Climate Control of South Florida is the best company I have ever hired for any complex project I have ever had to manage. And Edwin Pineda, who runs the company, is the most knowledgeable and professional contractor I have ever worked with. Edwin's team replaced a rusted and out-of-commission Addison rooftop commercial air conditioner with a new Captive Air unit; and they thoroughly upgraded three other Addison units that we thought we would have to replace and did so at a fraction of the cost of replacement. Now, those three not only work well, but they look almost brand new given the coating Edwin had done to those units inside and outside to protect them from salt water-induced rust (our building is on the intracoastal.)

We happily signed a maintenance contract with Climate Control and look forward to their quarterly visits. Oh, and did I say that the new Captive Air unit is amazing? It is so much more refined and powerful than the Addison unit we installed on our roof just seven years ago.

This company installed HVAC equipment in 2015 in condo unit. The HVAC system does not cool below 70F and produces high humidity. The actual ducting did not match the plans from the HVAC design. Took over 1 month to be able to talk to someone besides the receptionist. After multiple unreturned phone calls and email messages through Marianne (she confirmed receipt), I finally reached another lady who put me through to a man who was extremely rude. He dishonestly indicated there is a return air plenum at the top of the unit (where the supply plenum is). The return air plenum at the bottom is supposed to be connected to the return air as this is what the plans called for, but not what this company installed. The Carrier unit return air plenum is not connected and it simply draws air from the air handler closet door in an unsealed fashion through the bottom of the unit. The air handler closet is installed in a closed room which is not even air conditioned by the air handler and located by the trash chute and non-air conditioned fire escape stairwell. The return vents in the closet are not connected to the air handler. They do not draw any air when the AC is on. The company takes no responsibility, blames HVAC design architect - but falsely claims they installed a return air plenum. Avoid this company at all costs. They also did not connect the AC by the elevators correctly as air never blows out of that vent.
