Appliance Repair reviews in Orlando, Florida

Fields Appliance Service was very easy to work with. It was easy to get in touch with them and they emailed appointment confirmations that were easy to respond to.
Scott was able to quickly repair my washing machine. He arrived within the appointment window and was respectful of my home. He was even nice to my puppy so it was a great experience for the whole family. -
Wretched customer service. I had a scheduled service call and took the day off to be home. The tech never showed up. When I called I was told he came by and no one was home. I offered to share video surveillance of my front door. They offered to come out the next day. The tech didn't have my phone number but they collected enough info for the claim to steal my identity. I've been waiting since 5/27/17 for my replacement refrigerator door. They finally called 8/11 to offer to install on 8/28. BTW, I had to call multiple times to check the status. Absolutely no follow up. Unfortunately I am forced to use them for Famous Tate claim... Don't even get me started on them! They delivered my very nice, expensive refrigerator without a box and damaged the door with the dispenser. They belong together. Have the Kitchen Aid rep involved at this point.

I called them out because my ice maker on my new refrigerator wasn't making as much ice as it could. Every time a technician came out, they broke things more. They've now sent out techs 6 times and broke the refrigerator more each time. Now my refrigerator is completely not working, it is not cooling and the inside is room temperature. The only working feature is the light when the door opens.
I have now not had a working refrigerator for 6 months. After every time a tech comes out, they break things more and therefore I call back to set up a new appointment with them. It takes anywhere from 2-12 weeks to get a tech out, not that it does any use since they can't fix anything and only break things more.
I would love to go with another company however this is through Whirpool Warranties and this is the only company I can contact. This has been probably the worst experience I've ever had with a company. I'm really disappointed i spent $1,800 for a refrigerator that hasn't worked correctly since I got it, and it's been 6 months without any support to make things right. At this point I just want a working fridge or a refund and I can't get either. If you can avoid this company, please do. -
Bryan Roof serviced my refrigerator this weekend. He provided excellent customer service. He came to my house on a Saturday and called a half a hour before he arrived. He was very thorough in diagnosing an ongoing issue that I have been having with my refrigerator. He defrosted my refrigerator that had iced up and got it working again till he could call Whirlpool on Monday to go over my ongoing issue with tech support. He promptly called them on Monday and then contacted my wife to let her know the status. This was very nice gesture and great follow thru on commitments. He exceeded my expectations for great customer service. He was very knowledgeable about the product and explained what might be causing my concern.

We closed on a new home and our new dishwasher had rust spots in the inside door. Whirlpool dispatched the order to this company and it has been a nightmare! We started the ticket in late September. We’ve had five techs come out with either the wrong part, the wrong tools or some other reason why the job couldn’t be completed. Finally on January 14th a tech swaps the inside door… now my dishwasher is dead! I called them back and had to wait for another appointment. I asked that they not send the same technician and was assured a master tech would come out…nope, same tech coming out. I asked for a supervisor and no one ever calls me back. They’re customer service lines are just as terrible onshore and offshore. Hoping they actually fix it, but seeing they only made it worse, I’m not super confident. If you’re paying out of pocket save yourself the headache.

These people have had me in a scheduling black hole for 5 weeks now. I keep having to reschedule my appointment because this company refuses to give a set time frame when you make your appointment but instead insist on texting you a time frame the night before your appointment at 8:30 PM. It doesn't give you a whole lot of time to plan accordingly if you have a job. Despite multiple calls to the business and explaining time and time again that it is extremely inconvenient for me to take a day off work with such short notice (which I also think that it is unfair that they hold this expectation when giving less than 24 hour notice) they don't seem to care and would rather waste both of our times, rather than give me the morning appointment that I have desperately been asking for. I have now been waiting 3 and a half months for a dish washer repair and it is beyond annoying. I waited a month for the original part only to find out they ordered the wrong one. Then about another month and a half for the new part. And now I have been calling them on a weekly basis for the last 5 weeks trying to get them to give me a morning appointment and stop giving me appointments for the middle of the day when I have told them it is in the middle of my work day. Unbelievable. All of this to cover a whirlpool dishwasher that has a warranty.

Wow! They arrived on time and the tech was super courteous. He quickly worked on my dryer and replaced the mother board which had gone out. He HAD the part with him. NO waiting until the part comes in and rescheduling the visit. It was a warranty claim and I could not be happier. This was the second service call for the same issue. The first company that came out was a joke. They were both sent through Whirlpool. Fields Appliance was super professional and polite and could not ask for more! I would trust them working on any of my appliances! I would use them again, even if it wasn't a warranty issue! Thanks

It took them 3 weeks to come out and look at my washer. Diagnosed as warranty motor repair. Came out 2 weeks later and replaced motor. New tech said the gearbox was leaking and should be repaired. He said he tuned up and it would be good. Tried load and the washer still wasn't working. Called them back and they said they would order part and come out in 2 weeks. Stayed home all day and they didn't show up. Called and they said that the tech should of called because they didn't have part. It would be another 2 weeks. At this point I cancelled the appointment and demanded refund for services not performed. They responded with they don't do refunds. Wow! You cannot make this stuff up.

