Boris saved my apartment investment! Bay Area Plumbing took my call at 10:30 PM at night and dispatched Boris to Inner Richmond, San Francisco. He showed up within 10 minutes! Leo at Bat Area Plumbing totally saved us. On a Monday night, we discovered water streaming steadily into our garage through the roof. Leo was there first thing Tuesday morning, cut away the ruined drywall, found an old pipe that had ruptured with age, and replaced it. He coordinated with a contractor (CA Bear Construction, who are also great) to come back and patch the drywall once it had had a chance to dry. Thanks, Leo!

Bay Area Plumbing is one of the last honest independent owned businesses. We've been using them since ~2018 when our landlords asked us to find a plumber for some emergency issues. Now that we have our own place - we still call Boris when we have an issue.

This time our aging water heater was going out on us and he offered us two options. Replace a part or replace the heater. Considering that the heater was over 10+ years old - we didn't want to run the risk of throwing money out the window to be back at the same place in a few months.

Boris was back the next day with a brand new water heater installed in ~2.5hours. The installation was clean and professional. Now we're ideally set up for the next 10+ years without issues and a fair price.

While we always appreciate Boris' work - we hope we don't have to see him anytime soon...

We had a difficult job installing a new toto toilet and Lutz did an excellent job with a difficult situation. The contractors who installed the previous one definitely cut some corners, but now I feel safe and clean with my Japanese toilet from Lutz.

Edwin came to our house to swap out our shower valve, he did an excellent job worked quickly cleanly was very professional. He even wore booties when walking in the house to keep our house clean! Would recommend.

Lutz Plumbing recently repaired my Thermasol Steam generator and they did a great job. Everything from diagnosing the issue, to working w/ Thermasol on the warranty to installing the new unit went very smoothly and Vern was fantastic on site. He was extremely professional, provided a lot of great information and did great work. Highly recommend this company for your steam shower needs.

I had a wall hung toilet that was very badly installed. I asked several plumbers about fixing it and they all declined. The last one suggested I call Lutz. Phil at Lutz came out promptly and said he thought they could fix it. Plumber Jacob came out on schedule and redid the in wall installation solidly and at the correct height. We fixed the wall and Jacob came out the next week and hung the toilet. We had been worried that our wall would not hold the hung toilet, but with Jacob’s installation and instructions on fixing the wall, it is great. A+!

My introduction to Lutz Plumbing was for an inspection of a jacuzzi tub. They arrived on time, were prepared for the appointment, knowledgeable about the tub, and made the appropriate decision for me and the manufacturer. On a follow up call for service, 2 years later, they provided excellent service by intervening in my behalf with the manufacturer. They determined that my tub was still under warranty (the manufacturer said it wasn’t), instructed me on getting a refund for the part I purchased (and didn’t need) and, instructed me how to get help in fixing my tub. This all happened during the pandemic.

Phil and Lutz Plumbing were unresponsive, unreliable, and careless. Follow-up calls on a separate issue were handled poorly and lacked helpful information. We cannot recommend their services.

I was he tting ready to go on vacation when all of a sudden I noticed that there was water under my sink. The garbage disposal was leaking like a sieve. I totally freaked out and called Lutz plumbing. They arrived within hours, had all the parts they needed, and put in the new garbage disposal incredibly fast. Unfortunately, it was at this time that they discovered that the pipe coming out from the wall was leaking. This was not gonna be easy to fix but tPhil was so knowledgeable and professional that the next day he solved the problem and everything was in working order once again. I can’t tell you how grateful I am. I was also grateful that the price was incredibly reasonable. Another plumber would’ve cost me a mint. Lutz is the best.

