We had Breathable Air Duct Cleaning come out in November 2025 and they did a really great job. The team was extremely professional—they taped everything off before starting and completely cleaned up after themselves when they were done. They did a thorough job vacuuming the entire ductwork system in our house, and they even caught and fixed an issue with our duct return that we had no idea about. Highly recommend them. It was super easy to book, the pricing was fair, and the owner is very nice and professional.

A year ago, Breathable did a great job cleaning my home’s air ducts and installing an upgraded furnace filter. What a difference—fresh indoor air!

Nir Biderman, the owner, is an excellent communicator before, during, and after projects. He keeps in touch with customers to share relevant information, including the timing of furnace filter changes. No matter how often I called with assorted questions, he replied promptly and patiently.

So when Nir contacted former clients to say he had acquired a limited number of mini-split ductless units, I reached out immediately.

He arrived the next day to assess my home (in Oakland). The pricing was better than expected, and he also let me know about an available tax credit for the 2025 tax year. After discussing three options, we decided on individual units for two second-story bedrooms—a ductless heat pump system installation that finally solved our long-running “should we do AC?” debate.

After procrastinating for years about air conditioning during East Bay heat waves, this was the chance to go for it.

The crew did a fantastic job—not only with their hard work, but also with respect for the property (shoe covers indoors, great clean-up inside and out) and a clear explanation of how to use the units for heating and cooling.

certain things like paying taxes, root canals and colonoscopies come with being a grown up. every adult has had to replace a furnace or air conditioning system. last week my heat wouldn’t come on and a repairman came out to fix it. he told me the unit needs to be replaced to the tune of $6,500. being a trusting individual, as i lowered my trousers so they could shove the hoses up my butt, i called Harry Clark for a second opinion. Harry agreed the furnace is old and will eventually need to be replaced but the reason it wasn’t working is the thermostat. he changed the filter and replaced the thermostat. thanks to Harry Clark, i feel like a kid again.

Harry Clark did an excellent job of replacing my aging gas furnace with a hybrid heat pump. They also provided me with zoning which I didn't have before. Everything is working great and they did a good job.

We took advantage of the free design services for a heat pump heating system offered by QuitCarbon. After completing their home assessment questionnaire they gave us sizing, pricing and rebate information. QC referred us to Harry Clark Heating and Air Conditioning for a complete upgrade to replace our gas furnace. HC owner Don Marshall spent an hour and a half assessing the existing heating system in our 1908 home, answering all our questions and providing a detailed quote for a two zone system the next day.

After reviewing the quote with QuitCarbon, we decided the price was competitive and chose not to get other bids. I should mention that I’m a licensed mechanical engineer and have lots of experience working with contractors. Armando Hernandez and his crew completed the install in one week and we were up and running on day 5. The quality of the workmanship was excellent. Armando addressed my many questions and was a pleasure to work with. There was an issue with a defective part in the air handler. The project manager Matt Schwoyer was able to resolve it with their supplier, and the part was replaced the following week.

Everyone at Harry Clark was professional and responsive throughout the whole project. We are pleasantly surprised with the improved and consistent comfort level in our home and would recommend HC to anyone considering a heat pump retrofit.

We contacted 3 AC companies for the problem with our AC not generating cold air during a long period of heat waves in the Bay Area in June/July 2024. The first 2 AC companies recommended to replace for a new condenser. I called Atlas Heating and Air Conditioning (the third company) for a quote for the condenser replacement. Nick from Atlas came and gave me a quote for replacement after a home visit. But Nick suggested me to call Atlas for a technician to come out/check if the condenser can be repaired and would save a lot of money (Nick didn't have to make this suggestion - this tells me Atlas is not just out there to make more money and truly cared about customer services/long term relationship). Ian Bray from Atlas came and told me that the condenser indeed was fixable and he did a great job in doing the repairment in a subsequent visit. Nick and Ian saved me over $8,000 (from replacement to repairment of the condenser). Atlas is a company that has integrity and the people who work for the company carry that integrity with them. Both Nick and Ian are super nice and professional. They are my go to AC & Heating company from now on. Thank you Atlas!
