We own a small business and for three years we would practically melt in the summer due to the A/C not working properly. We had another company come out a couple times and there was a slight improvement, but only one system was working properly out of the two. We called A Team...I am so glad I did! Turns out the other company either messed up wiring or didn't fix it during his visits. Not only did A Team come out almost immediately, but our store can now actually be cool in the summer heat; AND our electric bill was $100 lower than comparable months. I can without a doubt highly recommend A Team!

I called A-Team Services after a nightmare situation with my home warranty and another company. Andre came out and confirmed the other vendor had not even properly inspected stuff and lied about services. He was beyond thorough and honest and I ended up trusting A-Team to replace my entire system. They were so fast, reliable, and professional and I'm so happy to have found a company I can trust for regular check ups and maintenance going forward.

I used A-Team for my AC replacement and had a great experience! I got a new Rheem unit and after getting 3 estimates I chose A-Team because of how friendly and professional they were. They took the time to walk my wife and I through everything and told us info the others didn’t. The install was fast, clean, and the reps were so helpful. They did a great job! I’ll be using them for all of my future service needs and will definitely be recommending the A-Team to everyone!

I have used A Team for 10 years. Rodney, the owner and his wife, run a first class operation. Totally competitive pricing. Honest and professional employees. All with lots of experience. They will always be honest and fair. If making upgrade suggestions and you do not want, that is fine. I always take their advice though and trust their suggestions.

I use them for my home and my multiple rental units. Repair service is 24-7 and again, very fair pricing. I give them 10 stars out of 5. This is an unsolicited review.

Our experience with A-Team was absolutely amazing! Our AC went out on Thursday at our office. We called Reliable and they came out and realized they needed another part and would come back and fix our AC the next day. They didn't come and still hadn't come by today (Monday) at 2. I called A Team and Roger came out to our office and had everything fixed within 30 minutes of me calling. He was a superstar. Blown away by the speed of the service and the customer service we experienced. Highly, highly recommend!

We used A-Team for our upstairs and downstairs heating & air replacement and were extremely pleased with their work and professionalism. So when we needed our hot water heater replaced a few years ago, we used A-Team for that as well. Had an issue which we called them about this morning and by mid-afternoon our hot water heater was back in service. They have never kept us waiting for days when we have had an issue and, usually, the repair is done within 24 hours of calling. The owner, Rodney is knowledge and always willing to answer any questions. Wouldn’t consider using anyone else.

Installers were quick and tidy - answered all our questions about the new unit. Would definitely use them again.

This is the first Google review that I have ever left but because of how bad the service has been I just really want to warn others before spending thousands with this company to get work done. I have used this company multiple times over the past few years because the owner used to live in our neighborhood and he replaced the units on my house back in 2018 for the previous homeowners. Other neighbors also highly recommended them but every experience I have had with them has been bad to say the least. Most recently I called in because my power bill has more then doubled in the last 2 months at our house and the house is more energy efficient then it has ever been with all new windows, doors, insulated siding, and thermal radiant barrier installed in the attic last fall. When I called in I explained that I just wanted to have somebody come out and inspect everything to make sure I don’t have an issue causing my power bill to be so high. They send a tech out and he looked at the units inside then went outside and stood by the unit for a while on his phone then comes back in and tells me that he’s gonna have to charge me $300 for Freon because it’s 2lbs low but says that he’s not sure why it’s low because he doesn’t think I have a leak and didn’t mention anything about how that could or could not be causing my power bill to be so high which was the whole purpose of his visit. The office calls me a couple days later and I spoke with Rodney the owner on the phone and expressed my concerns. He goes on to tell me that if I was 2lbs low that there is definitely a leak and that he himself would come out to take a look the following day to make sure we figure out what’s going on. Well the next day Rodney did not show up but instead it was another tech who smelled like he had been out drinking all night the night before. He goes out to test the Freon because Rodney told me that if there was a leak that the Freon would be low again. He checks it and tells me that it’s not low on any Freon but he’s gonna go ahead and go look at the coil inside to check if there’s a leak. He stays down in the basement and about 30 mins later he says that my leak tester isn’t picking up much of anything but I think there may be a small leak and since it’s still under warranty I’m gonna go ahead and have us replace it anyways as if it would not cost me anything. A couple days later I get a call from the office scheduling the replacement with me for today and again the person on the phone said they would come out and replace it under warranty and never mentioned anything about a cost for me. Well the service techs get out this morning and before they start the replacement he goes on to tell me that it’s going to cost a little over 1k for them to complete the service today because the warranty covers the materials but not the labor. So now I’m having to come out of pocket over a thousand dollars to pay for something that both technicians told me wasn’t an issue. Overall the communication and professionalism is just terrible. I still have no idea why my power bill is so high which is the whole reason I had them out in the first place. They have lots of great reviews but I feel as if they take advantage of a lot of people without them knowing.