I highly recommend Lutz Plumbing. I learned of the company through the recommendation of a friend. I've worked with Lutz Plumbing several times over the past 10 years or so, and they've always done solid work. In the most recent experience, plumbing work was needed on a shower in the condo above mine. The neighbor requested access through the ceiling of my condo to their shower's plumbing. Phil of Lutz Plumbing coordinated the work, involving plumbing and tile work for the neighbor's shower, and sheetrock work (open up access holes in ceiling, close access holes, patch and paint) for my condo. Phil helped in identifying resources, too, and recommended Faraci Painting for the sheetrock work in my unit. Jacob of Lutz Plumbing effectively led the plumbing repair work, dealing with some surprises along the way. Phil provided excellent communication and coordination through the entire project. All's well now, and though I don't look forward to needing plumbing work in the future, when I inevitably do, I'll reach out to Lutz Plumbing.

Working with Lisanne and Phil at Lutz Plumbing to install two smart toilets was a great pleasure. I sent a showroom appointment request on a Thursday, got a response from Lisanne within a couple of hours to confirm our visit for the next day.

Lisanne, the Senior Design Consultant, was friendly, professional, and fun. She answered lots of our questions regarding the toilets we had in mind, explained the next steps, helped coordinate with their service department to set up a site visit appointment. Within a few hours after we left the showroom, we received quotes on the product and had an appointment confirmed for the following Friday.

Phil and I coordinated over the phone and email to ensure all parties (plumber, electrician, and painter) were present at the site visit because we needed to add electrical outlets and relocate the water outlets. Phil was in charge of outlining a clear plan to make sure everyone was on the same page and fully understood the workstream.

On the same Friday afternoon of the site visit, we learned that our building planned a water shut-off for the following Tuesday. We were hoping to tap into that opportunity to have the installation completed so we didn't have to request another building water shut off. Lisanne and Phil went above and beyond to help us secure the order and delivery of the toilets, and got us on their schedule with such a short notice. Almost miracally, our electrician and painter were also able to fit us in their schedule.

Because of Phil and Lisanne's coordination and teamwork, the installation went super smoothly. By Wednesday, we had two beautiful smart toilets installed perfectly, and we couldn't be happier.

Lisanne and Phil take pride in their work and it shows. We highly recommend Lutz Plumbing and look forward to working with them in future projects.

Phil replaced a 10+ year old Mr. Steam unit with the latest version. The new unit unfortunately was faulty and had to be replaced after a few weeks, but this was not his fault. Phil went above and beyond to fix the manufacturer issue by ordering the replacement and installing the new unit without any stress put on us. We are beyond thrilled to have a new unit that now works flawlessly thanks to him.

Our new bathroom had a Kohler new model toilet. It began running. After trying to fix it myself, then getting the contractor to try with some replaced Kohler parts unsuccessfully, I got The Lutz contact from the pros at Kohler. Lutz took over the issue from the Build.com (Ferguson) people. When the right parts arrived Brandon from Lutz Plumbing arrived at the appointment time. He was polite and knew what he had to do. It wasn’t easy but he fixed it and left me his number to confirm that there was no further issue. He called later to check up. Great service. Polite clean and professional. Lutz is now our go to plumbing company. I highly recommend them.

Lutz takes the apprehension and guesswork out of calling a plumber. They're transparent in their explanation of scope of work, timely in their responses, and extremely knowledgeable about their craft and products. Throughout the past 30 years Lutz has been our choice for plumbing repairs and updates in our condominium. Most recently they completed bathroom updates that included new shower installation and new toilet. They also just replaced an outdated furnace in our central heating system. In addition to their high quality work, they have their own show room that provides excellent guidance in appropriate product selection. The biggest advantage to this is that the team in the field is well versed in the products available in the showroom allowing for seamless installation when items are being replaced.
Pricewise, Lutz might not be the lowest bidders, but for our household, they have been one of the best values in terms of quality workmanship, timely service, and open communication. We plan to keep using them for all our plumbing needs.

I bought a Kohler intelligent toilet and it stopped flushing after couple of months. Called Kohler and they recommended Lutz plumbing. The whole process was very seamless. Philip was very easy to work with and has excellent communication. Jacob, the technician, was very friendly and pleasant. More importantly, he got the work done efficiently. One of the best plumbing companies I’ve ever dealt with. I highly recommend them!!!!
