Was scheduled to repair my Kitchen Aid fridge tomorrow after waiting for 2 weeks. They called today because they "forgot to order the part." Yet, they told Kitchen Aid they ordered and received the part! Now they said it will be another 2 weeks before they can repair my refrigerator. Guess how much fun it is to not have a refrigerator/freezer for a month with 2 small kids.

I had a great experience with Fields appliances and services, they were prompt and courteous. Teresa the receptionist was very friendly and very helpful with setting up my appointment to have my refrigerator door replaced. Scott the technician was prompt courteous and very knowledgeable about my Whirlpool refrigerator and other questions that I had concerning appliances. Scott was very neat and even took my old door with him so that I did not have to dispose of.

Do not book Whirlpool warranty service through this company.

The technician said my fridge was not under warranty and said that I would have to pay out-of-pocket for any repairs. I explained that I had spoken with the company and was notified that the refrigerator was still under warranty.

The technician with Fields appliance service did not even bother to check and just left my house. he wasted my time and his own companies and now I have to wait another week to get an appointment with another company and my refrigerator is still broken.

Purchased a Maytag Refridgerator in 2018. Have had problem since new with freezer door not sealing properly. Fields Appliance has been out here working on it at least 5 times for the same problem. The 3rd trip we were told we needed a new freezer door. The 4th trip the installer of the door hung it crooked and told us it would straighten out. We left the state shortly after. Upon returning this year it did the same thing. 5th trip the installer looked at it and said the door was not hung properly. After talking to his office, we were informed that we were responsible for a 98.00 service charge because their last installer did it incorrectly. Fields informed us that they only warranty their work for 90 days and refuse to refund our money. No service managers are available to speak with us directly. I am very satisfied with Technician Darren. But disappointed with Fields policies on labor. I feel like they have stolen my money without recourse or communication! DON'T USE This COMPANY!!

UPDATE: Finally spoke to a service manager, told me he did not need to speak to any of his technicians about the door being hung crooked. As far as he was concerned, anyone could have messed with the door. Asked to speak to owner, have not had any response..still waiting!

I try not to judge businesses harshly. In reading some of the reviews I thought perhaps people were taking their broken appliance issues out on this company unfairly, but now I'm beginning to understand the incompetence others have experienced. A month ago, my 2 year old Maytag washer (don't buy Maytag, lesson learned) stopped working. I contacted Maytag, they scheduled Fields to come out- a week later. Lee performed the service call and was great. He quoted over $900 to repair the washer (again, 2 years old and it didn't even cost that much to start with), but let me know that upon pressing Maytag, they might pay for repairs. I pressed Maytag, and yes, they agreed to do so. As I was leaving town for the holidays, I had no choice but to wait to schedule the follow up.

I called on 12/28 and left a message as their hold message instructed. No one ever called back.

I called on 12/29 and scheduled the follow up, referencing the invoice number, and the agreement for Maytag to pay for the parts. Unfortunately, the first available appointment was not for over a week. So I waited patiently.

Finally, the day came today and Hugo arrived at my home with only one of the two parts required for the repair. He started to take the washer apart, but confirmed there was no point, as he didn't have what was necessary. He told me that there was no history of the prior service appointment in his paperwork.

So I called, and spoke with James, pretty livid that my time was wasted, Hugo's time was wasted, and I'm still without a functioning washer. There's no possibility of expediting the next service, so I have to wait over a week to get someone out again. I asked James why Hugo was sent without proper parts, he responded that I declined one of the parts on 12/30; which is a 100% fabrication.

And here I sit, waiting for a manager to call me. No follow up scheduled. Shopping online for a new GE Washer. Moral of the story: don't buy Maytag, don't call Fields for service.

Have a whirlpool Dryer (still under 1 year warranty) that was making a metal on metal noise. Mitchell H. came out and immediately replicated the noise and told me exactly what it was with 100% confidence. While onsite before he left he scheduled me for a return service call for a week out. He arrived today on time with the part in hand. Dryer now works like a charm (knock on wood). I have had no issues with the Whirlpool Warranty Repairs or this company. I think it depends on what Appliance Service Professional you get for your service call. Thanks Mitchell H. - Chris

Don’t walk, run. Run as far away from having to use this company as possible. I was forced to use them by Maytag. It took a week for somebody to get out to see the washer, a week to get the part in, and then, when he arrived, he didn’t have the right part. So guess what… Another week of waiting.

The best part, is it’s not even covered by Maytag… I find this out after they charged me for $150 for the diagnostic.
What I can’t understand, is how they can stay in business with such a poor record. Look at their reviews, and look at how many of those reviews say exactly what I am saying.

I spoke with customer service, for whom carry no fault in this, and simply asked them if they could provide me with the name of the human being who was manning the helm of this wreck. She was unable to provide me with a name because she didn’t know who was in charge. Think about that. Their customer service isn’t aware of who is in charge of that building located on Edgewater.

    Absolutely terrible.

Update on 3/24/23: repairman came yesterday to fix my Maytag washer. This is the package for the part that was brought. Look at it… It’s for a whirlpool stove. So they told me it would be another week.

