HVAC reviews in Atlanta, Georgia

Moncrief was night and day significantly better than any other HVAC company I have ever used to install a new system. Extremely courteous, detailed oriented, consciences of my needs and best priced. I received quotes from four other large HVAC companies and Moncrief won out on service and price. I had such great service I recommended my neighbor who ended up needing a new HVAC shortly after I did to Moncrief and they had a great experience as well. Finally, I want to give a shout out Jerry the service manager who assisted me during the insulation process for going above and beyond. Thank you!

I shopped around when it was clear I needed to fully replace my HVAC after some failed repair attempts. Moncrief was not only the most fairly priced, but also the most transparent and professional. Everything about my experience - from the initial quote/consultation to installation - was smooth, and everyone I interacted with was polite and professional. I highly recommend them and appreciate each member of the team involved the process.

Blaine and Jose arrived on time and did a fantastic job of removing the old furnace and installing the new one. They moved the zone manager to a better spot and organized and secured the wiring around the system. They cleaned everything up as well. Very professional and friendly service.

Derrick came out today to troubleshoot an issue. Turns out there was as no issue, just some extra condensation for the first time running my AC this year and very high house humidity. He inspected my entire unit and assured me everything was ok and safe to run. As with all Moncrief technicians, I found Derrick to be extremely knowledgeable and very personable. He explained all the checks he was doing, along with the explanation of the problem I called in. If he ever answers a service call for you, you are in good hands.

Lucas arrived on time and seemed very well organized and prepared. He explained what he was doing and he invited questions. He was incredibly helpful. When I asked about adding a sensor to our system, he helped me find one on the internet and order it. And he promised that a technician would come back to set it up for me and perform an airflow test of our newly installed HVAC system. This was a big investment for us since we were replacing our entire HVAC system. And Lucas left me feeling confident and valued as a customer.

Seamless Experience from Sales to Install
We recently had a new AC system installed by Moncrief, and the experience was top-notch from start to finish. After getting quotes from several local companies, we are very glad we chose them.
Why they stood out:
• The Sales Process: Our consultant, Trevor, was fantastic. He wasn’t pushy, didn't overexplain things we already understood, and never insulted our intelligence. He simply provided a solid deal with an excellent warranty package.
• Prompt & Tech-Forward: The company uses modern communication tools that make the process feel seamless. The scheduling department is incredibly fast, whether you prefer text or phone.
• The Install Team: Pablo and his crew were total professionals. They were easy to work with, efficient, and—much like the sales side—weren't "needy" or pushy while in our home.
Final Thoughts:
All in all, it was a great experience. While the initial install and service were flawless, we look forward to seeing how the unit performs over time and how the company handles future warranty follow-through should any issues arise. Based on this experience, however, we’re off to a great start. -
Joey pulliam is the best HVAC guy out there
-
What the others said. Not qualified to be offering HVAC services.
-
Beware. Shoddy work. Doesn't return calls/texts. Needs to be redone correctly.
-
Where Essential begins!!!
-
Paid in full for plumbing work and he has since refused to come back to finish the job. Unresponsive to texts and phone calls ever since he received the check.
-
Scam artists at their finest. Will sell you “brand new” hvac only later to find it’s not brand new and also installed Improperly. They also never show up on time and return calls late
-
Replace faucet poorly. Broke faucet. Also replace hot water valve and hooked up to cold water. Try calling him to repair each items, said he would be over in two hours. He never show up. Try calling him back and no answer. I will not recommend this guy to anyone.

They did half a job then would not answer our calls for over a week. Finally got ahold of them and they apologized and said it was due to a hospitalization. We made a new appointment for Saturday and they kept pushing back the time all day and never showed. New appointment made for Tuesday and they were no call no show. Taking our business elsewhere. We still have no power to one of our bathrooms.

Rating is zero, but that’s not an option. Someone robbed my copper from my house and Pulliam was recommended on the Nextdoor app. I gave him a deposit - thank God not more!
The man did oh so many things wrong! Trunk lines are supposed to be three-quarter inch (his were 1/2”). Every fixture should T off to 1/2” (he had multiple fixtures off a T). He did not install a main shut off. He used blue and red lined pvc for the same water line. Pex pipe was not used near unheated crawlspace exterior windows. The wrong glue was used to connect pipes. The work was not tested before leaving. Multiple water leaks occurred. His worker literally used gorilla glue on toilet shutoff valve. He installed pvc pipe on the hot water tank instead of copper. And those are just some of the wrongs... don’t even get me started on his “I’m on my way now” lies! I have every text he ever sent with my responses and pictures of his ... do I dare say “work”? -
Joey is never on time and most times he doesn't even show up. Lot's of empty promises. Gas bill went sky high after "work done". Gas company confirmed that the work done was very poor and in fact said that the current situation is dangerous. They found a very bad carbon monoxide leak.
Joey stole my money and won't respond. Even though all his paperwork says that his work is guaranteed and under warranty. Thankfully we have a court system I'm going to drag him through to get my money back.
WARNING... DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY!
5/18/19 Update - My attorney told me that it appears Joey has been fraudulently running his business without a license. He has been reported to the Secretary of State for operating without a technician's license. They are conducting an investigation. He has also been reported to BBB. Next step, court! (Also, upon doing some Google searches it turns out that Joey has a criminal record.) -
***WARNING*** DO NOT Trust Joey!! I hired him to do work almost a month ago and he has not completed the work. He will take your money and stop answering your calls. He will tell you he’s going to show up and never will. His work is terrible! I wish I would’ve read these reviews before I hired him and now I have to take him to court. Please save your money and go with someone trustworthy.

Had Joey install 2 HVAC systems for rental houses. Completely botched both jobs. Had to pay someone to reverse damages. Paid to have him tap sewer line to the street which immediately backed up. Found out it didn't go to the street he "fixed" it by making it drain to the vacant lot next door. Avoid these guys, theyre dangerous. Zero stars

Joey and his wife Stacey are very professional and they are very passionate about their work and the quality of their finished product! The price is alwyas great and Joey WILL go above and beyond with out even having to ask so I highly suggest that you call them up! Joey is a good guy and he even will be happy to help you out with ANY other things you may need installed repaired or finished . He even came out on a random call and happily installed our new tankless water heater
Also after a few months I smelled something liek a wire burning and Joey was so awesome and rushed over at 10 o’clock at night to get it handled
Thanks PULLIAM HVAC -
TERRIBLE!!! He removed our working water heater and destroyed it. Pulled a bait and switch on the new water heater (tried installing a used water heater of a smaller capacity and different brand) and vented it in a location not agreed upon and destroyed our dryer vent. Shoddily attached it to the wall with damaged wood. They smoked cigarettes in our crawl space. Cancelled on us twice and then finally showed up 6 hours late at 6pm. Lots of excuses. At midnight we finally told them they had to come back the next day to finish; they promised to be back at 9am the next day because they left us without hot water and an unvented dryer. They NEVER came back to finish the job or get their equipment. The owner would never return our calls. The said they would issue a credit, then never posed it to our card and then told us twice they mailed us a check and never did- thank goodness for challenging credit card charges! We had to hire someone else to fix what Pulliam messed up. We were concerned about their low price and regret not listening to our instinct on this. Note that their good reviews are by people obviously related to them. DO NOT HIRE!!!
