I should've listened to my wife and called a professional before tackling our bathroom sink!

I've had luck using Drain-O, boiling water with vinegar, or opening the drain and using a small snake to remove hair in the past, but none of these tricks worked for our bathroom sink over the last few weeks – it was still draining super slow and continued to get backed up worse.

I found Lifesaver Plumbing through a referral and called them on Thursday. George was very responsive and made himself available when I was home from work in SF the next day. He cleared the drain without making a mess, which I really appreciated and even gave me some tips how to prevent it in the future. It’s a few days later now and it hasn’t backed up since. I'll definitely be referring Lifesaver to friends and using them again.

Amazing and quick service thanks to George Nyquist! We had a sudden leak in a pipe in our sunroom in the morning and was able to get it fixed by mid-afternoon. Thanks so much!

He fixed the problem immediately and never charged me because it was only by pushing a button which may seem no chargeable but I would never have found the problem. I will ALWAYS call him again. Yesterday evening I was hearing a loud clicking noise coming from my toilet and something that sounded like a lot of water. I booked an appointment for the next morning! I was so happy to see availability last minute.
George called me when he was 15-20 mins away. He handed me his card before walking in and put on shoe covers. I told him about the problem and he asked if I had seen the notice from the city on my door. I had not seen it but even if I had they didn’t say anything about plumbing being impacted. He let me know how what I’m hearing is a symptom from the water meter being upgraded and the sound will go away. He did not charge me for coming out and diagnosing the issue. I was really appreciative and he easily could’ve charged for his assessment. I will definitely call him for any future plumbing issues.

I highly recommend George! This guy knows his way around old buildings and challenging clogs. And he's a great communicator--walking me through every step of the process along the way. I paid two other plumbers to come in and try to fix a clogged drain, and both failed, leaving my tub a mess. George came in, was upfront about the risks and options, and successful unclogged the drain using the same technique the first two plumbers failed at.

George may charge a little more than others, but it is WELL WORTH IT. It would have saved me money in the long run starting with him. He's also just a really nice guy, and clearly an expert at his craft.

I usually don't write review, but it's so hard to find a good plumber that I wanted to make sure others know. Thanks George!

I found Lifesaver Plumbing on Yelp when I had a leak in my shower. George called back right away and scheduled a time to come over to fix the leak. The job turned out to be a little more difficult than I realized due to very old fixtures and pipes. George did a full diagnostic review of the pipes and faucets in and around the house and identified some serious issues that needed to be addressed. We made a list and are working through it in order of disaster potential. I had active water leaks and he found a gas leak that I didn’t know about. George is very knowledgeable and personable. I am so happy that I have found a plumber that I trust!

14 November - George to the rescue! Our old fridge had a copper water line for the icemaker. New fridge needs a braided stainless steel line. George here within an hour to remedy the situation. Five star service with a smile!

George did a first-rate job altering our drain lines to accommodate a new washer and dryer in a very limited space. We got the estimate on Thursday evening, and the work was completed on Saturday. George is a small business owner/operator, not a franchisee. We look forward to working with him in the future.

He not only addressed the priority repairs but checked all the plumbing in the house and provided very useful notes on other issues that might need to be addressed. He explained everything he did and provided repair options for me to chose from. I would definitely use him again and recommend him.

Loved the toilet initially and do so now. Revised my review after easy reconnect with Lifesaver Plumber. I was offered a full refund if needed, time to examine/clean my drains and a walk thru exit. I have a water leak under my kitchen sink. I had already contacted my home warranty about the issue. But I had my own suspicions about what they told me. I got another opinion from Life Saver Plumbing. George came out and took a look. And come to find out the leak wasn’t from the faucet. It was from an old P-Trap. I’m so glad George was able to discover the real problem. George was very efficient and professional with his findings. I really appreciate a good Plumber that knows their job and can tell you exactly what needs to be done. Thanks again George.

We had a mystery leak in our home. George answered a late evening phone call, listened carefully to the story, and made an appointment to come out at noon the next day. He arrived on time, spent about 45 minutes conducting a very thorough investigation, including going into our crawl space, and determined that there was no plumbing issue. George explained his reasoning in detail and gave recommendations on how to proceed to determine the source of the leak. Amazingly, he did not charge us for the visit since there were no plumbing issues for him to address, despite the time and work he put in. We will certainly call him again should we have any (actual) plumbing issues that need to be addressed.

I hired George at Lifesaver Plumbing to finish a challenging job in progress. I had multiple sewer pipes broken under a thick slab with unevenly compacted soil. This was a job that many groups turned down (one stopped working on it) but he came in with an excellent plan to get everything connected and secured. There were parts of the plan that involved expertise that his team did not directly handle, but he brought in those experts and had referrals for everything else. Within 3 days he had everything squared away, even finding and fixing additional broken elements that no one had previously noted. Even better, he helped me replace the fixtures in the affected bathroom so that after my long (6 month) journey, I finally have a working bathroom. I couldn’t be happier, and have already passed along his information to a friend. George is truly a professional… courteous, thorough, and knowledgeable. I would enthusiastically recommend him to anyone!