I would not recommend them to anyone. I am a small business owner and I know how important is service to customers.
I had brought a brand new washer and dryer from sears little over year ago. The timer on dryer was not working. So I called whirlpool and got the number for Field Appliances Services.
They came and serviced the dryer 3X and the timer is still not fixed and they charged me $310. Every time I call them to tell them it is not working. They say "our service man have fixed it & put in notes that its is working". I called to speak to the manager and they tell me he is out of the office and they will send him my contact info and he should call me.
I been calling and hearing the same thing for the last 2+weeks.
Their scheduling is horrible and my tenants had to take at least 2-3 hrs off from work on 3 different days. The timer is still not fixed.

Fields Service you are still yet to come fix my washer. They have rolled two trucks to my house and wasted everyone's time for no reason. I'm under warranty so I'm forced to use them and this has been grueling. They've sent the same guy twice to tell me that he needs another person to unstack them. The next scheduled day comes and the second guy "called out. Now I'm scheduled a month from the day I first called and my washer broke. This warranty service is a complete scam and Fields doesn't hold up to their word time and time again. Completely untrustworthy.. Disappointment all around. Look at all the one star reviews saying the exact same thing! Who on earth would ever CHOOSE to use this company!

One star is being GENEROUS. Terrible company!! Harassed us to make sure we would be home before the first appointment even though we had confirmed ahead of time. Did not have the part for the repair. Scheduled to come back & no called/no showed even though we confirmed by phone & email the day before. My boyfriend missed 2 days of work & washer still isn’t working. When I emailed the company about them not coming & not calling they had ZERO concern & asked us to reschedule. If you want a company with no integrity or respect, they are the perfect choice!! Shame on Maytag for using such a business without first reading reviews and doing their homework 😡😡😡😡😡

Fields needed to order a part under warranty which they did three days after they told me would do it on October 1. When I called to inquire when that part will be in they told me I had to call whirlpool to figure out what was the deal on the part they ordered. Of course whirlpool could not give me that information because Fields refused to give me the correct information for whirlpool to track the claim. They gave me their internal number which is not helpful to whirlpool. Whirlpool claims that all authorized service providers (which Fields claims they are) can expedite backordered parts through a special process they have had in place since March. When I asked Fields to do this they told me they would not because they could not and it was my responsibility if I wanted to get the part earlier. Whirlpool is sending it to me directly — because they recognize their authorized provider is not doing their job and they realize their reputation is on the line as well — however since Fields began the process I am obligated to use them to install the part. I was told at 9:30 AM on Monday that a supervisor would call me. At 3 PM on Wednesday I am still waiting. They have not returned phone calls or emails. The man who came out to diagnose the dryer was knowledgeable, friendly and on time. I’ve even recommended them to a few people based on that experience. But their office staff obviously don’t care about the customer. Whirlpool told me that if part ordered through the regular channels, it would likely be February before I got the part that is covered under warranty. What kind of customer service does not bother to return phone calls or emails to a customer who has already been waiting over a month for a repair on a major appliance? Of course I’ve already paid for 50% of the labor because they demanded that upfront. I would not be using them if I had a choice. I will never recommend this company again and I feel that Whirlpool/Maytag should no longer have them as an authorized service provider. Whirlpool assigned my case to them. I did not choose them.

Sam was the tech who reached out to me in reference to my 2:00 appt to repair my washer. Sam called me approximately 3 hours ahead of time and informed me my repair could cost up to $500 based on the problem and asked if I had reached out to the manufacturer to see if they would cover the costs as the washer is fairly new and JUST out of warranty. I spent the next 3 hours on the phone with Lowe’s and Whirlpool and long story short whirlpool is covering the cost to repair my out of warranty washer. Sam was so considerate calling hours before my appointment to see if I was able to get the job covered. He was patient with me on the phone as I asked him many questions and he was empathetic to my situation recognizing the high cost and my options. I truly appreciate Sam and want to thank him for representing Fields Appliance as an asset and great person! THANK YOU!

I schedule an appointment through the refrigerator company. They scheduled me for 1/2. Field's pushed my appointment to 1/3. Matt, the service tech, was wonderful. He came in, was friendly to the cat and the dog. He accessed the problem quickly and gave us a quote. We decided to discuss it, and Matt told us to call the company back. I called that afternoon and was told I would get a call back before the end of the day with an estimated arrival of the parts to move forward with the refrigerator repairs, as I didn't have a working refrigerator. I never heard back. I called the next day on 1/4, and the new receptionist I spoke to had no idea we decided to move forward with the reviews. Then she informed me, after saying parts were covered under warranty, that I needed to speak with billing in order to order the parts and that I must pay up front. I told her I was only paying for labor, she said that needed to be paid for up front. I said fine, even though I did not agree, and asked to be connected to billing. She told me that billing would contact me. It is now the 7th and I have not heard from them, and took it upon myself to purchase a new refrigerator.