I would NEVER recommend this company! It took 2 months for my oven to be completely fixed. The first visit the technician diagnosed the issue. He called the office and told them the parts which needed to be ordered. I was given an appointment for him to come back in 2 weeks. The day comes for the that appointment I waited till about 3 and then decided to call because it was a Friday and only 2 hours left until they closed. The person I spoke to was very unprofessional and told me that they sent me an email to cancel the appointment. I assure you that they did not send any email. And even if they had an email is not sufficient to cancel an appointment. I was told that the parts would be another 2 weeks. I was livid because this company was choose by Whirlpool as a warranty call. I called Whirlpool immediately to tell them that this is unacceptable and this company should never do warranty work for them. Whirlpool at that point sent the parts as a 2 day express. That Monday I called Fields back and informed them what Whirlpool was doing. The person I was on the phone with was extremely rude and told me that it would be longer than 2 days that the mail is unpredictable and that when they got the parts they would call to schedule my appointment. Another week passed and I hadn't heard anything. I called Whirlpool got the tracking number for the parts and also had been reassured by Whirlpool that the parts had been received and the persons name who signed for them. I called Fields and was told they didn't have the parts. I was livid because they had now lied. I continued to tell this person the name, date and time they had received the packages and was then hung up on. I tried to call back unsuccessful. Up until this point I was nice but I can not tolerate being lied to and then disrespected. I called back that following Monday they scheduled my appointment surprise for the same day they originally were going to supposedly have the parts they were going to order. A different technician comes out installs the parts and surprise it needed more parts that the original tech did not check. The company sends me an email of when they will be back out which brings me to 2 months and a week that I had to wait for them to fix my oven. I will tell anyone that asks to stay away from this company.

I keep seeing all these 1 star reviews and I am shocked. This company was awesome!!! I have a Whirlpool refrigerator I have been trying to have fixed for the last 3 months. RR Appliance Repair came out and did absolutely nothing. The Tech at Fields diagnosed the problem within minutes and had it fixed in less than 30 minutes. Additionally, their follow up prior to the appointment and the calling me ahead of arriving...I was impressed. I will definitely use them again if I need them.

Absolutely the worst repair experience. Find another option! Took quit awhile to get them out the first time. After that it would take up to an hour on hold to actually talk to a human. We waited patiently without any pushback for over 3 months on a part (which according to the technician we ended up not needing in the first place). They came to fix the freezer and broke my refrigerator. Promised I would receive calls and never did, so I had to wait on hold yet again for lengthy periods of time to work through issues. Eventually after making calls for 2 weeks and speaking to a manager I was spoken to as though I was a child who did something wrong. (Their employ broke my machine and admitted he did but yet I was still spoken to as if I had done something wrong here) Had a follow up appointment scheduled yesterday and still have yet to hear anything from them. Just avoid this company! Work is mediocre at best, senior staff is rude, and ability to speak to anyone will steal your precious time waiting on hold.

Our Whirlpool refrigerator's bottom freezer (bought from Costco new 1 month ago, June 2021), was frosting/icing over the freezer light switch. I used Whirlpool's website to make an appointment since we are still under manufacturer warranty. I got an appointment for 2 weeks out. Field's sent me a confirmation email and phone call the day before my appointment. The service tech, David M. who services the SC/GA area, came on time and was super nice and friendly. He fixed the warped gasket around the freezer door that was letting in the warm air. I have to see if it fixed the problem in a few days but he told me to not hesitate to schedule another appointment again if needed. I appreciated his professionalism.
I was worried with all the negative/bad reviews but that might just be based on location (FL?). There's a small service tech team for the SC/GA area so I would not hesitate if you're under Whirlpool's warranty and reside in SC/GA. -
I am shocked at the level of ineptness and lack of concern for customers that this “business” has. Our refrigerator/freezer completely stopped cooling on a Monday. Called them that day. The tech showed up Thursday. Said he needed to order a compressor and they’d contact us.
After a week we called and asked what gives. We were told “Oh, the part came in. Do you want to schedule the repair?” Ummm no we’d like to continue without a fridge for another few weeks…..of course we want to schedule!
So they had the nerve to tell us it would be a week and a half before they could get here. The part was sitting in their office. We were being held hostage at this point so, sure.
Tech (a different one) shows up….the first one ordered the wrong part. And said it would be a few weeks until they could get it.
I called JennAir myself to expedite and had the part shipped directly to my home. When it arrived and I called, Fields had the nerve to tell me it would be 5 days before they could schedule the repair. I reminded them that this situation was their fault. They didn’t care.
Thanks, Fields Appliance, for making me basically camp in my own house for 5 weeks! Never, ever again. I will call Aggressive Appliance next time. -
My 2 year old refrigerator stopped cooling. The fist available service was 2 weeks out. They made no effort to try and come sooner. After waiting 2 weeks, the service tech came out and said they had to order the part. They came back 2 weeks later. So one month with NO refrigerator. After installing the cooling part , my refrigerator started freezing up inside the refrigerator cavity. Then it would unfreeze and leak all over my wood floor. Fields took another 2 weeks to come out and access. They said the drip pan was damaged from the previous installation- they have to order another part. 2 weeks later installed the drip pan. Still leaks..2 weeks later came out and said the tubing was bad, have to order parts. ANOTHER 2 weeks later they installed the tubing. The leak is WORSE now that ever before. Called them and they are now a MONTH out for service. The water leaking is bowing my wood floor and ruining it. They could care less. They were instant that the soonest they could come back was 4 weeks. Refused to let me speak with a Manager or anyone in charge. AWEFUL Customer service!!!!!!!!!!

