Mercury Heating and Air have been pleasant to work with, prompt, and efficient. They gave prudent advice on what HVAC options I had available when my existing furnace broke down and how well those options would suit my house and finances. I highly recommend them.

We called Mercury for a broken furnace (on a holiday). Ian came out, inspected the unit and was honest to inform us that our system was very old and that he could repair, but we might want to consider replacing. 2 days later Ian and Jason were out and installed both furnace and AC unit. They connected the new units to our Nest thermostat and even replaced the air filter. Professional, honest, timely! Thank you Mercury!

Mercury Heating and Air is fantastic! After years of contemplating purchasing AC for my East Bay home, I finally decided to make the move last year. I reached out to several companies, each of whom came to my house to check it out and offer a bid. lan was thorough and gave me all the information I needed to make a decision. He spent the most time with me, actually drew a diagram of how the system would work, and gave me info on all the necessary components of the AC unit. He was the only rep that actually came in my house to talk about the entire AC system, including the ducts and the return air vents.

He offered several options/solutions, and he gave me a recommendation on a path forward. His technicians came out the next week, installed the AC, kept me updated as to what they were doing, and alerted me to any road bumps they discovered, as my furnace was 25 years old.

In addition to the this smooth installation experience, Ian also promptly responds to any questions I ask, no matter how obvious the answer might be. And he doesn’t just text me back. He picks up the phone and calls me!

AC works like a charm! Furnace works like a charm! Couldn't be happier!

This is an updated review. You can trust these guys. They just installed a new furnace and air conditioner in my house. For several years they kept the old unit going with service and parts repairs. It finally gave out during this summer heat wave and they were responsive and helpful. They did not try to upsell me on a particular unit but spent the time to review my needs, my finances and come up with the right system for my house based on what I could afford. I am super happy with the new system and with their professional and knowledgeable approach in dealing with clients. Give them a call!

Previous review from 2019: Highly recommend this company! I dealt with Ian this week and he was very knowledgeable, honest and helpful. I initially called Mercury Heating & Air to get an estimate on a new AC unit. I had been told by another company that a replacement was needed. Ian came out and took a lot of time to thoroughly assess the current unit and suggested repairs rather than replacement. The AC works great and the pricing was very fair. These guys have my future business.

I had to replace a 23 year old furnace and AC unit. Mercury was the only vendor that actually went into the attic to look at my duct work, did a thorough measurement of required cubic feet per min for the house and did a great job of educating me on HVAC systems. They were also the only vendor to not try to upsell me on annual maintenance plan. Their bid was very fair and the crew were extremely professional. Highly recommend Ian Mercury. Ian and his crew are great.

We recently upgraded our older system to a new two stage system. I had shopped around for a few quotes, but many installers were larger companies with sales teams and call centers. When I called Mercury, I spoke directly with Ian. He was extremely knowledgable about the equipment. Ian shared why he used certain brands and typical installer mistakes he avoids to improve the longevity of the system. He walked me through a very detailed plan which gave me high confidence in his work. Both Ian & Jason were very friendly, professional, and focused on quality work. I highly recommend their services!

We needed a new heating system install. Based on their excellent reviews I decided to contact Mercury Heating and Repair first. I am so glad I did. They were responsive, on time, professional, hardworking,etc. They were able to finish a very complicated install in one day, even though it meant working an almost 12 hour day. My husband and I were very impressed with this family run business. Ian, Jason and Bryce are awesome. They deserve 5 stars - don’t hesitate to call them for your heating and/or air conditioning needs!

Ian and his team have helped me at three homes now over the past 12 years. He is always punctual and his rates are the best. He doesn't try to upsell me and tells me like it is. Even saved me a bunch of money when another firm recommended a more expensive fix, Ian got it done for a lot less. I highly recommend Ian and Mercury Heating and Air.

I can't say enough good things about Mercury Heating and Air Conditioning. They were able to quickly troubleshoot my AC problem and identify errors made by another company that caused my system to fail. I had 3 other companies look into my AC issues and they all failed to fix the problem. I highly recommend this company. They are extremely knowledgeable and honest. They will take care of you.

Ian was very helpful. He quickly diagnosed and fixed multiple issues with the A/C. On a hot day, our house never got below 78°F, but after his visit, it now gets much cooler, 72°F or lower. One of the bedrooms also never cooled properly due to poorly designed ducts, but he was able to adjust it to improve airflow without requiring expensive fixes. Highly recommend!

Mercury is the best! Jason Corbett owner of the company came to our house to replace our heater and air conditioning, did a fabulous job and takes pride in his work. Does not over charge like other companies. Friendly, honest and we would use him again in a heartbeat!

Jason from Mercury Heating& Air was great. He was professional, polite, and personable—explained everything that was wrong and how he was going to repair it, as well as gave a price breakdown for everything before getting started on the actual repairs, so that I could decide if I wanted to go forward or not. I will 100% be using them again and highly recommend this company.

My AC unit was turning on and blowing air but it wasn’t blowing very cold and the temperature in the house would get stuck and wouldn’t get any cooler. I called another company in town and they said they were going to look at their schedule and they never called me back. I decided to look else where and contacted Jason at Mercury. I called him on a Thursday and he was here Monday or look at the unit. He looked at both returns as well as the unit and everything else. At first I assumed he was only going to be able to look at the unit and would still have to order parts and then come back but that wasn’t the case! He had the part he needed and was able to fix it right then and there. Thank you Jason and Mercury Heating & Air for your prompt service, professional advice and quick installation. I will definitely contact them again for any future issues.

I highly recommend Mercury Heating and Air! We initially scheduled an appointment for an AC tune-up, knowing our 30-year-old beast AC/furnace was way overdue. Ian was incredibly thorough during the inspection and took the time to clearly explain everything. What stood out most was his honesty - he gave us his professional opinion without pressuring us into an immediate replacement. After some consideration, we decided to move forward with a new system. Ian came over the same day to walk us through the available options and explain exactly what the installation would involve. They were able to schedule us for the following week and completed the entire project in just one day. We truly appreciate their fast response, transparency, and outstanding workmanship.

Ian came same day I was telling him how we were quoted for a new unit. He came to look at it and it was a stuck gas valve! He was honest and professional and great communication! He saved us 22,000! Highly recommend!

For unknown reason, our 6 years old HVAC system stopped working so no heater for few cold days until Preston had checked and found that the board of our Furnace needed to be replaced. Also found that the air scrubber cell needed to be replaced too. Preston had shown his expertise and knowledge, All our questions and concerns were addressed.