I’ve been a customer for over twenty years and they’ve always provided great service! They arrive on time, are friendly, knowledgeable, and honest! Rodney, the owner, is very nice & helpful! They have gone above & beyond for me at times my heater went out on the coldest night of the year, and I’ve purchased two A/C units and one furnace from them in the time I’ve been a customer for my old home and new one. Highly, highly recommend!!

The office people were friendly and professional and the service person who came out did a great job

Outstanding service from Marcio replacing my old mini split with a new one. Thanks also to Rodney and the entire A TEAM group for always providing fast, reliable, and reasonably priced service!

They worked so hard on a hot summer day! It was 96 degrees out. My attic is small and cramped. There was a freaking HEAT ADVISORY today with heat index values up to 109 expected. My AC condensation line was clogged, and wouldn’t budge. The team went the extra mile and stayed a long time to fix the issue. These guys are amazing.

These guys are the best, they have been servicing our heating and air for 24 years, they actually put our first system in and their second they're always on time and they always make things right

Our A/C unit went out. We called A Team, and Heber came out immediately, diagnosed the problem, and gave us our options on fixing it. After choosing our option, he ordered the needed part, and installed it once it arrived. Everything works perfectly. Both Heber and the A Team office were always prompt and professional, and we will definitely call on them again should any new problems arise.

A-Team has been our go to for service, replacement, and maintenance since we moved here from Chicago. They are the best! Today (Saturday) we called as one of our HVAC units wasn’t cooling properly. Travis arrived around 2:45, diagnosed the problem and explained everything and took really great care of us! Great service, great care and great price.

December 2022 post new American Standard furnace installation update: Discovered that my attic stairs will not close anymore. It appears during the installation damage to the brackets that fold to allow closing of the door were damaged. It had to have been quite forceful damage because the brackets are not fixable by hand and screw that holds the top brace is ready to fall off. Both springs now improperly aligned. Photos posted of damage to steps. If I had been told that the attic steps was damaged, I would have felt better with the honesty. Now, I'm less trusting because I wonder if my new furnace was damaged too. December follow-up: Emailed A-Team Services about the damage to the attic stairs/ladder and let them know the photos are posted here. Reply on December 28, 2022 was "We will speak to our technician and get back to you tomorrow. However, it is very common for this to happen to stairs just from opening and closing them." Really?! Common for attic ladders to be damaged like this just from opening and closing them? I will contact the major attic ladder manufactures/distributors to verify, because I don't believe that claim based on past service problems: 1 - Despite different techs for years pointing out TXV defect and a class action lawsuit about faulty TXV defect, Rodney said the problem was a leak and used Stop Leak but the next year, the same problem occurred. After close to $700 charge for the Stop Leak "fix", Andre advocated for me that the TXV was defective and when it was replaced, the problem stopped. 2 - No T-connection for the condensate drain pipe when my new furnace was installed in October leaving me no way to pour vinegar to keep the drain free of slug. Marcio returned to install one. 3 - This damage to my attic stairs/ladder being called "common from opening/closing" is incredible. Another poster (believe it was Rodney's neighbor) of a low review, saying problems are "normal" or "common" to dismiss them is unacceptable. I will give A-Team the opportunity to respond as they promised to in their "get back to you" email before filing a BBB complaint. Result of "get back to you": Rodney left a voice message that Marcio claims the attic steps/ladder was not damaged and he would have let me know if he did damage them.

