomenal! From showing up at the beginning of the time window, being friendly and professional I knew Rudy was top notch. He explained in detail the mechanics of what was going on in a way that was understandable and insightful. He also mapped out what preventive maintenance is necessary. I felt like I could not only trust Rudy but I had a technician on my side. I highly recommend American HVAC and Rudy!

We received a regular tune up today from American HVAC. The price is good when you book early. The technician Rudy onsite is efficient and professional. He saved us last summer when our AC unit went out, and he did excellent today as well. We are happy to have our furnace running at its best before coldest days come up.

American HVAC, INC installed a new furnace for me and I am very impressed by this company. The Quoting, quick scheduling and completion of the job was all very professional. The crew that was sent out to do the install was top notch too! They kept everything clean organized and the install skills were Professional. They went the extra mile on everything and it showed. I am an old commercial carpenter by trade and I look at all the little details of an install. Every portion of the job had professional skills applied / textbook install. I am very happy I teamed up with this company and I will be referring them when anyone asks me about HVAC service or new installs in the future.
