Jay the AC tech that came had very good communication skills and informed us what the issue was and how to fix it.
He was prompt and on time when scheduled and was very informative and knowledgeable in his expertise. I highly recommend smith services and jay as the tech.

Upon learning about the government mandated new A/C requirements effective in 2025 which increase the cost of equipment, we explored the option of replacing both our A/C units. Smith has been our go-to maintenance provider and they responded quickly, explained details and were able to locate new replacement units. The installation process was professional and timely. The office staff and on-site workers are a pleasure to deal with and we have confidence in them.

We have been using Smith air-conditioning for the last few years on a yearly contract. Last month, the air conditioner wasn’t working too well they came out and reviewed what was wrong with it and told us it needed a new AC. We scheduled installation on a Thursday. The new ac unit is amazing, especially with the summer months coming up. Being able to cool off after playing outside all day with the little one is a breath of fresh, cool air. They replaced my entire central air system in a day and have been in touch in case I needed anything. They also have amazing plans that come with their services even after installation! I have used the a/c technicians at Smith Services since 2016. They have installed 3 a/c units and a dehumidifier at my house over the 9 years that I have lived in Vero. They are knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I highly recommend them!

Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this company and don’t let anyone sell you a Goodman HVAC system! I am being generous in giving two stars, because Smith did install our HVAC system 4 years ago, and replaced a fan motor under warranty 2 years later, which is too soon in my opinion. But they don’t manufacture the stuff, just install it, and it was ok. Last week, though, our system was not keeping up and the fan was cutting off after running just a few seconds. We called Smith Services and they sent out a technician. First off, the dude smelled like he had just hot boxed himself in the company van. Now it’s everybody’s choice if they want to smoke weed or not, but if you’re working for me in my house, I want to know you’re sober. Second, after he diagnosed that the blower motor needed replaced (another warranty part!), he wrote up the service contract, and they charged $450 just in labor to replace this one part!!! And third, they expected HALF up front PLUS the $95 service call!!! I have worked with contractors before and NEVER paid half up front for ANY labor! Any payment up front was expected because the company had to purchase goods to do the job. This part was covered under manufacturer’s warranty, so there was no outlay for the company prior to the job! I initially paid the half up front because I thought only Smith held the warranty. After sweating the whole next day, I never heard a word. Didn’t even know if the part was ordered. Late in the afternoon, I called the company. The part had been ordered, but the tech had not even been back in the office that day to give them my service order or check. And the scheduler had no idea when the part would come in or get installed! I asked for a manager to call me - never heard a word. Tge scheduler actually giggled when I told her the tech smelled like weed. Turns out, any HVAC contractor can get warranty parts - I ended up going with someone else that a friend recommended - they had the part by early the next morning and my air was back on before 10 am, and I only paid $115!

Installation of new equipment was swift and professional. Unfortunate issues with 2 separate intelligent thermostats resulted in us going manual standard thermostat.
All in all we're very pleased with the equipment and excellent customer service.

Most recently I used Smith Services AC to clean out my ducts for mould. They do a professional cleaning using the correct chemicals and a machine that uses a system which physically removes mould and debris I have used them for over 4 years since I moved to Vero Beach, and I'm very happy with the serice, they are 24/7 available 24 hours around the clock.

Firm did install on home built almost 3 years ago. Debbie in the office and service manager Mike are my main contacts and have always been responsive, reasonable and in general a pleasure to deal with. Costs of work completed are competitive. Fully recommend them for HVAC needs.
