I had a crew from Freedom Solar at my home today. They completed the installation of my Solar power system including the Tesla Powerwall 3. The crew was professional, courteous and neat. The electrician, Tony provided me with excellent information.

I had Robert Groucutt as my sale person.
He was extremely professional and honest.
Robert layed out all the details of my project
He was immediately there when I had questions
My project so far is working great and saving me tremendous money on my electric bill.

Seemed awesome through installation. The team that came out were professional and did a great job. However, over 4 months later the system is still not on. If you manage to get someone on the phone, which is rare, they often can't help and promise a callback, which never happens. They dropped the ball getting the PTO from FPL. That was finally straightened out and now they are unreachable to get help getting the system up and running.

These professionals were exceptional. They provided straightforward, no-nonsense service and completed the installation remarkably quickly—in under six hours—including the solar panels and a Tesla battery. Robert was outstanding from the outset, maintaining constant communication and explaining each step as it occurred. Their online portal kept me consistently informed and prepared for every phase of the process. I highly recommend this team.

I’m very disappointed with my experience with Freedom Solar.

The sales pitch emphasized an “18-month no interest” offer, which made it sound like a true 0% APR promotional period. However, what was not made clear is that you are still required to finance through a third-party loan company. Although Freedom Solar provides 18 months of interest money upfront, the loan itself immediately includes those finance charges in the total amount.

This means that unless you pay off the entire loan on day one, you end up paying more than the original principal. In my case, I didn’t fully understand this structure until month 3, and by then I had already paid over $1,000 more than I should have.

The way this promotion is presented is misleading and lacks transparency. I strongly encourage future customers to carefully review the financing terms and ask very detailed questions before signing anything.

I hope Freedom Solar improves how they explain their financing structure so other customers don’t run into the same situation.

I do not recommend using Freedom Solar. A few years ago in Colorado we had a system set up and signed an expeneive warranty agreement that covered 25 years of maintenance and repairs.

Now Freedom Solar has pulled business out of Colorado and will no longer service our solar setup. They are recommending we void our warranty to get repairs.

They were great at first but can't live up to any of their promises work. They'll do the same to you, so enjoy that.

Edit: they have not reached out, they are just trying to look responsive.

Robert Groucutt from Freedom Solar has been my sales rep, and he is fantastic. From start to finish answering all of our questions, and diligently guiding us through the process. Everything is very clear, and they have fantastic terms and warranty options. I highly recommend Robert with Freedom Solar!

I had a great experience with Freedom Solar. Andy was top notch and got me all the information needed to make an informed decision. The attention to detail and response from his team to our needs was awesome. The installation took one day and the system was up and running in about a month and a half since our first contact.

Our experience with Freedom Power has been very good, specifically with Andy (our sales rep)! Whenever I had questions I would reach out to him and he was exceptionally quick to get back to me with an answer. Additionally, they handled nearly everything and kept me informed along the way. I did a decent amount of research before landing on Freedom (who I ultimately found through a referral from my friend) and they have been great through the entire process. We just got the system turned on and are looking forward to all the benefits of solar from here on out!

Our rep, Greg Beasley, is amazing. Not only is he knowledgeable, but he was always available day or night and weekends to answer any questions. A true pleasure to work with. The whole team was extremely impressive and professional. They explained the entire process and followed up each step of the way. Highly recommend.

Bobby Lyons was so informative and helpful! I wanted to learn more about the benefits of going solar and he broke everything down thoroughly for me. So grateful for his knowledge and help during this process. My only regret is not finding out about going solar sooner :) What an awesome company.

I have always thought about getting solar panels on my house but it was hard to make that initial investment. After months of research, reading hundreds of reviews, and speaking with multiple companies, I decided to go with Solar Energy World. David G, my project manager, was outstanding. He listened to my concerns, was able to answer all my questions, and most importantly all ways picked up the phone or reached back out to me almost immediately. The process was so quick and easy, the install team was very polite and professional at all times and the panels look very modern. I didn’t get solar panels to save the world (although I am glad it helps), I got them to save my wallet from the greedy power company.

I had no idea that leasing panels was even an option, but David walked me through the pros and cons of both leasing and purchasing the panels. For ZERO money down, maintenance all included, my monthly lease cost is a fraction of my electric bill. Honestly, I wish I have done this years ago. At this point, I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t use Solar Energy World, and I highly recommend you ask for David G.

The process was super easy and straight forward. Everything was handled by Solar energy including getting a new roof. Our system has been in for 6 months and I have had zero issues

Solar Energy World did an incredible job with my solar job. My buddy, who installs solar for a living, came and checked out their work afterwards and he said that it was some of the best work he had seen. No exposed electrical lines and everything is solid!! Thank you Brent Cotton for being trustworthy and letting me completely understand what makes this company stand out compared to others!!

I moved from Maryland to The Village's and wanted to install a solar system in my new home.
This wouldn't be my first system as I used Solar Energy World (SEW) in Maryland. I chose them over other 'name brand' companies mainly because of their reputation and the fact that they don't use subcontractors. Last thing I would want is to have someone literally drilling into my roof when they may be doing something completely different the next week.
In trying to decide who to use in Florida I actually contacted my sales rep in Maryland, Jon Krill, and he told me that SEW was opening a new branch in Tampa.
Brent Cotton contacted me and the job went as smoothly and professionally as it did in Maryland.
I'd like to extend a special 'shout out' to Santos A, Vince F, Dawson B, Vince M, Diego R and Serena T.
One thing I am sure of is that you won't have to worry about making the right decision about which solar company to go with. When you select Solar Energy World they will take care of EVERYTHING from planning to permitting to final inspections.

OVER PROMISED, UNDER DELIVERED. I continue to have a disappointing experience with Solar Energy World. At the beginning, our sales rep, Brent was wonderfully personable. He reassured us that he would always be available to assist with anything that we needed. That was very untrue as we found out after the ink dried. He took our issues to his company with absolutely no follow through from the service department. His responses to us now is that we need to contact customer service directly. We have contacted them numerous times without any attempt at a resolution to our system's issue. Needless to say, their customer service has been lacking. I’ve reached out multiple times with questions and concerns, but they never return my calls, which is incredibly frustrating.
Despite my attempts to get a technician to come out for service, no one has shown up, leaving me feeling neglected and ignored. To make matters worse, the solar system I purchased does not seem to be functioning properly. I expected better support and responsiveness when I invested in this service, but unfortunately, that has not been the case. I would not recommend Solar Energy World based on my experience.

The employees are from solar energy world, not subcontractors. They were professional and they did an excellent & clean install. Brent was great to work with. I highly recommend them.

I have had Solar Energy World for 5 years. They also contracted to have my roof replaced. I was doing some work removing the soffits and found some rotted wood. It should have been replaced at the time of replacement. I made one phone call, and the person in charge contracted the roofer, who then came down to remove the solar panels. A couple of days later, the roof was repaired, and the solar panels are back up and running. I am happy that I went with Solar Energy World, a one-stop shop. It was a 5-star rating. If I could do more, I would.

Very efficient and friendly, everyone knows there stuff and there were no pushy sales to deal with. They had flexible options to suit my current needs and future plans.
