James was efficent, very knowledgable, professional and such a nice man. We are very happy with his work in replacing our water heater. We will most certainly be working with this company again the next time we need a wayer heater replaced.

Marco and Plumbing The Bay are awesome. They rushed right over, even on a weekend and went the extra mile to make sure I felt comfortable with both him and his work - which is kinda important when water when your plumbing decides to send the water out of your drains instead of in them. I called around for faucet replacements in my garage and each place was either kind of rude or very high in cost. Thank goodness I read reviews on Plumbing the Bay. They came through and provided much needed service and at a fair price.
The person who helped me was very good and professional.

We had our gas shut off by PG&E because of a leak. Israel came out the same day fixed one of the leaks that we had and then came back the next day, as early as possible, and worked diligently to finish up the final leak closure. This was greatly appreciated as I was recovering from surgery and my wife and my daughter live with me and we needed to be able to take warm showers as well as keep the house warm during the winter.

Jose was very competent and super helpful with his knowledge and expertise. He gave me honest assessments and a quote that was surprisingly lower than what I had expected. I would ask for him by name anytime I have some plumbing needs.

These positive reviews cannot be real. We were charged nearly 2x of what we were initially quoted for a simple drain snake (circa $400). Like others have said, they're not timely at all: They also sent a plumber out who had no tools for an assessment and tried to charge us for that. Total rip-off artists.

Juan was very professional and super patient even after having to repeat himself several times. He was willing to explain what he was doing and how he arrived at the conclusion he came to. Joseph and his team were great. We detected a gas leak and PG&E shut off our gas so we needed a timely response. Joseph sent two very professional workers who were able to come over quickly, pressure test the gas to locate several leaks and fix them. They worked long and hard but managed to solve the issue and they remained with me until the PG&E guy reopened our gas. Reasonably priced too. Highly recommended

When I contacted this company they gave me an immediate appt within an hour. Jose was professional, kind, friendly and very knowledgeable. He came in and completed the job within no time. Next time I need plumbing I won’t need to search Yelp I will contact Plumbing the Bay and recommend them to all my friends, neighbors and family.

My recently purchased Alameda home had flooding during the storms in January. It was clear that we needed a sump pump for the ground level area of our home to avoid the water coming inside the next big storm. I called Plumbing the Bay and was able to have someone come out to assess what I needed within the week. The dispatchers were very professional and communicative, letting me know who to expect and when. Ivan came to assess and then later to install my sump pump. He and one other technician showed up the morning of the install, on time and finished ahead of schedule. I am very pleased with the work and the professionalism of everyone I dealt with at Plumbing the Bay. I would highly recommend them!

It does not seem that google reviews are real reviews. I hired these people for issue with our water heater and a technician came out and said issue is fixed. I paid him. No invoice was sent after payment. The issue wasn't fixed either. Called again to schedule another technician who said will come but never showed up and cancelled last minute. Still no invoice after two days of no work. Don't trust these guys. Find someone else.

We purchased a new washer and dryer for my elderly mother. I tried to setup installation prior to purchasing but was told that we just needed a hookup. Imagine our surprise when we were told at delivery that we needed a plumber to change the pipes prior to the “hookup”. I initially contacted Plumbing The Bay but canceled the appointment when my mom’s friends handyman showed up to do the job. As soon as I learned that there were leaks and that he had put a stocking on the back of the dryer to catch the lint I reset the appointment with Plumbing The Bay.

James showed up and what a blessing!! He fixed everything correctly! My mother loved him! She said that he was patient and professional! We are VERY VERY happy with the work!! We will be using Plumbing The Bay for our future plumbing needs…..THANK YOU JAMES!!!

We had a sump pump emergency and finding good plumbers on short notice and a weekend is always a scary undertaking. Hawthorne from Plump the bay was not only knowledgeable and friendly but went out of his way to make sure everything was properly done and even came back Sunday morning to finish some small parts. Always called ahead for arrival time and to give updates. Excellent service all around and
he took care of a faulty installation from the previous plumber. Will definitely use “plump the bay” again…..and ask for Hawthorne Schiff.

Great experience here. Shawn is a very knowledgable and thorough plumber and friendly person. He addressed our needs quickly and smartly and left us in great plumbing shape. I would not hesitate to call again when needed.

I have called them about the clogged toilet. They have subcontracted it to Albert Nahman Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling and could only make an appointment for the next day. So in the meantime my tenants did not have toilet for 24 hours. I guess the 24/7 in their title is for the taking a phone call. I was also not very happy with Albert Nahman Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling, but that would be a separate review.

Michael Garcia was very professional and accommodating. Putting the customer first and going the extra mile to solve the problem. Mike stayed late to find a solution, and came the next day (Saturday) to resolving the plumbing issue through. Prices were a little steep, but Mike was understanding and willing to listen to my feedback.

An excellent company, responsive, fully staying within the original very fair and reasonable estimate in spite of the need to make several visits. Job accomplished, better than I hoped, by personal and helpful workers. Freely explaining and giving advice, I immediately trusted the crew. I was never disappointed. In spite of a part delay held to the original bid for several months, awaiting full completion of the job before even asking for a deposit. These are reliable professional people, extremely decent, honest, friendly and supportive. Such a relief to find them.They will do any next project I may need without hesitation. Thank you all from the office to the workers I am very pleased by our interaction.

Israel was very professional and determined to make sure that we were satisfied with the job he was doing. He made sure to communicate patiently through the entire process. He made sure that I understood everything including the pricing (which was very good) and all of the work that was needed. I highly recommend Plumbing the Bay! This was our first time having them and we will definitely be calling them again in the future. Highly recommended!

Tameka - Alameda Park Apartments

Either the positive reviews for Plumbing The Bay are fraudulent or we were provided very, very different service from everyone else. A few things:

1. We were charged $400 for a drain snake (told that was the standard rate).

2. Their claimed 24-hour service is nonexistent. We were told a plumber would come the same day we called. His arrival was pushed back four times and no one showed up until TWO DAYS later. My roommate and I missed work to be in our unit and we were offered no apology or discount (in fact, the plumber who ultimately showed up at 9:30 pm unannounced threatened to charge us an "overtime rate").

3. The plumber who fixed our drain left a gash in our fiberglass bathtub. He left without telling us about the damage. We're renters and this is coming straight out of our security deposit.

4. I called customer service four times to get our money back to cover the damage. I was promised I'd get a callback but I have heard nothing. I'm considering canceling the credit card transaction at this point.

Hello, I recently hired Plumbing The Bay to replace my water heater and troubleshoot a drain leak. Juan Garcia responded to the call, he called 30 min before arriving, had boot covers on, very knowledgeable and respectful. He gave me a very reasonable quote and was able to do the repairs the same day. Very happy with Plumbing The Bay and their great team.
