I’m really impressed with the service I received. The team was quick to respond, kept me updated throughout the process, and made sure every part of the chimney cleaning was done right. Our chimney in Richmond is quite old and needed extra care, but they handled it with skill and attention to detail. It’s rare to find a chimney sweep company you can fully trust, but we definitely do now. We’re grateful for their hard work and will be using their services from now on.

I recently had my chimney and fireplace inspected and cleaned in Richmond, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience! Carson discovered a serious issue—a loose gas line connection and an improperly sealed fireplace that could have caused some real problems if left unfixed, especially since we use our fireplace so often. Thanks to his careful work, he was able to pinpoint the cause behind the occasional gas smell we’d noticed and fix it right away. I really appreciated how Carson took the time to explain the situation to me, making sure I understood the risks and what needed to be done. I hired this company to do the work on my house that was recommended in a home energy assessment completed last year.

Initially Alex Minaboo, the owner, came to look the job over and in that visit recommended replacing all the heating ducts in the house. He tried to sell me a heat pump system which I did not want to do since the existing furnace is only three years old. There was nothing in the home energy assessment report indicating I needed to replace the furnace or the ducts. A few weeks later, the foreman (I think that is his role) came by to assess the job, and said he did not think the ducts needed to be replaced as they were still quite new. I opted to not replace the ducts but to proceed with the air sealing of the heating system that was recommended in the home energy assessment. Alex later said the air sealing could cause a problem for the furnace, which he said was too large for this size house. He suggested that adding an additional heat register might mitigate a potential problem with rapid cycling, and I opted to do this.

In the course of All Things Good sealing the heating ducts and adding the new register, the blower on the furnace stopped working. Alex deflected and denied responsibility for his company causing the problem, disparaged another company that had installed the furnace, and argued that his company could not be held responsible for damages when something breaks in an old house while they are working on it, referring me to a clause in their contract. To fix the furnace, All Things Good charged $1200.00 in labor costs (for a job that took no more than 2 hours on site) and the blower was about $700 more). I have always thought “if you break it, you fix it” and I was floored by how this was being handled, but since I do not know HVAC systems and could not in good conscience argue that I was certain the breakdown was caused by their work, I proposed we split the bill for fixing the furnace. My offer was refused. Alex then had the gall to argue he was already giving me a discount on labor costs, and threatened that if I did not pay he would put a lien on my house.

I paid the bill because it was not worth my time to fight with All Things Good. I see positive reviews here but my own experience was very unsatisfactory and I will certainly never use this company again.

Alex and his team did phenomenal work on my house! Alex did an excellent job managing a complicated project, and he and his team obviously care about the quality of their work. They are also really respectful - they always give notice on when they are coming over, make sure everything is cleaned up at the end of the day, etc. On top of that, their prices are also quite reasonable.

This review is long overdue, BUT I wanted to wait a significant amount of time to see how all of their work is sustained over a year and, personally, I think they should change their business name to All Things Great, because that's exactly what you get from this company. From the very beginning, Alex was courteous, knowledgeable and honest with his estimates and timelines providing quality suggestions that were cost-effective AND efficient. My wife and I tasked his team with many upgrades to our small craftsman home including new exterior windows, ceiling and floor insulation, chimney removal, electrical wiring, and wall removal. While the electrical work was subcontracted to a seperate company, everything else was handled by Alex and his crew with precision, care and came in under budget on most of the projects! (BONUS) It's been a year and everything is just a good as it was when it was first installed/upgraded. My wife and I couldn't be happier with All Things Good (GREAT) and give Alex and his crew our highest recommendation. We will definitely be using them for future projects!

We worked with AllThingsGood to get our furnace replaced with a heat pump and to make other energy improvements, like insulation and new ducts. We love our new heating and air conditioning system. The only drawback was a little slowness during the initial process of doing the energy audit (which was with a separate company they work with), but everything was speedy after that.

All Things Good was very professional and worked without disruption. Having the drafts properly sealed and the insulation kept us warm in the winter and is keeping us cool in the summer.

We hired All Things Good to replace our aging furnace, install new AC, and replace the insulation in our attic. Alex and Ricardo were very clear and professional in their communications. The job was finished early and the results look good. I noticed that they took the time to fix a couple things that would not be visible to us once the job was completed, which shows their diligence.

This was one year ago and everything is still working great. The only issue I had is that we were told that some pipe work would be installed differently than it was, which is a little unsightly, but they assured me that this could be revisited in the future if we ever wanted to move it. I would definitely hire All Things Good again.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. ATG worked with us to figure out exactly what to do and weren’t too pushy about anything. Ricardo and his crew were very professional and tidy during construction. Best of all our house is more comfortable than before and we pay less overall on our energy bill.

I worked with Alex and Ricardo and team in 2023 to install a new hvac system (heat pump) and do drill and fill insulation in our Richmond home. The experience could not have been better.

The crew was conscientious, efficient and friendly onsite, their bid was fair—-honestly better than most, and they really walked us through the process with patience and a knack for explaining the options.

Finally, and most importantly, their work has had an unmistakeable and positive impact on the liveability and comfort of our home. The AC works great on hot days and the heat works when it’s cold…and the truth is we need both much less than we used to because of the insulation work.

Had a great experience with All Things Good last fall/winter. We replaced our old gas furnace with a heat pump, got new ductwork, and insulated our walls. The work was done well, the sales team was great to work with, and the house is much more comfortable in winter and summer. The heat pump and the insulation were done as separate jobs a few months apart last fall/winter.

I had All Things Good help me with insulating and air sealing my home, and their whole team was great! Everyone I interacted with throughout the entire process was kind, reasonable, and easy to work with. They were prompt, I knew exactly what to expect, and they were happy to make adjustments on price when appropriate. I highly recommend them, and would definitely work with them again.