I love this company!!! Me and my wife purchased a brand new may tag washer and a problem occurred where it would stay in wash mode all the time. I called warranty company and they sent there contractor who is Fields appliance services. The gentleman came and fixed my washer efficiently and fast me and my wife hasn't had a problem since. Even though I called for warranty and did not have to pay anything the people who wrote bad reviews about paying lots of money the people need to understand something. When you have a failed part it cost money to get the part ordered, shipping and has to pay a technician to install it. The company has to warranty there work on top of that for 30 days. And yes appliances use to last 20 years. They don't anymore cause the parts are made overseas so it is not the technicians fault. And yes there can be more than one issue. And also if you can go online and purchase the part cheaper than do it you call for service cause you didn't know the problem in the first place. Thank you fields appliance services and the tech who fixed my washer in a timely manner.

On 1/31/23 had appt set for 2/7/23 to repair washer. Tech showed up 2/7/23 diagnosed and ordered part. Install appt set for 2/17/23. On 2/17/23 at 9am Fields appliance called and cancelled appt. Rescheduled appt for today 3/1/23 and this morning @ 8:39 am called and cancelled again and wants to reschedule for 2 weeks. This is whirlpool warranty claim and fields appliance is whirlpool’s service provider. In summary been without a washer for over a month missed 3 days work. Horrible experience unreliable and unprofessional

I needed my stove service because the electric panel board had gone out which prevented my oven from working and the for the oven light to stay on continuously. The service guy that was assigned to come to my home was very prompt and kind. He was very attentive and explained everything so simple. He worked very quickly and showed me certain things as he was fixing it. He was very understanding to my concerns. My service guy name was Bryan Roof....he was awesome...kudos to you Bryan for a job well done. For any appliance needs you may have I recommend Fields Appliance Service Inc.

I don't get it. Fields (now Flamingo) is Whirlpool's and KitchenAid's primary local service company for Orlando. I've had Fields service my KitchenAid fridge and now cooktop (both really problematic and poor quality) close to 10 times. Not ONCE have they asked me what day or time is convenient for ME. Not ONCE have they given me a reasonable scheduling window - it's always a particular assigned day (so I have to plan to be available that entire day!?!) and as we get closer I get notification for a particular 4-hour window (so then I have to plan to be home during those entire 4-hours??!?). Not ONCE have they given me an idea of if they'll arrive closer to the start, middle or end of the 4-hour window. And no flexibility, take it or leave it. How does this company operate daily without infuriating every single customer??!?!? The worst part is not ONCE has this company resolved my issue on the first, second, or even third time. i.e. my fridge - my door was scratched and they shipped the wrong door to my house 2 different times!!! Each time I followed up with the office and they were lost. i.e. now my cooktop - TWICE a technician has shown up for 3 minutes, read the error code (the same exact one I told them about), looked up the part on their iPad, declared the part is no longer made, and left (and the first time tried to charge me $120+ for the service call!!!!!!). Maddening. Must be one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. I'd say avoid at all costs... but if you bought a Whirlpool, or KitchenAid, and it's still under warranty, you don't have a choice. I'm sorry.

required to use them as they are warranty service for whirlpool. HORRIBLE response time was always 2 weeks or more before they could get an appointment and 2 TIMES the service tech guy (not service professional) FORGOT to bring all the parts he needed. So we ended being down and out of a dryer for 6 weeks. You can no longer say because of the pandemic we are short...nope this is the poor level of service that Fields is ok with providing. I would never recommend them! We are stuck using them.

The worst repair guy. Knew nothing. Tells me I have to get a longer drain hose so he can test our washer while pulled away from the wall. I offer to give him 5 gallon buckets to run the unit and place drain hose in the buckets. He tells me he doesn’t have time. Left our home and scheduled a figure appointment without us even knowing until I got a confirmation call the day before that said appointment. ALSO, I got this company because I went directly to whirlpool for a repair guy who I assumed was going to know whirlpool inside and out. Ya right.

We had a warranty service call on our Whirlpool Refrigerator and Fields Appliance Services were great. They worked with us to make the appointment at a convenient time and Scott, the technician, came on time, calling ahead to let us know he was on his way. He completed the repair quickly and was very professional and exceptionally pleasant and friendly.

This company is a joke! I have a 6 month old Maytag under warranty the main board seems to have gone bad and it's been nothing but problems dealing with fields. The first technician came out tested the main board and control board stating it was a bad controller (I am very doubtful) No fear however they sent him out with the part, or so he though until he opened the box and discovered it was just a plastic piece that houses the part oops!. Then he told me the part was on back order and could not give me an estimate on when it would be in. I called Maytag(whirlpool) asked them if they had any idea on the controller being in and if they could also send out a main board (just in case I'm right and the micro controller on the main board is fried) They agreed and told me they would send the parts to my house and notify me before the parts shipped to me. Well the very next day Fields calls me to confirm a random appointment during the worst possible time. They use an automated service for this and when you call them back you get someone in the Philippines who has no clue what a washing machine even looks like. I was told the PART was in and if I cancelled my appointment that was made by fields with less than 24 hour notice I would have to wait an entire week. Well we changed our plans so they could come out. They took the machine apart a second time and then discovered they had the wrong part again. This time it was someone else's part for a completely different machine. This company seems to have no clue. I do feel bad for the technicians they were friendly and did call before their appointment but they work for a joke of a company. Who has wasted a lot of my time for something very routine.
