After a different company came over and said it couldn’t be repaired and they quoted me 6.500 on a new heat pump for my pool, needed a second opinion.
I contacted Universal heating and air.
This company is awesome!
Josh and Eddie were just at my home right on time. They checked the heat pump for my pool and were extremely knowledgeable and professional. They repaired the unit in less than 2 hours and now is up and running again (and no need for a new unit), saving me A LOT of money!
Bottomline is always get a second opinion and if you own a pool heater this is the company to go with (they are the certified technicians for all major brands).
Five stars and will be using them now every year for maintenance.

Our pool heater stopped working and we had a big party coming up. The team over the phone were more than willing to help out and even got me on their very busy schedule. Just in time for the party. Cullen came out and fixed our pool heater quickly and kept me in the loop the entire time. He did a great job getting it running, and even shared things I may experience in the future and what to keep an eye out for.

I will definitely be using this team again for my pool heating needs, along with future heating and AC needs.

Josh and Gavin came out to my home in Lake County to triage and repair my pool heat pump. Josh and Gavin were very pleasant, efficient, and extremely professional. They showed me the problem exactly, and went on with the repair. Everyone at Universal Heating & Air Conditioning that I've spoken with on the phone (Sandy) were also pleasant and professional. Here's an update from 4 days later. Thank you Josh and Gavin. Our pool heater is working fine. We received our invoice, and was pleased with the price of the repair. BTW to all, there is another HVAC company out there with a very similar name. My recommendation and 5-star review is for Universal Heating & Air Conditioning, INC. Make sure you specify this company.

I called Universal for my A/C maintenance. They communicated costs upfront. They verified my appointment. Arrived on time and performed maintenance. My system checked out in great shape nothing new needed. Honesty in this business is not an easy find. I recommend them highly and suspect they will exceed your expectations.

I contacted Universal Heating & Air because they were recommended by Pinch A Penny Pool Services. I am very grateful for their recommendation! I called To make an appointment to have my pool heater checked and at some point I made contact with their Tech Mike. Well, I was so impressed with his patience, professionalism and knowledge about the different systems and how they work, that upon scheduling my appointment I requested to have Only Mike as my tech and shared that I was willing to await his availability. Mike arrived today and he was every bit of the professional/knowledgeable person that I hoped to meet. I highly recommend this company!

Universal Heating and Air was highly recommended to me by a previous customer who had similar work done. I was using a different company prior and they were just not working out for me. I have been very satisfied with Universal Heating and Air so far. I have spoken to several different people from office managers to HVAC techs that come out. If you need diagnosis and repair for your propane pool heater, this is THE company. Long story, but I've dealt with several companies for service on our heater and these folks are by far the best. The nice technician that came out, Cullen, was super knowledgeable and gladly explained exactly what was wrong and was able to provide the needed part and make the repair. They even came a day early, after notifying us of the change. Reasonable cost and fantastic service. Highly recommended.

Universal Heat & Air performed a maintenance service on my A/C units to ensure they were performing efficiently prior to the Summer heat season. They were incredible to work with and made both units look and operate like new!! They also shared insightful information that all homeowners should know to maintain household A/C units performing at peak performance. They alerted me that I was using the incorrect A/C filter size; the home had 20x20" filters but 20/21" were actually the correct size. They are highly recommended if you want to keep your A/C system operating at peak performance year round.

These guys are by far the best HVAC company around! Samantha in the office is always quick to answer any questions and return any calls. We have used them many times and have never been disappointed. Once we strayed and used a different company, which led to a year of misery. Mike their technician was able to solve all of our problems the same day we called. These guys are the best!!!
