Lutz replaced a defective Kohler thermostatic valve for me. They were recommended by Kohler as the most knowledgeable provider in the San Francisco Bay Area. Their tech Jacob was super professional and has great communication. I'm very pleased with this company and will be using them again.

I’ve had 2 experiences with Lutz Plumbing, both times with their Service Technician, Isaac. Isaac is always extremely courteous and professional. He arrives on time, cleans up his work area before leaving, and has always provided tips/maintenance advice before leaving.

It goes without saying, he successfully completed both jobs that he has done for us. (Replace an old water heater and fix a couple toilet issues.)

Yesterday, my toilet went on the forever flush starting at 4am. The property management contacted Lutz and Ricardo came out all the way from El Cerrito to get the job done.
He was respectful, polite, and efficient, explaining the job he was doing as he assessed the situation, went to the San Francisco shop to get the needed materials, and got everything working smoothly.

After a call to Lutz Plumbing, they returned my call to provide not only tips and tricks for onsite problem solving but recommended next steps and processes to take care of the problem. Each step of the way their professionalism, expertise, and quickness was top notch. Highly recommended.

I've had Phil and Vern out on multiple occasions to work on our steam shower (the steam manufacturer contracts with Lutz for service and warrantee issues) and they're the best. Their communication and dedication really stand out. They take pride in their work and in making their customers happy. For example whenever they come out for a repair, Phil will text me a few days after just to check in on the work and how the steam device is doing. If there are any issues they're quick to work with the manufacturer directly to troubleshoot and get to the bottom of things. I highly recommend them.

Our house came with a Duravit toilet installed. They're unusual and not many plumbers service them. When the flush mechanism stopped working, we were told by two plumbers that we were going to need to completely replace the whole toilet, which would have involved destroying an entire part of our bathroom in the process. We thankfully called Lutz and they came out, diagnosed the problem, found and ordered the parts, and installed them, saving us $1000s of dollars in unnecessary work and a lot of hassle. Daniel was amazing and was so thorough and determined to help. I can't thank him and the Lutz team enough!

Lutz Plumbing helped me with some warranty repair work on our Master bathroom toilet. They were at my home more than 6 times as the manufacturer couldn’t figure out the issue. Phil and Jacob always showed up on time with a smile on their face eager to help. They solved the problem and are highly recommended.

Issac and Phil were phenomenal in how they handled our issues relating to the Kohler Anthem products. I had called multiple plumbing companies for help and initially they all said they could help. But, when I spoke with Phil it was IMMEDIATELY clear that he was the only and most knowledgeable person when it came to these parts. I went with Phil and couldn’t be happier. Phil sent over Issac who was amazing in his own right. He was timely, professional, and personable. More than that, he knew what he was doing.

If I could offer 10 stars I would. We have an out-of-date Neorest toilet that is no longer eligible for Toto repair. It needed some parts replaced. These are fabulous toilets well worth repairing. Toto directed us to Lutz Plumbing. Phil was able to find parts for us and went out of his way to accommodate us getting our toilet back in service. He even did a rush one day service at no extra charge. The care and above and beyond response to giving us more years with our Neorest is wonderful. I can enthusiastically recommend Lutz Plumbing.

Lutz plumbing is the best. I had 3 plumbers try to fix my shower before calling Lutz. We have a high end shower with Kohler parts that wasn’t heating properly. Isaac came and handled the situation with total friendly professionalism. My family all just took HOT showers and we are so grateful!

I cannot say enough positive things about Lutz Plumbing! Long story short, my repair need was fairly urgent and I must have contacted 3-4 plumbers before I found Lutz. It was super depressing... All of them seemed totally unconcerned and said they'd fit me in when they could (Often 2-3 weeks later). I get that everyone is busy but it costs nothing to at least act like you care. Then I found Phil and Lutz Plumbing. He not only took the time to fully understand my issue but also offered his professional opinion around a potential diagnosis and possible solutions. He then reached back out to me later that day to say he would fit me in for an appointment just a few days later. Jacob, the plumber who showed up, was equally professional, knowledgeable, and demonstrated sincere concern. He fixed the problem quickly which was a huge relief. I recently faced a rather unique plumbing challenge when my 4-year-old managed to flush the remote control for our Kohler Intelligent Toilet, causing it to get stuck and rendering the toilet unusable. In a bit of a panic, we initially called another plumbing service. Unfortunately, the two technicians who arrived were at a loss on how to properly remove the intelligent toilet without causing further damage. This experience only added to our stress, as time was of the essence.

Realizing we needed someone with specific expertise, we turned to Lutz Plumbing, and that's when Danny came into the picture. It was immediately apparent that Danny was in a league of his own. Unlike our first attempt with the other company, Danny demonstrated a profound understanding of intelligent toilet systems. He skillfully removed the toilet, retrieved the remote, and had everything back in perfect working order in no time. His efficiency was a breath of fresh air, especially knowing that the service was billed by the hour.

But Danny's dedication to exceptional service didn't stop with just fixing the initial problem. After ensuring our toilet was functioning again, he proactively checked our water pressure to make sure everything else was in order. This level of thoroughness and care was not something we expected, but it was certainly appreciated.

As real estate professionals, we've dealt with our share of plumbing companies. Phil, owner of Lutz Plumbing and his technician, Isaac, are one in a million.

We were first introduced to Lutz for plumbing service for our own home - we were serviced by Lutz since they are the Bay Area's Kohler authorized service representative (apparently for the last 20 years). Isaac serviced our Kohler plumbing issues and we were very impressed with his timeliness, professional courtesy and excellent customer service - he even took the time to educate us of our Kohler products' additional functions and maintenance. One of our pet peeves when dealing with any type of contractors/technicians in our own home is whether they will leave a mess after their service - Isaac was mindful to leave his work space spotless, without our request.

I had a very positive experience with the team @ Lutz Plumbing. They helped me out with an emergency water heater replacement. It was all settled within a few hours of my initial call, with no headache. The technicians were professional and did excellent work. I would highly recommend Lutz for your SF plumbing needs!

Amazing service from Phil at Lutz. Water heater went out on Memorial Day weekend. He texted me Friday night with suggestions and then showed up early Saturday to troubleshoot himself. Then after nothing worked he followed-up with the manufacturer and came BACK on Saturday to fix it. Couldn’t rate them highly enough.

I recently had an exceptional experience with Lutz Plumbing in San Francisco. They repaired my Mr. Steam unit with utmost professionalism and expertise. The team went above and beyond by enhancing the safety of my plumbing system. They installed a new copper pipe, replacing the braided one, which they identified as a safety concern due to the high heat it was subjected to. We had an amazing experience with Lutz plumbing. Ricardo was our technician and did an amazing job. Within just a few minutes he was able to identify the problem and had all the parts he needed to fix us up.

We found Phil and Lutz Plumbing to be responsive, honest and meticulous. They were able to repair our steam shower the same day they came over. Our follow up calls on an unrelated steam shower issue were handled professionally and were very informative. We highly recommend Phil and Lutz Plumbing.

Phil knows his stuff. He got my issue resolved with Kohler with great customer service. One of his employees, Ricardo, is a talented plumber and is very courteous and understanding of how to act whilst in a client’s residence.

They are the only Kohler recommended service in SF, but they never answered the phone once in dozens of calls and voicemails, and just stopped answering my emails after a few days.
Can’t
