I used this company before based on their Google reviews. They sent someone who was relatively informative about my AC and then upsold me on a cleaning. I felt decent enough about the encounter that we called them back a couple of years later. This time I wasn’t home but gave my wife their number. Who they sent spent less than 20 mins total. Quoted my wife $80 over the phone and then didn’t even present change when given $100 bill. They brought along a trainee that was terribly awkward around my wife and then told us our entire HVAC was shot and that just to do the AC would be 20 grand. They also said since the company had recently been sold, she needed to finance this asap to lock in on the price as it would be “skyrocketing” in the next few weeks.

She yelped a second opinion. He offered to diagnose for free. Within a half hour he had found our compressor was out. Within an hour he had replaced it. Charged $200. It’s 100’ in Long Beach today. My house is 73’.

They are 100% family owned and that means something these days. That means you can call and talk to a real person any time of day, Call me old fashioned but I think that's a nice feature.

Their entire staff from the office manager to the installers were polite, and extremely knowledgeable. The owner was kind and patient. My experience was great with Guaranteed Quality Heating & Air. We did a service on our heating and Air-Conditioning in our home. James the manager was very professional on the phone setting up our appointment. Their service charge of $99.00 was reasonable. Filippee or Phil was very professional and very knowledgeable. I am taking the time to write this review to caution consumers about deception from this company.

On May 22, 2023, Joshua Williams, the technician, came out to inspect our A/C unit and our furnace, a Trane SV80, Model TE50660C2 with a 20-year warranty. Both had been working fine and we just wanted a tune up. Joshua took a photo with his cell phone and simply said that the furnace's heat exchanger has a crack in it and there are burns marks too. He said it leaks carbon monoxide (scare tactic) and the furnace needs to be replaced. This was incorrect.

I then called the office and asked for the photo to be emailed to me, which it was. Today, I had another company come out to look at the furnace. They also looked at Guaranteed Quality's photo and made the following evaluation:

Your furnace does not have a crack in the heat exchanger. The photo does not show a crack. There is a line above the heat exchanger and that's merely insulation. Your furnace has a 20-year warranty (that means until 2025) and probably has another 10 years beyond that.

It appears that Guaranteed Quality Heating and Air used a scare tactic to get us to buy a new furnace (Lennox at $6450.00) when our furnace is fine.

Today American Duct Cleaning, Irvine, CA came out to clean our dryer duct. This is the type that snakes with a nasty right angle through the garage. Yikes, it was packed with paper Mache. The guys had to separate it in the middle to unpack it. They also put extra effort into sealing the duct in the utility room. As long as it took them (over two hours) they stuck with the quoted price. I'll call them again.

Dan was very helpful all through the whole experience, from booking, to cleaning. It was very smooth and delivered exactly as promised.

This entire process was so simple and seamless. We called to get a quote, ended up scheduling for Friday since there were no weekends available. They called back and remembered we had requested weekends and filled us in after a cancellation. This was before the service and the service itself was professional, on time, and good quality. We will absolutely be going here again as a repeat customer.

I had first called a company out of a magazine. One guy came out and said he can knock it out in 1 hr. Something didn't seem right...Called American Air Duct and spoke w Dan. He was polite and courteous right from the beginning, explaining exactly what's involved. Once he and his team showed up, I knew this was worth a few bucks more than the 'other guy'. They covered and protected all aspects of the home. Took almost 3 hours for a 2 story 15 vent home. They showed me every step of what they did. Would give 6 stars if possible.

Amazing experience. Super professional and lots of consideration for the home (tarps were put down, technicians wore shoe covers, corners of the walls were protected when in the room). I would 100% recommend their services and will use again in the future.

The guy that answered the phone was very personable and gave me a quote and set me up for service.
Dan came out and walked me through the house and told me what he was going to do.
Step by Step he lead me through the duct cleaning process and showed me the filth he found in the ductwork. What a great company to do business with. I won't ever need to check prices again for this;

I recently read a news article online about how dangerous dirty dryer vents can be. So I hired American Air Duct Cleaning, they were fast with the appointment and were on time. As a single mother of 2 girls, I felt safe letting them into my home. They were quick and efficient with the dryer vent cleaning. They did a superb job! I'm really glad I called them.
