Zen did a great job from design to permitting to construction that left us with a perfect new space (and the nicest bathroom in the house by far). On budget and ahead of schedule. The team were respectful and talented. Would do again in a heartbeat.

From the design meeting to construction day and all through the entire renovation, Zen Owner, designer, Foreman, and Construction crew were fabulous from day 1 to the very last day. I literally have nothing but praises for this company. Romi Prados, our designer, brought my vision to life in just one meeting. She is extremely perceptive of your needs and desires and brings both elements together as if it was effortless. Peter Etherington, communicated weekly and I always felt up to date and taken care of. The foreman was always communicative and the crew was so considerate, it was like they were not even here. They kept our home clean during the entire process and always ensured to never leave without cleaning up at the end of the day. The work is in the photos. Literally the most perfect bathroom I never thought I would have and it was brought to life. These guys were perfectionists and I was grateful. Thank you Zen Renovations for my favorite place on earth. You have ruined me forever. I will never look forward to any hotel, Villa, or Vacation stay again. We left for our first vacation in 7 years and all I could think about was getting back to the beautiful place Zen helped bring into our home. Which brings me to the last thing. Without even asking or paying for it, they repainted our entire master bedroom so we could continue the zen feel into the bedroom. And just when you think they did enough, they go above and beyond and contact us to correct any settling that might have happened after the renovation. They have the best attention to detail I have ever experienced and it was so refreshing after dealing with so many other horrible contractors in our past. I look forward to working with them again in the future.
Sincerely Grateful,

Kevin Harris and his Zen Renovations team created new master and guest bathrooms for my old Capitol Hill townhouse that have immensely improved the look and feel of my home. I can’t praise his teams of professionals highly enough. Each of the 22 individuals who had a hand in the project was polite, professional, efficient, and a master of their trade or craft. The design folks were patient with my indecisions, the project managers were considerate of my space, and the craftsmanship is superb. Construction problem resolutions revealed a team with deep experience and know-how. And get this: it came in under budget – I got a refund. There are mornings now when I just can’t absorb how much I love the new spaces. I highly recommend Zen Renovations. Don’t wait, do it now!

Typical Home Depot

Pauline at the Pro desk is extremely rude with a major attitude, not helpful but condescending.

I have been trying to contact them for an installation and no-one will answer the phone or return our call. We have visited the store twice and called repeatedly with no follow up. Amazing how hard it is to spend money with these guys.

If you purchase anything that comes with free assembly, expect to wait...and wait. You'll get emails that say it's ready, then get told to call the store because the emails are unreliable. I've made four calls in three days and was just informed I'll have to wait another three days...when the assembly guy comes in again. It's terrible to offer a service that you're not prepared to provide in a timely manner. I should have bought at ACE - they bring it to your door.

I ordered carpet from there. I had been waiting for a call i never got, so i called them. After the run around i found out that their new guy promised me false install terms. They have other people from Home Solutions do their install times, and they work between 7am-4pm (which is when i work) and the one lady, Miranda, isnt there to help. If there wasn't the issue with the non refundable $50 for the measure, i would pull out. I will no longer do business with this Home Depot.

I have had the worst experience I have ever had with customer service here. There is never anyone to help. I called and made a deposit to have a door installed, a month later, they still haven't done it. And now I've been trying to get my money refunded for two weeks and they haven't managed to do that either. Also, no one ever answers the phone at this Home Depot. DO NOT GO HERE.

We tried to purchase and have installed blinds at this store. So far, it has been the worst experience. I already spoke to the manager on duty, Michael, and filed a formal complaint. Here is my story:
We went in and tried to inquire about blinds. First, their "design specialist" was not at her spot, but a sweet girl named Tawnya helped us out. Of all the people we've dealt with, she was the most helpful and should receive a promotion. She did her best to help us out despite her not being in her comfort zone. She said we would have a measurement scheduled shortly.
Several days passed, and we heard no word about this measurement. We called to inquire and Jeff was sent out shortly after. Jeff was friendly and personable. He did his job quick and said the store would contact us when the blinds were cut.
A week passed, no call. We went into the store and Tawnya helped us out again. She had some difficulty locating the paperwork but again tried her best despite the lack of procedure being followed. She set us up for blind trimming and said they would call us about a delivery shortly.
Several days passed, no call. We went into the store to inquire and they did not deliver the blinds because it was an extra charge. Either this wasn't communicated or it was poorly communicated. So, we brought the blinds home manually.
Several days passed, but I did receive a call from Julie. She set a time and Jeff showed up as promised. To all of our dismay, the blinds were not cut properly to the measurements and he could not install the blinds. He took them back himself and said they'd call when the blinds were finally cut properly.
Another week, and no call. I called Home Depot for about 30 minutes as the lady helping me at the time found my order. She assured me the blinds would be cut and helped to schedule the delivery. I was told a first AM delivery even though the typical window is AM or PM (4 hour+ delivery window). I work 9-5 each day and in a neighborhood where I wouldn't want the material sitting outside (plenty of unsupervised children).
That morning, I called home depot several times. They forgot to get my order on the truck first thing in the morning and after several calls, the material arrived at 12PM. I missed 4 hours of unpaid work when it should have been less. I was supposed to be called prior to delivery by 30 minutes. Instead the driver called 5 minutes prior. Should I have been at work, I would have missed the delivery window in my 15 minute commute home.
It has been about three days since the delivery and I have not heard word from the installer. I called and filed a formal complaint this morning and am nearly ready to install them myself. This has been a terrible experience and should I ever need another home install, I will not be using Home Depot. -

No one was able to help me.

Help is a problem, always have to go find someone.

If you can avoid this HD and find another store, you’ll be better off. Front end staff, including cashiers and service desk, have been rude and disinterested in answering any questions the past 2 visits. They literally don’t answer you back, especially after repeating the questions. Bear in mind these were intended purchase visits. As a result I left without a purchase. Floor staff are much more capable of customer service abilities.

From the sales rep to the installers, everyone was courteous and professional. The only problem was they did not use covering for their shoes. Someone tracked something on my catpet that is not going to come off. Granted the carpet is old and needs to be replaced, but I can't do that until next year. For that I sm very disappointed.

Had doors installed. Looks great the only thing I wish they had done is filled the nail holes

The good thing is that they have almost everything you need. The bad part is that they sell everything cheap from China. I'm all into saving money however crap from China usually needs to be replaced in a year anyway... anything from water sprinkler valves, to light fixtures I've had to replace several times.
