This place was great I did not have an appointment helped out got my AC charged back up and sent on my way for half what others are charging around town! Definitely recommend. 5 stars also for how clean his shop is!

Fast and good, but it get what you pay for. Did a great job on my old Dodge truck. Taking my Chev 3500 there for a new muffler. Great place.

I am very pleased with their service, I own Aamco Transmissions of El Cajon. I have had no problems referring customers or bringing our own cars to them. Their jobs look perfect every time and the repair are done just on time.

I had that feeling I was finally in the right hands after about 1min of vetting this shop... 2100mi from home and Ross did a job for me, he swore he would not do again because it's a pain in butt job. 05 town n country from chicago, Jan 2022. Nothing made sense, why was it so inexpensive, how did he instill trust in 45 seconds, how did he finish in a timely fashion with no hiccups.

Visited these guys as they had the best reviews in the area on Google and as I'm only passing through, I wanted someone reliable that I could trust. These guys aced it, if I lived in the San Diego metro area, I'd be using them for all my work. Great service, accommodated me at short notice even though they were clearly busy, did a thorough job, explained what they were doing and why and charged less than they quoted over the phone. I could not be happier and wish them every success with their business.

This place is absolutely amazing! I had to replace a catalytic converter on my girlfriend's car to get it to pass smog. I called Ross up, gave him the info on the car, and let him know we were hoping to keep the cost as low as possible (cats are never cheap to replace). Ross called back within an hour and gave me an estimate nearly $250 cheaper than the other places I'd called.

When we finally took the car in to his shop, he was incredibly polite and explained everything to my girlfriend (not to me), which I really appreciate (it was her car and I respect anyone who doesn't automatically assume that the man is the one who needs to be spoken to). Both his body language and demeanor indicate that he can be trusted and isn't predatory like so many other shops. Turns out there was a delay in getting the job done due to power outage or something like that, but he was quick to call and explain the situation, and even offered to stay late to finish the job if we absolutely needed the car right away (we didn't).

To summarize, this shop is well-priced, its owner is honest, and he doesn't seem to subscribe to the subtle sexist attitudes that seem to pervade the auto-industry. I cannot speak highly enough of this shop.

I've had my 03 F-350s Air Conditioning serviced here 4 years ago. Been blowing cold since. Recently had mufflers installed on my Mustang. Sounds mean! Got me in right away, did a wonderful job at a great price. No nonsense here. They can do trucks, Camry's or hot rods you name it!

Such an amazing,, honest, straight forward shop... which I might say is quite refreshing these days. Ross is awesome! He squeezed in a motorhome that was stranded due to a plugged catalytic converter. Work quality was excellent, pricing was great and he also repaired the generator tailpipe. I highly recommend!! Thanks again.

Ross helped me with a Jeep AC issue I thought I had from some shady repair shop in Alpine. Sure enough the other repair shop was being untruthful. Ross put my Jeep on the machine and everything was good to go, Ross saved me a 650.00 dollar bill the Alpine shop was going to charge.

I took my car here for some exhaust work the other day and these guys were awesome. They got my car in and out in 30 minutes and it sounded amazing. The price was way better than the competition and the service was absolutely amazing. To end it the guys were extremely helpful and very nice. I will definitely come back to these guys in the future.

Ross did a great job replacing my catalytic converter. I have 2 cats, he replaced one and verified the other was working fine, that saved me $$$!! Very honest shop, great pricing, I 100% recommend!

Great place for good work at a great price. Prices for a replacement muffler is about $160. Full system with pro level workmanship starts around $350+ usually done in an hour for a muffler swap. One of the last good honest places with great work you prove it.

Recently got my Subaru back from the dealer for a motor replacement and of course they didn’t refill my AC system, turns out that wasn’t included with my original quote, so I looked for another place local to me that could not only recharge my system but do it the right way. These guys at El Cajon Muffler & AC did all the right procedures for refilling my AC system, they ran a vacuum, checked for leaks and filled my system with the proper amount of R134a to get my AC system blowing cold and consistent. Really appreciate their promptness to get the work done and will for sure be going back for any other work I’ll needed for my family’s other vehicles.

Called to get some work done. And right after i told them, I was immediately denied service without explanation. The guy seemed rude. I was not at all rude. Just was normally asking for a quote. Not sure what happened and a bit confused.
