My experience with Robert was horrible. Before he gets to my home he's telling me what AHS will and will not pay. I'm telling him that's fine. I just need my unit fixed before it gets hot. I called him an hr later and no answer. Call my daughter she says he has been gone. Bow down you leave without letting the customer know what's going on. I had to call into the office and have a manager look up my information. The tech calls me back I guess after the manager speaks with him. But now he has an attitude. He says. I told you AHS wouldn't cover it. I didnt find anything wrong and hung up in my face. So unprofessional. Don't care about how skilled you are or aren't. Customer service goes a long way.

I had an issue with my HVAC system. I called Rob and like Magic, the issue is no more. Perfect timing too. He fixed it right before the winter storm hit Atlanta. Great service. Quick turnaround. Knowledgeable. Affordable. 100% Recommend.

Title: DO NOT TRUST R&A Cooling – Unprofessional, Dishonest, and Unsafe

If I could leave zero stars, I would.

I was referred to R&A Cooling through a friend and my home warranty company for a furnace replacement. From the beginning, communication was poor: missed calls, long delays, and vague excuses—like “I’m at my son’s sports game, I’ll call Monday”—while I was without heat, and out of the country with guests in my home. I waited patiently for weeks, trying to give grace due to the referral, but it only got worse.

When the furnace was finally installed, the technician left attic debris behind and failed to install the PVC discharge piping properly. Months later, that mistake caused my AC to shut down due to water flooding—confirmed by a licensed HVAC professional who inspected the damage.

When I reached back out to R&A Cooling to assess it, the tech refused to acknowledge the connection between his furnace installation and the failure. He was rude, dismissive, and even told me “Don’t ever ask me to come here again.” I told him, calmly, that I no longer felt safe having him in my home. I followed up with a professional text message explaining my concerns. His response? “No one from the company will be reading this.”

Now R&A Cooling is doubling down by publicly lying in their response to my review, claiming:

1. I hired an unlicensed third party.
❌ False. I had a licensed HVAC tech assess—not alter—the system, to figure out what was wrong after their faulty install led to flooding. I have proof of this assessment, and no repairs were made without my warranty company’s direction.

2. I refused to let them inspect the unit.
❌ False. I contacted the company multiple times. It took four days and multiple follow-ups just to get a call back from the technician’s wife (his dispatcher). He then no-showed the appointment, and when patched in by phone, berated me.

3. I have a history of non-payment.
❌ Absolutely false. I have never failed to pay a bill and challenge R&A Cooling to produce any unpaid invoice. The claim that I postponed or avoided payment is not just a lie—it’s slander.

What’s more disgraceful is their suggestion that I “claimed the warranty company would take care of it.” That’s exactly how home warranties work: the warranty approves and pays for the work. The suggestion that I manipulated or delayed anything is desperate and defamatory.

R&A Cooling's response is not just unprofessional—it's gaslighting. Rather than owning up to poor workmanship and unacceptable behavior, they are publicly attacking me to protect their reputation. Their tactics are dishonest, their work unsafe, and their response to legitimate concerns threatening and hostile.

🔺 I strongly urge anyone considering this company—especially women, homeowners using a warranty, or those expecting basic professionalism—to look elsewhere.

And I have phone calls and text messages to verify each of my claims as most of the time we conducted business from my business line which auto records. This is shameful way for business to conduct themselves.

R&A Cooling is both professional and trustworthy. They never tried to upsell me, but instead clearly explained the work that truly needed to be done. It’s clear they take pride in every job they put their name on. If you’re looking for an HVAC company you can respect and rely on, R&A Cooling is the one to call.

I was referred to this business from my home warranty company. The technician, Robert stated that I needed an air handler unit. This was replaced about a week after the initial consultation and the system still doesn't work. I paid my money for a half repair (air worked one night!) and am still without air conditioning in the middle of the summer.
Edit: I never stated that the technician didn't return. The fact is that AFTER a diagnosis from a "professional" and a "repair", my air conditioner is still not functional. Furthermore, the new appointment has been already scheduled. The fact that I created a review of my honest experience should have no bearing on whether or not someone will return and honor the labor warranty.

I had someone else inspect my unit because it went out a couple of years after Robert and his guy's work which is crazy because these units and their work should last MUCH longer. Long story short, R&A COOLING, LLC did a horrible job, shouldn't be in business and could have killed my family and I. The technician said they could have started a fire with their shoddy work. They did not insulate ANYTHING. (PICS INCLUDED)