In early October of 2019, I needed service on a new but defective Whirlpool appliance. I called Fields Appliance Services Inc as they were a recommended warranty service business for my appliance brand, and service area. An appointment was made and confirmed, including a 4 hour time frame. I received a call from the technician on the scheduled service day, advising me of his estimated arrival time. He arrived at exactly the time he said he would. I found the serviceman to be completely professional in appearance, demeanor and troubleshooting skills. it was quickly determined that a replacement circuit board was needed, and it was immediately ordered. A few days later I was notified that the board was in and another appointment was set. Again, both the office and the technician called to confirm the appointment, and again he arrived when he said he would. The new part was quickly installed and tested. Having worked in public facing jobs, I know the importance of a good first impression. I was totally satisfied with my experiences with Fields' service, and I honestly cannot think of how it might have been improved. Kudos to the entire Fields team.

Never showed up........twice. Can't do anything about it because they do warranty work for whirlpool. Anyone buying a whirlpool from Lowes or Home depot don't. Why? Because the warranty work is done by Flamingo appliance who bought out Fields appliance is totally unreliable. It's October 31st and our Whirlpool refrigerator still isn't repaired. They've been to our home 6 times. Each time they wait for parts. Usually 2 weeks before they get them. It's like being in a black hole. Any good reviews is probably a bot or someone in the company raving how good they are. Wish I could give a good review but I can't.

Fields is extremely busy and getting appointments is hit and miss. Our initial appointment was quick and the tech was on time- very pleased. The second appointment after waiting a week was pushed out another week last minute. We were able to get in sooner and the operations/scheduler was very nice and patient. As you can imagine we were very upset that our 1 year old Whirlpool refrigerator suddenly stopped working for no good reason. They deal with upset customers, like ourselves, professionally and we appreciate that. A ticket was immediately submitted to Whirlpool for a replacement by Fields. They knew the process and how to get us helped.

Dishwasher was leaving water in the basin after completing cycle. Scott the technician called ahead and arrived on schedule. He was professional and informative. He had the dishwasher working within 15 minutes. He wore booties and wiped the area down. Will gladly use their services in the future.

They don't even deserve one star. This is literally one of the worst companies I've ever had the displeasure of using. The install tech screwed up the mounting bracket of my granite countertops. Techs don't keep basic parts (like power cords) in stock on trucks. Literally waited 3 months for this dishwasher only to have them screw it up trying to mount the thing incorrectly.

Amazing service! Our washer was unlocking during the cycle and not draining. Our Fields Appliance tech, Scott, was great. He quickly fixed my washer and got it back to brand new! He was polite, helpful & took time to answer all my questions. He wore shoe covers without my even asking as he came in from the rain. Very nice and considerate.

Seems like I am not alone in rating this company poorly.
My whirlpool oven within one year of purchase had the handle loosen to the point where it completely detached on one side and shortly thereafter one of the glass walls shattered. Since it was still under warranty, my wife called and was referred to this excuse of a company. It's been close to 2 months now and they still have not repaired it. At first someone came out and did an assessment and supposedly ordered the parts at that time. About a week later another technician came out and began repairing the oven door but as he was about to finish, he realized that a top bracket was not ordered. So again, supposedly he ordered it at that time. After a couple of weeks and not hearing any updates from the company, I called and spoke to someone supposedly named Jane who said that I should call whirlpool to see if they had the part since they were not successful in getting it. So apparently I had to do their job for them! Nevertheless, I called whirlpool and found out that nobody from Fields appliance contacted them and that they indeed did have the part in question.
It's been another 2 weeks since that conversation and my oven still isn't fixed. All I have is a stovetop and an oven without a door!
Field's appliance repair is a totally worthless company and I hope they go bankrupt leaving all of their employees homeless! One star is way too much of a rating for this sorry a.. company!