Routine maintenance is only as good as the technician who does it. Accuracy and promptness of problem solving is the most important factor in who services your HVAC system.

October 2022: New Am. Std. furnace in attic was installed by Marcio after Andre, who regularly does my semi-annual maintenance advised that by the color of the flame there is a leak but not bad enough to require replacement of the 20 yr old Ruud furnace, yet. Decided to replace the furnace due to age. Marcio did the new installation alone and was very thorough using mastik instead of flimsy foil tape. Marcio noted that the condensate drain pipe was clogged and he cleared it. Only question I had afterwards was where the condensate opening is to pour vinegar to keep the drain clear (Andre recommended that practice after using Swoosh to force the blockage out). Marcio returned to install the opening in the pipe. But the drain line installed by a previous company was not angled to drain. Simple DIY to angle the line properly and the drain now flows freely.

Original 2021 post: American Standard A/C units less than 4 years old but were leaking R410 each year. Notes on maintenance since 2017 kept mentioning a problem TXV, but Rodney said it was the compressor which is under warranty and ordered a replacement. Rodney came to fix problem and discovered each A/C unit had a leak somewhere in the coolant line and applied Leak Stop. Both A/C units worked fine through the summer (2020). Leak Stop should seal leak for life of A/C.

Update 2021 summer: Turns out the TXV valve was a defect and a class action lawsuit would have covered the repair, if it was filed by 2020. Lesson learned is to believe what the technicians diagnose the same problem multiple times and research for manufacturer defects.

I have had the best experience with this company since I bought my unit from Rodney. I just got my AC tune up and Travis H. was my tech. He was so respectful and knowledgeable about numerous things I had concerns with. He even left me with a couple of tips I could use to get the best out of my systems. He was a joy to talk with and I'm glad he was my service tech.

We had a problem with our basement unit that required multiple visits without resolution. We finally were lucky enough to get Travis on the last service call. He found the root cause within minutes and fixed it just as quickly. He also didn't charge us since the unit had been serviced recently.

Can't say enough about Travis' technical knowledge and professionalism. In the future we will request him by name. A-Team should put him in charge of a company-wide training program to mentor all their junior technicians.

We've been A-Team customers for over 20 years and always been satisfied with their service, but this one issue was a tough nut to crack. Thank you Travis!

I’m extremely happy with the customer service provided and the new HVAC system installed by A Team Services. I received quotes from 5 companies before deciding to go with A Team, their pricing was great and they didn’t use hard selling techniques like many of the other companies. Instead of just looking at my existing system and quoting exactly what was already there, A Team evaluated my needs and recommended a different size system better suited for the size of my condominium. I’m glad I was able to support a small, locally owned business. Thank you!

Called them up for a repair when AC failed middle of summer. They quoted a price, but also advised how much money i could save by contacting original installer and using likely hardware warranty. Appreciated the quote, but also appreciated the feedback that saved me some substantial $$. Would absolutely use them again for future installs, repairs, or servicing.

Beware of this company. The blower on my heatpump system was not turning off properly. I called them for a service call. It was misdiagnosed by three of their technicians including the owner (Rodney). They charged me $549 and my system is worse off now then when they came out.

I called their office several times and received the run around, Finally after several calls, Rodney called and he was very rude and unprofessional. They will not return my money and I am filing claims against them. Do not use this company please. They are crooks per my experience. Keep my money that could be used to support my kids Rodney if I find no recourse. Karma will come back to you.
