I was quoted $2,300 just to pull a permit under their license for an AC unit, which is completely unreasonable. There was no installation involved, no materials, just paperwork and a license sign-off.

I’ve since learned that in Lee County, this type of service typically costs a fraction of that. Charging over two grand for something like this feels excessive and out of touch with reality.

What’s more frustrating is there was no clear breakdown of the cost—just a flat number with no justification. It comes across as taking advantage of customers who may not know the going rates.

I wouldn’t recommend this company unless you’re okay with being heavily overcharged. Definitely get multiple quotes before moving forward.

Where drivers are late for their appointments and cut you off to make a yellow light. Great service!!!

Paul was great. He figured out what I needed and was prompt and courteous.

I took two days off work didn’t show up the first time second time he came and poked around let some airi out of my compressor and said all I have a small leak did nothing to fix it also strong political views typical Democrat don’t recommend him was told ahead of time that we wanted the coil removed and totally clean

Incomplete job. Does not return calls or text. Never installed my heater and still refuses to even communicate when it will be installed. Do not use them .

Completely exceeded my expectations!!!!
Called @8am Saturday morning and my repair was completed a few hours later!
My unit is older and on the cusp of needed to be replaced. There was no hard sell or pressure, Paul assessed the situation and fixed the problem for less than $200!!!!
He also went out of his way to befriend my dog who has an anxiety problem.
I will never go anywhere else for my HVAC needs - thank you Paul (and Polar Bear Air), your service is exceptional!!!

Great customer service and pricing. Paul was able to get new system the next day and at a great price for same model quoted from other companies. He saved the day and it was a pleasure to work with him and his crew.

Update:
Sys started w AC leaking problems on 9/30- only 2 wks after install . They have been working to try to find issue and on 10/13 I was advised I needed to replace line set but Polar couldnt do it so I had to hire another vendor. Line set was rerouted and sys still not working . I am out 7k and still no AC and Polar is saying other vendor caused the issue.

Praying they will help me get this right.-

Paul has stuck behind his sys and is repairing as needed - this still has been a nightmare for both of us and hope inspection goes well. I just want a sys that cools and is reliable. That is why I replaced my old unit.

Finally my air is cool.
Sidenote: I had another highly rated air company come out to get paid for nothing. Called them out here 3 times. Guy says he's found the problem the third try but at this point I figured he didn't know his stuff well so I called Polar bear air, Matt. Matt came out and said well that is in fact NOT the problem. For some reason your heat is also on because that air is hot. Matt found the problem and was out of here in an hour. My house feels great for the first time since we bought it. Mind you it had a new unit installed.

Initially I was very happy with Paul and his professionalism. However, after getting new ductwork and plenum installed we noticed plenum was never completely sealed and has been leaking for a couple of months. Paul came and looked at it as soon as I called him however he is not able to "fit" me into his schedule to fix. This is disappointing. I rarely leave reviews but feel as if I'm getting the run around at this point. Very disappointing. I paid them well over $3,000 for their services and can't even get a phone call back. Will update my review if they ever come back and fix the poor work they did. Just another contractor I guess...disappointing.
Update: Paul did finally call back and had a tech fix the issue. Overall quality of work is good.

Paul will be charming and wonderful when you get started but good luck getting in touch after you sign the check. I happily called Paul when I wanted to get my AC system serviced before listing my house on the market. He was very rude and short and then never got back to me. Then I found out he did not properly close out the permit with the city from a job 2 years ago that nearly cost me the sale of my house. New customers should ask for proof of active licenses too…

I highly recommend Polar Bear Air as the best A/C service company that I have dealt with since I have been in Southwest Florida back in 2010. Honest and very fair pricing. Paul fixed an issue that other A/C companies refused to deal with, my electronic float. Paul converted it to a manual float, which is much more consistent and reliable.
Again, I highly recommend Polar Bear Air.

This dude drives like he has no brain.
He is reckless. And he’s rude! Called to complain about a truck/van almost hitting us what does he do tries to blame me for his negligence!
He tried passing from the left lane when we were already in the middle lane we honked and he still proceeded to come into our lane. Then was pointing and saying that was your fault. So I called the number which is his personal number the actual driver of the van.
He was rude and tried stating we were wrong for what!?!!?!?? Driving where we were already at?
I wouldn’t hire a person with 0 accountability.

Buyer beware. Stay away from Polar Bear Air ! I had them do a new 4 ton AC and pool heat pump. Payed over 15K less than a year ago. When they installed it the never put an access point to add vinegar to keep li e clean . Polar bear blew out the line but still leaks. Had another company come and check over the unit. After they checked it over the results are I need a new reinstall. Nothing was level, all the duct work was sweating, not enough returns, just a sloppy sloppy install.
They couldn’t even properly install a bathroom fan. Had to have that replace correctly as well.
These guys are a joke.
So with the 4K I have to pay now I am not happy at all. Just trying to save the pain of being ripped off for someone else.

Hired Paul to put in brand new hvac system. Horrible never ending problems as it was not installed with access to clear out line (water). Paul the owner has not returned my calls for a year about issues with the unit. Unit is only a year and a half old.

I had to hire another ac company to do maintenance on unit twice a year to clear out the stagnate water. They have to saw through the pipe every time to do this because it is missing something that would allow easy access to clear drain.

Now I found out he never pulled a permit for this job. I just put my condo on the market and now I have to figure out how to get a permit myself as he will not return my calls, texts or emails.

Matt is a disgrace, foul mouthed and never fixed the problem of blowing hot air. Read the other reviews here. People are not lying. I should have known better. A waste of $640. BUYER BEWARE

Buyer Beware. This is s recent install from this company. Notice how the drain line and float are setup. Returned two months after install and said a condensate pump was needed but never fixed anything with the line itself. Unit constantly holds water and is unable to utilize float switch. Stagnant water solidifies and water spills into return plenum and walls causing water damage

Paul came out. Quoted us 1/3 the price Cool Air did to repair our air conditioner that Cool Air improperly installed. We highly recommend Polar Bear Air and Paul and his Team. Taking Cool Air to small claims court for their crappy work and follow up.
