April 22, 2025: Nearly three weeks after the installation tech assured me the job was complete, I was surprised to discover that the heating component of my unit hadn’t been installed. Additionally, the end caps for the outside unit—important for testing and inspections—were missing, as well as the required stickers and labels. The gentleman who came to finish the work did an excellent job, even though he wasn’t informed that the unit had been installed just a few weeks earlier. He was simply instructed to install heating components and a breaker. Better communication from Gould’s—both among their techs/installers and with us—would have made a significant difference. Since I had paid in full, it would have been helpful to be informed that the heater wouldn’t be operational if needed. Despite these missteps, the installation itself was clean, professional, and a noticeable improvement over my previous unit from 2018. Overall, Gould’s remains great people to work with!

These are them wanted to charge me $1,000 to fix the air conditioning, and I fix the problem was a $6 fuse, and the air conditioning works wonders.

They was on time and got the job done and went beyond what they said they would. Gave me step by step of what the job would be. Will call again when they are needed.

I was referred by a neighbor who has used First Response for years. I was able to get service on our AC the next day! I received a 1 hour-out call, & a link to see where the technician was (like Uber) & he arrived exactly on schedule. He was very professional, patient, & knowledgeable, and very thorough. He fixed our AC & made sure everything was working well before leaving. They also offer some great longer term maintenance programs for additional peace of mind.

We have had a maintenance plan for our A/C with 1st Response since they installed our unit 5 years ago. They are good at notifying us when it is due for yearly maintenance. The unit shutdown yesterday overnight and the house quickly started heating up. I called 1st Response in the morning and by noon Bryan was at the house to diagnose the problem. After checking the compressor he went up in the hot attic where the air handler is located (house is old) and determined the float was filled with water and a "T" valve was clogged with some debris. Once he cleared that up the pan drained and the unit began immediately cooling again. A quick and easy fix with no charge for the house call and fix. We have been pleased with our experience with our experience with 1st Response and recommend them to our family and friends.
