One night, our bathtub faucet broke-- on. We could not turn it off. We shut off water to the house, and immediately called Genteel. Within a few minutes, we had an appointment booked for the next morning. The repair ended up being a pretty big one, but Genteel provided fantastic service: their work was prompt and the technicians were highly communicative, and helpful. The technicians were careful of our home, always wearing booties and cleaning up after themselves. They explained our options clearly, and helped us identify the best path forward, including helping pick new fixtures that were both high quality and high design. They quoted fair prices that reflected their high-quality work, and got the job done without surprises.

I called them to fix some plumbing issues with our clothes washer (both the hot and cold lines were coming from the hot water heater). They sorted out the problem but when they went to turn the main back on, it wouldn’t come on. Turns out the main line under the driveway was deteriorating.

So they pulled all their available crew to come to our house to do an emergency main line replacement, which involved digging a trench in the driveway. Mind you it’s mid-day already and we are leaving for a vacation the next day. They worked as efficiently as they could to get everything finished and just before dark (probably 8pm since this was early July) they drove away.

I was incredibly impressed with their workmanship and dedication to getting the job done on our deadline, and they were so kind and respectful. However, the speed with which they had to work meant that they couldn’t put much time and attention to the driveway repair. So I mentioned a few months later that I wasn’t happy with the driveway and they agreed that it wasn’t their best work. I said it wasn’t urgent so anytime they could come repair it would be great.

Then early this week they called and said they would repair the driveway. Two days of work later it looks brand new. I will use Genteel Plumbers for all of my plumbing needs in the future.

I’ve never experienced a company so committed to customer satisfaction and all around they are incredibly kind, skilled, and quality people.

He was very kind, knowledgeable, well trained and he took time to explain all my options. At the end my family and I were very grateful for the outstanding service Joan provided. We had a leak in our tankless heater. Ogrady came to check it out. They diagnosed the issue but turned off the radiant heat and then did not come fix or take responsibility for the issue they caused. We called our regular plumber who was able to service and maintain the unit. dissatisfied with ogrady - not only did they not fix the problem, they created a new problem and did not take any responsibility for it.

Edy did a great job. He added a service (snaking our french drain) he wasn't expecting and went out to get the correct parts for the toilet -we had ordered the wrong parts.

Phenomenal response time, service, and diagnosis of the issue. We will certainly turn to O'Grady Plumbing for all our service needs moving forward.

I have been very happy with service of O'Grady plumbing. They have addressed many plumbing problems for me. They always respond quickly with friendly and helpful service.

We needed a new sewer lateral for two adjacent buildings in Noe Valley. This was a complicated and expensive project that O’Grady handled professionally, quickly and less expensively than any of the other plumbing companies we interviewed. O’Grady and his team may be a bit eccentric but don’t be fooled, they are the best!

Jake and the team helped replace a commercial water heater. They beat everyone else's price and completed the job quickly. There was some follow up work after installation which they responded to quickly. O'Grady should be on the short list for plumbing vendors.

O’Grady saved us thousands of dollars by making a minor repair to a line they had rebuilt 9 years previously. Then they helped us wade through a permit process complicated by oddly configured sewer lines which they helped the inspector himself sort out.
Had they not been willing to help it would have cost thousands and thousands for a complete line replacement. O’Grady rocks, and if you’re heading into a big project they will get you through to completion. I can’t say enough about how grateful we are that we hired them to do our work years ago.

I used O'Grady service in 5-2020. Water Dept notified me water leakage. AWR(American Water Resources) referred me to O'Grady. They came immediately and detected leakage in 2 toilets due to faulty flappers. They got parts next day and fixed them. Up to this day both toilets in good shape.

Matteo was quick and efficient, but he did not have the equipment to pinpoint the area of concern in my sewer line. He or another technician will return to the property on Monday or Tuesday.

The staff is always friendly and explains thoroughly what needs to be done and why. Pricing is pretty standard and fair. Their response time is quite good as well. I have used their services several times and have never had any issues. Would definitely recommend.

I've been working with O'Grady's for our building's plumbing needs for many years and the quality they deliver has remained stellar. When I called to ask for some help with a dying water heater as well as two others I thought might be faulty, Jonathan said he could have a plumber come out within the hour. What? So fast!

Jake came on time as promised and confirmed that the 12 year old heater had to be replaced. But after poking around the other two heaters assessed there was no problem with those and set them right again.

He headed out to purchase a new water heater and made it so easy for me. I really appreciate how smart and resourceful he was.

PG&E discovered a small leak in a joint in a gas line in my garage. Called O'Grady to fix it. Edy came within a few hours and replaced the leaky joint. Great job.
