Zach was great to work with. He was very helpful during the design phase and had great ideas about how to use our space. Execution was on time and the only charges beyond the initial estimate were additions that we discussed and agreed upon. That was a nice change compared to most other contractors I've worked with. He took the time to talk and explain many things we didn't know, and was very patient as we made up our minds. We're happy with our yards and highly recommend Living Green Designs.

Highly recommend Living Green Designs! The entire process was easy and smooth from the design through construction. Any hiccup we encountered was handled quickly and stress free. Communication was always prompt, straight forward, and easy! Zach’s team was always very respectful of our home, worked hard, and cleaned up nicely everyday. As far as construction projects go, this was by far the most smooth and on time project I’ve been through!

I really appreciate Zach and his team's creativity with our project, which was taking a small patch of beat-up grass and turning it into an area we could use for entertaining. In Redondo Beach, we had a very small sliver of a backyard to design. Zach came up with a creative and great-looking design. He worked with us to incorporate our ideas, including a really nice water feature. I appreciated his eye for detail when it came to selecting the right plants and stones for the work. Overall, I would highly recommend Zach and his team at Living Green for backyard remodels and updates.

We had just moved into a home that had a newly remodeled interior, but we needed someone to design our front and back yards. Zach and his team were fantastic.

The project began with a phone consultation to get a sense for our design preferences, gauge the scope of work, and provide rough pricing estimates. From there, Zach and Gary came for several in-person meetings and worked with us to customize a landscape design plan. Zach was incredibly knowledgeable when addressing our questions and concerns. He always kept our budget in mind.

The actual work involved:

Clean-up of old vegetation and dirt
Irrigation installation
Planting of 3 citrus trees and about 40 drought-tolerant plants

Patio: pouring concrete to level out our old patio, then installing new tile on top

Zach was on site multiple times a week as work was being performed. All of his team members were respectful of our property, putting their trash in appropriate bins and even taking our trash cans in on trash day. Best of all, work was completed ahead of schedule!

We were so impressed with the work and professionalism that we’ve hired them to help with the landscape maintenance as well. Would highly recommend.

Highly recommend Gary and Zack. Our 2 year project was delayed many times due to unclear, changing city requirements and staffing. Living Green never waivered and kept going which is why we now enjoy our newfound spaces. We were so fortunate to have found this team. We have lived here for 39 years and never went outside. We now are outside everyday having the time of our lives decorating and just enjoying our clean, beautiful outdoor space.

Gary and Zach did a wonderful job reimagining and recreating our backyard ... especially with the limited space we have!! Now, we have a fantastic outdoor living area that we can use all year long! They are both true professionals and easy to work with. Great attention to detail. I highly recommend them for any landscaping design and construction job!!

We have a typical North Redondo back yard that is long and narrow. Gary came in with all sorts of great ideas and we spent a lot of time designing to get it right. It was worth every minute as we just completed construction and are thrilled! The work was meticulous, the workers never got in our way and were receptive to our needs, the supply channel challenges were there but work did not start until Zach was sure all materials were available. Any questions we had were answered to our satisfaction and any problems we saw were corrected without complaint. Would I recommend? Yes. Use again? Yes. We're already bidding another project

We had our front and back yards completely redesigned. Our goal was to reduce the amount of grass and make our backyard a place to entertain since our house is so small. Gary and team nailed it! Gorgeous work and done on time. We've kept Living Green Designs on for our bi-weekly maintenance. Plants are happy and thriving and it looks just as good as when it was first installed!

We worked with Zach and his team at Living Green Designs for a full front and backyard remodel. We had a great experience overall and appreciated the attention to detail. The work was completed as scheduled without any hiccups. We appreciated the suggestions that Zach made during construction and super happy with the outcome.

Zach and his team at Living Green Designs carried out an exhaustive and comprehensive 7 month backyard remodel which included removing trees, walls and approximately 30 Tonnes of dirt while completing a full transformative experience that includes location beautiful features such as an outdoor kitchen complete with Beer Tap, BBQ, Pizza Oven, Outdoor appliances etc.
In addition a stunning fireplace and firepit, 2 outdoor pergolas, along with a large Jacuzzi were also installed to fit into a 3 tier outdoor space. Also included was new fencing, electrical, lighting, water and gas infrastructure along with creative approaches to trees, plants, flowers and even a herb garden.

Zach project managed, installed and now maintains our location and I could not be more happier with what they have done. Despite facing obvious challenges of city permitting, bad weather, zoning problems and others, I was very impressed with how Living Green Designs were able to stay calm and keep the project on time and within budget.
We now enjoy all year round and long lasting family memories with the outdoor space that was created. THANK YOU!!!

We worked with Gary and Zach to design and remodel our backyard. Gary did a great job taking a backyard that was nearly unusable and designing an area that is our new favorite spot in our home! My small Patio was destroyed by fire and since my patio is very small I had some challenges with design and layout to make it more functional . I contacted Living Green for the design. After the first design I met with Zach Steeber and he added additional good suggestion to the design. I decided to do the whole project from design to building my patio with Zach. Everyone at Living Green Designs was professional , friendly and knowledgeable . I added my front walk way to the project and they did a fantastic job. They delivered an amazing outside patio/ living space for me. I highly recommend them .

Highly recommend Living Green Designs. The team took in our ideas and maximized and respected our budget. The project started with a blank slate on a fixer property, and I worked with Gary and Kayla on 3 design concept rounds. They were very accommodating to my schedule during site visits and came prepared. Once scope was locked, I worked with Zach and the amazing crew during the build phase that took about a month. The crew worked extremely hard and quickly, and always cleaned up after each day. Zach came on site frequently to supervise the progress. Things that stood out was that I felt like a part of their family. When a pergola got delivered and I needed help unloading, Zach had the crew over to help. When I needed help picking the right pergola dimensions, Zach came over to help provide guidance.

Our yard is a moderate size, but every inch is now maximized and easy to maintain now. We sat outside for the first time, and just again impressed with the quality of work and how much this improves the usage and flow of our house. Thank you Living Green Design team!

Casa Verde is the best company. I am very satisfied with the work of my house, very professional.

This gardening service is pretty bad. Lupe Ruiz has no customer service skills and becomes very defensive when the client points out things that weren’t done properly in the yard. For example, this service does not clean properly and neglects the lawn from being properly cared for, and lastly, breaks sprinklers and water pipes. Beware!!!!!!

I should have read the other reviews closely. As other have pointed out, the owner Lupe has poor customer service. I represent a HOA complex and sought the service of Casa Verde to maintain weekly landscape maintenance on our complex. We only had them for one month and noticed they were not diligent in doing the services as stated in the terms that we have agreed upon. The Board called Casa Verde and spoke with Jannet (Lupe’s wife) and expressed our concerns to her; she translated the conversation to Lupe. Basically Lupe took the phone and angrily told us he quits and asked for his final payment and abruptly hung up the phone. DO NOT HIRE THE SERVICES OF CASA VERDE! We took a chance on them even though they are unlicensed. (Stick to license vendors.)
