A-1 came out to service our swamp cooler last fall. It is on the second story and I have had a difficult time finding someone to service it. They did a great job last fall and I called them to come out and service it again for a spring startup. They came out for the appointment and immediately said that they refused to do the service because of the location on the roof. I'm not sure why they took the appointment if they knew in advance they would not do it. They wasted my time and theirs.

A 1 choice recently replaced my furnace. I called them in a bind with no heat. They came the next day and at a very fair price replaced my furnace. They were prompt, professional and finished in a timely manner. Nice to deal with a company who does a good job!!

We want to recommend the services of A1 Choice Heating and AC. A family owned father-son business, Jim and Kyle installed new furnace and AC units this summer for my parents and again in our home 2 months later. We were so pleased with their service, their pricing and their willingness to check in a week later to be sure all was well and answer any questions that might have popped up. They were very respectful of our home and yard and so far, seemed to have provided quality work and HVAC units (Trane). They take pride in their work, are prompt and the price we paid was exactly as quoted in their bid. We all highly recommend Jim and Kyle of A1 Choice Heating and AC.

We had a problem with our furnace and they were fantastic to work with from start to finish. They were able to come out the next day accommodating our schedule. The technicians were thorough, HONEST, and took the time to figure out what was actually going on instead of immediately recommending expensive replacements.
He got the system running properly in a short amount of time, explained what he found in plain language, twice, once for my wife and once again for me.

They gave us clear options for addressing the issue long term without any pressure. We really appreciated the transparency and the fact that he focused on fixing the problem rather than upselling unnecessary parts.
They also went the extra mile by checking carbon monoxide levels in the basement and making sure the venting was safe on the roof. The cost was very reasonable for the amount of time and care involved.
This is exactly the kind of service you hope for professional, honest, and trustworthy. We’ll definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

Von, Chase & Kyle are nothing short of awesome! They replaced my furnace (with humidifier), AC unit & water heater with state-of-the-art, high-efficiency Carrier and Rheem products for an incredibly reasonable price. I couldn't be happier with the end result. They are honest, very knowledgeable professionals who offer the highest quality work. They truly go above and beyond. I would highly recommend them to anyone with HVAC needs.

Keith from S&H came to fix my A/C. I had another guy out there and he tried to say my system was completely out of Freon and tried charging $300/lb and said I needed just over 4 pounds. Keith came out, refilled my system, and charged very competitive price. Also the refill was only 2.5 pounds not 4 pounds. They also found and repaired the leak. Awesome service, reasonable prices, and I will be using them for all future business.

Two words: THE BEST!

I had called 2 other well known HVAC companies in Denver for a tune-up service on my 24 year old furnace. Both companies came out, looked at the furnace, and said "here is a quote for a new HVAC install because this thing is ancient". Not one of them attempted to see if it was in good shape and running, but rather put on their gold chain and tried to car sales me right in my living room - I was totally uncomfortable.

As disappointing as that experience was I found S&H through google reviews and noticed their website wasn't generic like all the other sales driven HVAC companies. I spoke with the owner Von who was oh so helpful and kind. He sent out his head tech Keith who was just as nice. Keith looked at the old furnace and got to work. After an hour or so he had the thing cleaned, up and running, and sent me on my way. He was never pushing me to buy a new system, but was rather hopeful the furnace would last me another winter season.

This is a family run business for over 3 generations and it shows in the way they treat their customers. Their rates were fair too! Thanks Von & Keith!

My furnace unexpectedly quit working. I had a different company out first but called S&H when the first guys were trying to rip me off with an overpriced new system. I was really glad I called S&H. I talked with their Owner (Von), Office Manager, and technician and all were extremely helpful. They always answered the phone immediately and did their best not just to get my furnace working, but also not cost me more dollars than necessary.

Von, their owner, was awesome. Even though he was out of town with personal business, he still took the time to diagnose my problem remotely (via cell phone pics and conversations). He has tons of experience being in this business for many years. He worked with me and Carrier (S&H is a factory authorized carrier dealer) to offer options of either fixing the furnace for free under warranty, or offer me a generous credit towards the cost of a new furnace.

Since the furnace was already 12 years old and Carrier was giving me a sizable credit for the warranty issues, i went ahead and purchased a new furnace at greatly reduced cost. When they came the next day to install, there was a slight hiccup at the local Carrier distribution center -- my particular model was out of stock. S&H negotiated with Carrier to give me a free upgrade to the next higher level of furnace! The install went great and i couldn't be happier.

I highly recommend S&H. They are professional, knowledgable, and really enjoyed working with a local small business rather than some 24/7 Mr fix-it operation that is only trying to scam you out of more money.

Was referred by a friend when a rental house needed a furnace. Very competitive price on a better unit than other bids. Very honest as to what I needed. Later son needed a unit with filters for my grandsons allergies. Again great service and a honest company which I find very important. Another rental townhouse sale and needed an air conditioner. They were to the place very quickly and gave me an fair price and a good conditioner. Will always use them. Von, Chase and Keith have all been to my job sites and gave me good information and great service.

I had gotten quite a high estimate from a well known HVAC company to fix my air conditioner, when my sister suggested S&H Heating & Cooling, which she had used before and was quite happy with. I am so glad I took her advice and called them because they fixed my a/c promptly for a very reasonable price. I won't hesitate to call them again for any a/c or heating needs.
