Found Jim based on other’s reviews. He has both installed a new system and repaired two other units for me. He is professional, thorough and reasonably priced. I will rely on Orion for all of my future A/C needs!

My experience with HVAC repair services has not been good as they often are more sales operations than repairmen. Jim was just the opposite. He showed up early, quickly fixed what turned out to be a minor problem, and charged a reasonable amount without trying to sell me unnecessary and unwanted products and services. I could not be happier with this company. This may be the first review I have ever bothered to write.

Orion Heating and Cooling saved the day for me. After another AC company told me I had a leak that would cost over $1,000 to identify, and multiple thousands to fix, I called Orion for a second opinion. They informed me it was not a leak, just a rusted valve, and saved me some serious money! John was very knowledgeable, checked to see if my equipment was under warranty, and charged a fair price. Highly recommend!

We’ve used Jim on several occasions. He Is great with accommodating our busy schedule and always explains the issue and gives us choices on how to fix the problem. He is more than fair when it comes to pricing and more importantly his work is done expertly. I have recommended him to friends and family and they have all been happy with his service too.

We have never been disappointed in the service from Orion. Jim is very fair and prompt. As property managers we need reliability and fairness. Jim is both. We are happy to work with him.

I had a terrible experience with Dimitri aka “Jim” (he uses a pseudonym) and office worker Diane, who was incredibly rude. I had used Dimitri for routine maintenance for several years and he was just ok but he never once hauled himself into the attic to assess the entire system, which is just lazy. When I needed a new system he said there was only one option and his contractor installed an extremely loud, oversized, lower-end system causing several problems. He did not take the time to properly size my new unit and installed a 3 ton system in my 1200 sq ft condo, which is way too large and too loud, throwing dirt from the attic everywhere. Again he was just lazy having never inspected the ducts. We had to hire another company to address the problems costing me thousands more and it’s still a problem. “Jim” aka Dimitri initially promised me a credit to repair but then he blocked me. Note another reviewer here had a similar bad experience with “Jim” and he did the same things to him. Do not trust him! There are so many better AC companies in Pinellas County, don’t risk your money with this guy.

I cannot recommend Orion Heating and Air enough! Always quick to respond and get you on their schedule. Professional, reasonably priced. We had an issue with the air and Jimmy didn't quit until he figured the mystery out! Maintenance or a service call, make Orion your first call!

My husband and I got a new a/c installed about two years ago, less than a month after installation we started having issues with the new ac and started noticing condensation, soon after you could see where there were holes appearing in our handler. We dealt with this nightmare for two years for fear of trusting a new ac company to handle the repairs. We were fortunate enough to find Orion online and took a leap of faith. They have exceeded above and beyond our expectations and we cannot say enough good things about this company. From scheduling our appt to the date of our appt they were puntual, courteous and put all of our fears to rest. They were able to take our excisting handler that was so badly installed and turn it into a handler that we did not even recognize it looked soo good. We are beyond pleased with the service we received and continue to receive from them because we will no longer use or trust anyone else with our a/c system. Jim at Orion heating and air is truly great at his job, we are no longer worried about having future costly repairs.

Jim had been nursing our 20 year old unit at more than fair prices for a long time now. When it finally died, we would not even call anyone else because he had proved himself to be more than competent and trustworthy. His crew came out and replaced our system, and they could not have been nicer or more professional. I find myself running out of superlatives describing the service we have gotten from Orion. Overall the service and professionalism is unmatched. Arrived on time even a little early which I’m very appreciative of. Completed everything in an incredibly timely manner was very nice and understanding to the fact that we were hot being in Florida in 98 degree heat with no A/C. That being said he wanted to get us back with some cool air quick! Dimitri or John was unmatched in service, very knowledgeable, efficient, truly incredible overall. Cannot recommend the company and Dimitri enough if he’s the one taking care of you, just know you’re in great hands!!!!

Jim has been taking care of our heating and A/C system for many years. When we have an issue he responds very quickly, diagnoses the problem and fixes it as fast as possible. Last week our A/C went out, we called Orion and Jim came out in the morning. The problem was the fan motor in the air handler. Jim ordered a replacement and came back in the evening to install it so we would not be without A/C that evening. I know he must have been tired from working all day in the heat but he put our needs first. His prices are fair and he takes care of his customers. Highly recommend this business.

I had Jim from Orion come out for service call yesterday. My air handler was leaking water all over in the garage. He drained it, checked out the system, put freon in, and it's working great. He was professional and
efficient. Giving me an estimate to replace the system next year. Will definitely use them again!

We had Orion Heating & Air Install replace our 18 year old a/c system. From the quote to completion everything went smooth & as scheduled. Jim, the owner, was prompt and willing to answer our many questions. He worked with us to get the best system for our home & the price was very fair. His crew arrived for the installation on time, were very courteous, and professional. We will be using Orion H&A for all future maintenance on our new system.

Very lovely team! We had an emergency shut down on a mini split unit that was installed by another company. Diane who was dispatching went out of her way to get the right guy- Jimmy - on the job by the end of the day. Both were so helpful and knowledgeable about the units that I have. Jimmy was able to fix our issue and we are happy to now have a new reliable AC company! Super grateful and Highly recommend!! ✨

Thank goodness for honest Jim! After moving into our house with a new air conditioning unit, we called another air conditioning company who came out for $29.99 to do yearly maintenance on our unit. This company tried to tell us we needed a bunch of extra work done. We decided we needed a second opinion so we contacted Jim with Orion he looked at our unit and said it was in great shape. The next year he came out to maintenance our unit again and everything was still good and we haven’t had any problems. I highly recommend him, he will be the guy we use from now on.

Our A/C started leaking at the air handler so I called Orion and got an appt. Jim was very professional and took care of the problem quickly. The price was quite reasonable too. This A/C unit was installed by Orion about four or five years ago. They've always done a good job with every visit. I highly recommend them.

We are new to the Clearwater area and when our AC went down, we had a couple companies come out to look at it and diagnose the issue. A few of those companies provided high quotes and recommended a new system (our system is a 2015 system).

We then called Jim and his company to take a look and quote us on what was needed. Not only were we very pleased with the quote Jim provided, but we were also pleased with how he went about his work. Jim told us exactly what was needed and explained in detail (showing us first hand) what was wrong. He thoroughly researched the Warranty on the system/parts required and made sure we weren't charged for that. A couple of the other companies did not tell us anything about potential warranties. He was also right on time, efficient and very polite. Extremely honest, fair and just a nice guy in general. We will definitely be using Jim and Orion Heating & Air for our future AC issues. Jim came out to save the day! It was a while back, I am reviewing his stellar service now. Another company had been ripping me off for years, replacing compressor and on and on on a new system (yes, some parts were under warranty, the labor and cooling fluid were not - $$). And still they couldn’t fix the issue of the system not cooling properly. Over a year of that and about $2,000 spent. Found Orion Air on web and thanks to their well-deserved top reviews, gave them a try. I am so glad I did. Jim pinpointed the issue that had been present all along and I was able to get the other company to finally fix it properly at no extra charge. Unbelievable. It took a skilled tech/owner, Jim, an hour or so to find the problem that the other company blatantly skipped while selling me other stuff and coming up with excuses as to why the system was not cooling well. (“Low ceiling”, “no attic insulation”, “old system 😳”, etc.)

Amazing service , very happy with this company. I would recommend them for anyone that likes quick service and polite employees. They came to my house quickly when I had to get a new AC unit and required additional maintenance. Five stars!!!!

My experience with Corian heating and Air was absolutely fantastic. The guys that came to the house did the most wonderful job. They took the impossible and made it possible.
